My nephew loves this place and wanted us to take him there for lunch. The place was empty during lunch time but very clean and our server was nice and patient. We ordered their spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, salmon rolls, and their chocolate molten cake. Everything was decent, nothing great.

THEY RECENTLY CHANGED OWNERSHIP... NEW OWNERS / WORKERS & NEW MENU (way less than from before.) Family owned, because there's a little boy running around by the bar. I typically don't leave reviews unless I really have to.. I'm giving this place 1 stars, and that's just me being nice.. the smell in this place is horrendous, far worse than from before. And the restroom smells like urine.. straight urine... If you want to take a chance, you can but I wouldn't come back.. one of our drinks had plastic in it, and it wasn't from the straw either and nor was it paper from the straw The waitress here, she manages being the host and a server, and her English isn't the best either so it's a bit difficult to understand her and it's difficult for her to understand us when ordering.. My daughter had ordered shrimp tempura the dinner portion, and it comes with a side of either white rice or fried rice.. We asked if we could substitute the side of rice for French fries and if there's an additional charge that's fine with us.. And when my daughter's food came out... she brought out a side of white rice and side of French fries...And when we asked her if the shrimp tempura was coming out, she said "oh? No..." Then she asked if we wanted a shrimp tempura roll? Then after she placed an order of the appetizer shrimp tempura.. We also order yuzu halibut carpaccio.. that was definitely a no go.. that wasn't it... House salad was meh, it said there's pecans but only 1 pecan....We ordered, a sushi roll which was the negi toro roll... the rice was hard and the "toro" in it was dark as in not as fresh.. We also ordered otoro nigiri... the otoro was hard.. not soft nor buttery.. and again.. rice is hard. Madi nigiri, they topped it with sate, it wasn't itUni was, meh. Sweet shrimp, was okay.Miso soup is miso soup. AND AGAIN, THE RICE WAS HARD. My youngest daughter had the California roll, she ate it and said "it's okay momma."Total for our meal was $169.42... NOT WORTH IT AT ALL... Definitely sad to know that the owners sold it, the menu before was so good.. sucks to see it go like this.

I have visit multiple time now, this is a mix review of previous visit and latest one.On our last visit the first thing that wasn't right was the smell as soon as you walk in there an awful sewer smell I think there a leak issue in the entrance the rest of the restaurant smells okay. Service as always is fine and fast so no issue thereWe personally keep going back because the drinks are excellent, I'm not gonna say the sushi is the best I ever had but is pretty good that we keep coming back As for sitting here's my opinion if the weather is nice sit outside it makes your visit 100% better, if its too hot and you have a small party ask to be sit next to a window facing the lake, bigger parties unfortunately don't fit window sitting. Now for the Food When it comes to appetizer keep it mind they are just as expensive as ordering a plate and the portion are smaller, I suggest order yourself another roll instead of the appetizer more food for the same price. Anything under the sushi Dinner Features is enough for two people and they are platted beautifully always a favorite. Only odd part is they Chirashi came with an onigiri that had no filling. I don't think you can go wrong with any sushi roll or sashimi you order so pick your favorite Lastly skip the dessert so far none of them have been above average, the Irish coffee is a big no. If you are still feeling sweet there a cupcake in the same plaza.

While staying at the nearby Hyatt I got a hankering for something light as we'd been in town visiting with a very BBQ-heavy family gathering. Don't get me wrong, I love all the BBQ...just needed something lighter to enjoy on my own in between gatherings.I love that it is within a short walking distance from the hotel and we were able to get it as takeout. I ordered a variety of nigiri pieces (salmon, fatty salmon, red snapper, fatty tuna, scallop, yellowtail, and amber jack) and my husband tried their Mango Tango roll with gyoza for the kids to nibble on. I have to say that everything tasted very fresh and didn't need the soy and wasabi that it came with. I absolutely loved that they had the "fatty" options available because I love splurging a little more when I can on those yummier pieces of sushi.Ordering on their website was a breeze and they had our order ready for pickup within the hour. Overall we were very happy and whenever we're in town or staying at the nearby Hyatt we'll be sure to dine here again!

Disappointing. Reservations. Oh it will be 30-40 minutes. I look around and say I'm plenty of open tables, we are here with reservations seat us now and just give us drinks no rush on service. They had to get a manager to make that happen. After that it was ok. Our server actually was fast. We got extra sake on the house for our troubles. So get your reservations in order. Bring the quality of food up. When it was Azuma the food was great and the service was. Too many Japanese places to be subpar in this area.

Love this place!! Great sushi. I would say it's the best sushi in the Fort Bend area ( only Tobuio in Katy compares). Lovely little restaurant with outdoor seating as well. I would recommend it. They also have a nice cocktail section.

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had in my life at a nice restaurant. I came there with my two elementary school aged kids (who are old enough to use silverware and chopsticks and very well behaved) and the waitress treated me like I had small toddlers, gave us plastic ware and was offended and rude to me for asking for cloth napkins after she handed me a stack of paper napkins, rude to me for asking for chopsticks, SOY SAUCE and wasabi (at a sushi restaurant! We were seated outside on the patio and there were absolutely no condiments at the table so I asked for some when my rolls arrived), gave me an attitude after getting my martini order completely wrong (I asked for it to be extra dry and specified that I wanted NO vermouth in it- it came to me thirty minutes later filled with vermouth) and so I asked for a Pinot Grigio instead because they were out of that gin to make a new drink correctly for me. She acted like I was being difficult and proceeded to be cold and rude to me for the rest of the meal. I was very polite to her through out the meal and every time I asked for anything, she had a scowl on her face and gave me an attitude. She barely spoke any words to me at all when bringing anything to my table. Even my ten year old daughter couldn't believe how poorly she was treating us.The girl who made the drink incorrectly came by and apologized and was very gracious to me, and I appreciated this. The food was pretty good and had my service been better and had I been treated with the same respect that every other patron there had received, I would be back, but sadly they have lost a customer. I visit many restaurants all over Houston and I've never had this kind of disappointing experience. I hope this never happens to anyone else again.
