Quaint restaurant with friendly staff. My meal started with complimentary chips and salsa, all of which were tasty. I ordered the Guadalajara Cheeseburger, which I had been craving since reading a review on it in the Chronicle. I was not disappointed. It was delicious and filing. Perfectly cooked, and served piping hot with all the toppings (avocado, pickles, lettuce, tomato slices on a separate dish), and hand-cut fries on the side.I'll definitely be back, but I doubt I'll order anything other than this burger.

This is a South Houston gem! Everything is cheap and delicious from the homemade tortillas to the Horchata. LOVE!

So glad to have Guadalajara back in the neighborhood! The food was awesome. I forgot to say I wanted *chicken* enchiladas verdes though which I prefer to beef. Definitely will be back if just to try the chicken enchiladas.

Visited here Saturday night about seven. Ordered a cheddar burger that was out of this world. I adore Mexican food but I'm wondering if I could ever get anything else. I took the top bun off of the burger to save a few calories but it broke my heart because it was crispy and buttery. The waitress came by to make sure it wasn't overly toasted and that they didn't need to redo it. French fries are hand cut and the bomb when you dip them in the atomic green sauce. I will definitely be back!

Super authentic and quaint Mexican hidden gem! I started with a Mexican coke and the nachos compuesto! Delicious and a huge helping. I didn't have room for my entree because I got full from the appetizer however, I know they make homemade tortillas daily so I had to have something with tortillas. I took the enchiladas verdes to go. I planned on having it for dinner but once I got back to work, my office was filled with the great aroma and I dug in. I will definitely be back to this hidden gem. I want to try their burgers because they've been featured in the Houston Chronicle for them. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. Wonderful experience and good prices! Oh and the salsa is to die for!!! Just the right about of spice and it's served hot unlike many restaurants that serve it chilled.

Stopped for breakfast with some coworkers. Really good food and not expensive. Our waitress Kathryn was amazing. Our coffee cups never went dry and she was very nice and friendly. Stopped by for lunch and ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were very good. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice. Definitely going back to try other menu items.

Went for breakfast after mass Mothers Day. I had breakfast tacos and my wife had Caldo de res ( Mexican soup ). The chips and hot sauce were awesome. We used to come here in the '80s when mom and dad owned this place. They leased it out and the people ran it to the ground. Brother and sister took it back and revived all the original recipes. Eastend is being revitalized. I saw a lot of young gringo's enjoying good Mexican food cooked like momma used to make. Down to the hand made tortillas and refried beans. Prices are low and they serve great food. This will be my to-come restaurant. Welcome, back to the neighborhood. VIVA PAPPAS CON HUEVO!

Fajita was on point, rice was good refried beans tho!!!!Them refried beans was amazing! Definitely coming back to try something different next time

Service was fast and staff was attentive but the food was eh so,so . First time here but wouldn't come again anytime soon Ham torta was too soggy, flauta plate was ok
