This little restaurant was great for the homey style it offered. It was very calm and small, with a cozy atmosphere that made you feel right at home. The service was great; the staff was efficient and checked on us frequently. I had Mei-Fun noodles, which were delicious, and I loved that they included plenty of vegetables instead of just a few, as other places would have. However, the Crab Rangoon was not what I was expecting at all. It almost tasted like it was made with a distinct taste of artificial crab; it was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the other options were good, and my friends also felt that the soups were great as well. Overall, the prices were great and the portion sizes were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. I can see myself coming back here for take-out.

This little restaurant is nice. It's a bit sterile atmosphere dining in, and has a stream of Door Dash types picking up. The servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The dumplings were as expected with a tasty dipping sauce reminiscent of soy and hoisin. The hot and sour soup, is a great benchmark to me. If this soup is really good, it portends favorably for the location. Here it is good. Chock full of veggies and tofu the broth has heat but just a touch thinner than I like. The Tom Ka soup is also tasty, some heat, but looking for stronger coconut flavor. The veggies are very fresh. The mixed sushi and sashimi stands out. Great mix, rice stayed formed. All was just so fresh and really a big portion for us.

Dined here for lunch after reading all of the great reviews. And I must say we were not disappointed. There were 3 specials featured on a board in the entryway and they all looked delicious. We started with 2 and decided to also order the third. They are listed in the photos. The restaurant was very clean and the service was outstanding. I must say it was some of the best sushi we have ever had. I would highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance. We will definitely return.

I rely on Yelp reviews when I want to try new -- meaning new-to-me -- restaurants. That's how we ended up at Tao One.While there's no indication on their website, the restaurant is BYOB. When we arrived Friday at 6:00 p.m., T and I were the only people there. By 6:30 only one table was vacant, and a good number of folks were waiting patiently for takeout orders. Here's what we ate:/// Coconut milk tom kar with chicken -- the broth was thinner than what I'm used to, but the soup was packed with flavor./// Triple delight with chicken, beef and shrimp. The vegetables were crisp, but the dish was nothing special. To be fair, it's normally prepared with brown sauce. I asked them to substitute white sauce which was so subtle, I question if there was any sauce at all!/// "Do you have green curry?" I asked. (It's not on the menu.) They were happy to oblige, and the sauce was delightful with a little kick. As with all their dishes, you can choose your protein. We ordered shrimp.I normally don't gravitate to restaurants that serve more than one type of Asian cuisine. But I may need to branch out, as Tao One does a pretty good job with Thai, Chinese and Japanese. (I took note of the tables around me.)The staff is welcoming and nice. If you don't want to deal with their popularity (which of course necessitates a bit of a longer wait) hit 'em up during the week.

Cannot emphasize enough how incredible the service was at Tao One. Everyone was friendly, and the chef was more than willing to alter dishes to accommodate everyone's preferred spice levels.

A great new addition to the Asian food scene along the Main Line. The place itself is a small, clean, modern space that may sit 30 max. The owner seems very nice an eager to please. We've ordered takeout 3-4 times now and this has become our go to place because both the Chinese and sushi are delicious and the prices are fair. Try it - you won't be disappointed!

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The salmon sushi was fresh and a true delight. The restaurant's environment was tidy, comfortable, and quiet, with soothing background music that added to the overall ambiance. The dishes were quickly served, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

Ordered from here via DoorDash and have to say it was delicious. We ordered a bit more than we should have, but got two Signature Rolls, a small Tofu Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons, Spring Rolls, and Seared Pork Gyoza. First off, love that they put the fried foods on doilies in the to-go containers. Small detail but we found it charming and useful. The food itself was generous in portion size, and every single item was delicious. Rangoons had my preferred balance of cheese to crab, everything was still crispy where it needed to be, and very tasty. We definitely want to order from there again, but think pickup or sit-down would be preferential. Nothing against DoorDash, but this food deserves a more immediate tasting. (though next day leftovers we're just as good)Recommend!
