Taqueria Cancun was very okay. I ordered a torta de fajita and it was okay, my partner ordered a fajita plate and it was good. The meat was tender, and the rice and beans were okay. The weakest point in this place are the salsas, they lacked heat and flavor but for a quick bite it is an okay place. Service was decent but could be better.

Restaurant has steadily decreased, I remember when it was fresh food, and the fried fish, was to die for. Now it's average mexican food, with alot of grease. On the other hand, their chips taste alot better!

Weekday lunch is so cheap it brings me back often. The lunch price includes a drink and soup. The bean soup (charro beans) is so good, filled with an assortment of pork meats (probably bacon and chorizo). The salsa served in a bowl is probably thickened with cornstarch, but the flavor is pretty good and it's free. It's like a salsa gravy. I usually get chicken enchiladas. The seasoning of the chicken is different than any other place I've been, but it's good for such a cheap lunch. They are not shy at all about giving you cheese on top either (A+!). I'm not a fan of the rice but I ate their refried beans by the gallon when I was pregnant. The service is hit-or-miss. We usually sit at the big tables in front of the register for lunch and service is usually awesome. Food is usually out very quick. So quick that you should order after eating about half the chips you usually eat. It's a better deal to get a breakfast plate to make your own tacos instead of buying breakfast tacos. Plus you get beans and potatoes. Mmmm.

This was an alternate stop for me when plan A went down the drain. I wasn't expecting much. The place is not much to look at and I've never heard anything about it. My stop wasn't stellar, but it was a lot more than I expected. Cancun has that hardcore taqueria look--dimly lit and Spanish tv running in the background, not blaring though. There's also a jukebox, but it was too early for tunage I guess and I wasn't about to crush the serenity of the place with Spanish Polka. I started my order with Agua Fresca de Melon. Not a great start. It's watered down melon. . . I hate that. Can't win them all I guess, so I moved on to the tacos.Chorizo with egg was first on my plate. There was nothing special about the taco. I was starting to get depressed when the al pastor sparked life back into me. The al pastor is zippy, not dry and pretty damn decent. At least in the early A.M. Props!Barbacoa was my last treat and I was pretty happy. Nice, tender, delicious . . . not big on fat here, which isn't healthy for you--but damn it's so good. So yes, a more healthy, tasty barbacoa dished out here. Not a bad outing!

This place is disgusting... We ordered a torta de pollo and torta de aguacate y queso. Both tortas were disgusting, It did not have taste at all and they put a lot of mayonnaise but I mean a lot!!! I ordered cheese too that one was cold and had no taste. We ordered also a Horchata for drink that was the only thing that taste good.

I began my love affair with Mexican food at Arandas 25 years ago. I left Houston and 18 years have gone by. I was back in town and I decided to see if it was still open and to my delight nothing has changed much except the ash trays have gone -no complaints there.Staff were still super friendly and it still has that authentic feel to it.They are obviously very proud of the establishment and rightfully so.Food is still delicious and I give it a big 5 stars!Thank you!

I could not tell you what I ate here many years ago, but for me to not remember a meal means it was pretty average. I decided to try them again for breakfast tacos. I got an assortment of tacos to bring to work: chorizo, bacon, potato, and shrimp, all with egg and cheese. I was pretty hesitant about the shrimp and egg because I've never tried or even heard of that combo before. I was expecting it to be unpleasant, but it was actually okay. I wouldn't crave it or seek it out in a menu again, but it was not bad. Their potato egg and cheese was fine, but not my favorite. Same with the green salsa.Overall, I felt like this lived up to my memories of average tacos, but with the luxury of having a drive thru window.

This place I have visited for the past 28 year. Until I've paid atention to the night shift staff, they are the worst people I have come across in a restaurant. Very unprofessional what a disappointment. Good luck people.

Good Mexican food, fast preparation, lots of food for the money, good parking to seating ratio, good salsas, amazing prices, and a drive through! What more could you ask for?? (answer: 10 more salsa verde cups pls)Anytime my friends and I find ourselves hungry and a bit short on spare cash, we will ALWAYS consider Taqueria Cancun, even when we've had Mexican food multiple times in the same week. Being that this place has always been close to my old highschool, I've eaten here regularly for the past 6 years and I've never had a problem with the apparent uncleanliness that others have reported on here, though the restaurant itself is kinda old and I completely understand that my experiences can be very different than those of others. Doesn't ever stop me from shelling out a couple bucks for an enormous torta!!
