I ordered the tandoori chicken, and it was delicious. When I order it, I did not know if it was curry or if it was grilled chicken at the time I was in the mood for curry, but it did not matter because the tandoori chicken was as tasty as you can imagine from the picture.

Atmosphere: Tandoori Bites has a dark and cool interior. When we went on a Thursday dinner and there was no wait. Service: Our food came out quickly, and our servers were attentive throughout our meal. Food: We ordered the Mango Lassi, Fish Vindaloo, Chicken Korma, and Garlic Naan. The Mango Lassi was still a fruity and refreshing treat before our meal. The Fish Vindaloo was very flavorful, and the fish was soft and light. Our one complaint was that the sauce was rather acidic and tomato-like for our taste and overpowered the flavor of the fish. The Chicken Korma was creamy with a decent number of tender chicken bites. Overall: We enjoyed our first time at Tandoori Bites. The Mango Lassi and Chicken Korma were both very good, and while we did enjoy the Fish Vindaloo, we might opt to try a different dish next time!

My family & I ordered for pick up last week. We got our usuals: butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, & goat tikka masala, & garlic naan. It was just ok. We have a Tandoori Bites in our hometown, Wilmington, NC, & we all like the Wilmington location better. I was actually surprised, because I assumed this location would be better, since this area is more diverse than Wilmington. My daughters both thought the butter chicken was too buttery. My lamb was very tough, compared to what I'm used to, & my husband said his goat was a lot tougher than usual. Maybe it was just an off night for them. I would not go out of my way to go here again.

A Harmonious Blend of Tradition and ComfortIn the heart of Durham, North Carolina, nestled amidst a bustling locality, resides Tandoori Bites, a restaurant that boasts an enticing blend of traditional Indian fare and a serene ambiance. As one approaches the establishment, the first noticeable convenience comes in the form of upfront parking - a small yet significant gesture toward welcoming its patrons.Upon entry, one is greeted by a clean foyer which seamlessly transitions into a meticulously decorated dining area. The aesthetics here are notable; a warm palette of green and blue uplighting delicately accentuates the white marble stone facade that frames the dining area, creating a tranquil yet sophisticated environment. The soft tunes of Indian classical music meandering through the air further enhance the cultural authenticity of the dining experience. As I settled into the comfortable seating, I commenced my culinary journey with a cup of hot chai tea accompanied by a serving of fresh cold water, setting a comforting prelude to the meal. The service was prompt, and the tea exhibited a balanced blend of spices, embodying the essence of traditional Indian chai. The first course, a serving of vegetable samosa, arrived shortly. The samosas were impeccably cooked with a perfect crust, encasing a warm, flavorful filling that was both satisfying and tantalizing to the palate. The main course, a hearty serving of lamb biryani without cilantro as per my preference.A minor hiccup occurred as the dish initially arrived with cilantro, however, the staff was extremely accommodating, swiftly rectifying the error by preparing a fresh serving. The lamb biryani, upon its re-arrival, was a fragrant ensemble of tender lamb pieces mingling with well-cooked, spice-infused rice. The dish came out hot, causing the expected lite sweat on my forehead; which fulfilled a rich, aromatic, flavorful experience. The portions were generous, ensuring a satiating meal while providing an option for a delightful next-day leftover treat. The culinary finesse of Tandoori Bites shines through in its ability to deliver robust, flavorful, and aromatic dishes, ensuring a thorough gastronomic adventure. The restaurant not only emphasizes the essence of Indian cuisine at a modest price, but also underscores a high standard of customer service, showcased by their prompt rectification of the minor cilantro mishap and the extremely attentive wait staff. In summation, Tandoori Bites offers a sublime dining experience. Its harmonious blend of authentic Indian flavors, a serene dining ambiance, and attentive service makes it a commendable choice for anyone seeking a cozy yet refined dining escapade in Durham.

Got takeout here. Some of the best restaurant Indian I've had. Very rich, lots of flavor. The lamb Tikka masala and the garlic naan were phenomenal. I can't wait to try the biriyani next time I'm in the area.

Definitely our go-to place for Indian food in the area. The food is fresh, spices are on spot and it never disappoints. Some of my favorite dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, Manchurian Gobi, wheat le Samosa, Vegetable Pakora, and Dal.

When I tell yall I have been CRAVING Indian food! This place hit the spot. First walking into the establishment, it is such a beautiful setting with the tables and the pretty light fixtures and it is very clean. Our waitress was very helpful explaining certain ingredients and dishes to us. My friend got mango Lassi and I tried it. Omg it was delicious. It pretty tasted like a mango smoothie but smoother with more of a yogurt consistency. It is a must get if you go to an Indian restaurant. Only down side is that it was $4 for the size glass it was in. We ordered lamb samosas, butter chicken, goat biryani and garlic Naan. The lamb samosas were a little dry but the seasoning was flavorful and the sauce it came with was tangy and definitely helped the dryness of the meat. I'd still get it again because it was that good and meaty. They did not skimp out! The butter chicken was chefs kiss I just wish they gave more chicken ! It literally was a bowl full of sauce and maybe like 6 pieces of chicken. We need more chicken! The butter sauce was creamy, perfect amount of spicy for me and the chicken wasn't overcooked. With the garlic Naan and the biryani it was so amazing. For the amount of chicken we got though, it wasn't worth $17. Now the star of the night, I believe was the goat biryani. The spices of the rice with the goat meat just melted in my mouth and it paired so perfectly with the garlic Naan. Now I mixed mine with the butter sauce and I just think I can't have one without the other now. It was everything I hoped it would be. The Naan was thin, fluffy and soft and the perfect scoop for my food. I don't know much I ate, but to have a cheat meal, this was heaven. I'd definitely check them out if you're in Durham off 15 501.

My sister and I order out from Tandoori Bites pretty frequently. We've tried the chicken tikka masala and korma. Both are very flavorful and delicious. Not the best, over-the-top Indian food that I've had, but it always hits the spot.Delivery is always good and on time. We come back several times for the convenient location and fair pricing.
