Came in for Valentine's Day dinner. There was a wait. Looks like a lot of people had the same idea. We waited for 30 mins before we got seated.Taizzi has an extensive menu for AYCE. Each order is made fresh. There is a big selection of sushi, sashimi and rolls. Their rolls are big so be selective on what your order. Their sashimi are cut into big chunks as well. We ordered tuna, salmon, red snapper, octopus, tamago, hamachi, etc. i would skip the scallops as these are tiny scallops . We asking had grilled salmon collar. Too bad they ran out of yellow fin collars that night. Shrimp tempura was crispy. Galbi was delicious. Tried the fresh eel... very good. Should have ordered a second round. We ended our night with strawberry ice cream and green tea mochi. Staff was friendly and was easy to flag down to place additional orders. There is ample parking in the strip malls place is casual and not too noisy. They have TVs by the bar. Will plan to come whenever we start craving for sushi again.

If you didn't know, the owner from Sushi Junai in Austin came to Houston to open this, so any Longhorns step up!! Ofc a little pricy, but if you got hungry friends who love sushi, this is the place to go. You'll get more than. Your fill. Make sure to get the beef nigiri and the screaming Os.Their Korean food is high key slept on so get some galbi to make ur bang for the buck. When I went they didn't seem to have enough servers, so have your next order ready when they bring you your food!!

I've tried several AYCE sushi places but this one takes the cake. By far the highest quality of fish when it comes to AYCE. I was thoroughly impressed with the thick cuts of sashimi and the assortment they have. I wasn't a fan of the handrolls as I didn't expect them to be that big plus the seaweed was soggy. Service was great. The manager and servers are very attentive. They check up on you frequently and have a great sense of when you're ready to order more. All in all, will definitely be back!

Delicious sushi, good quality fish, creative rolls! And the AYCE prices are really fair for what you get. We love Taizzi!

I am updating my review to note that on Saturday, 9/23, I brought a party of eight to Taizzi. One half of my table (4 people sitting together) all got food poisoning after the meal. The other half were fine so we can only guess that it was a sashimi dish they ordered that we did not (everything else was the same on both sides). I have emailed Taizzi about this but did not receive a response. While I still recommend this restaurant for overall service and diversity of menu selection, I would caution against the sashimi. I will update if I get a reply.

One of the few AYCE sushi places in town. However, when we came they were doing a summer special where all the rolls were half off. That's an incredible deal. I ordered the eel roll and the scallop roll. Both were so fresh and packed with ton of ingredients. Our overall bill came out super cheap too 2 rolls for $15-20. The service was fine at first but it took a long time to get the bill. Would love to try some other items on the menu or their AYCE when I'm hungrier!

Went for dinner... the place was not packed when we arrived but filled up as we ate. It is family dining. Open and casual atmosphere. Service (Josh was our server) was friendly and helpful. There is a longer delay than expected between ordering your food and receiving it. If doing AYCE, you are limited to how much you can order because they don't want you to waste the food. The dinner menu has a lot of options and can be overwhelming but take a breath and look through the options. There are also item not part of AYCE. It might be helpful for you to write down the items you are interested in. Also the more people you have also allows you to try more items because you can share. And for the people who are not interested in raw fish there are options for you too. I actually preferred the sashimi... super white tuna, salmon and the Ninja Albacore were my favs. Nice thick cuts of fish. . We also tried....Agedashi Tofu - good texture- where were the bonito flakes?Seaweed Salad - I didn't tryFried Calamari - crispy and tenderMixed Vegetable Tempura - like tempura veggie strawsLA Galbi - I preferred no sauce and it was goodKampachi Sashimi - if you like lemon.. pretty goodWhite O- sauce was very light - not one of my favs Taizzi Tower - If you like sweet and savory then this is an option for you. Sashimi:Peppered Tuna - goodFatty Salmon - okSalmon - delicious Garlic Tuna - okNinja Albacore - delicious Yellow Tail - didn't trySuper White Tuna - delicious Fresh Water Eel - unagi - comfort food - CandyCane - Fresh yes sauce - wish the soft shell crab was more crispy - 7.5/10Tai -Special 2 Tops- delicious but hard to pickup & eat packed w/ stuff - 8.5/10Double S - no rice... a too sweet for me - 5.5/10BSCR- baked - topped with baked scallops... I didn't tryCherry Blossom - no rice - tasty - 8/10

It was our first time trying out this spot and it was nestled in a busy shopping centre like a hidden gem. They were running a special, half off all a-la-carts items (which is 90% of their menu!) so my partner got two rolls and I got a bento box. I've been to plenty a Japanese restaurant, and never have I seen such a modest price point ($16.99!) for essentially a build-your-own bento kit. I chose seaweed salad (arguably one of my favorites I've had, with a lovely spice to it) for my starter, vegetable tempura for my side (shoe-string style; delicious!) and salmon teriyaki for the entree (covered in plenty of veggies and a generous amount of salmon). It was a heaping helping fit for two meals if you have a meager stomach like me. $16.99 for two meals is a steal, though! We got mochi for dessert and it came with a scoop of ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. All in all, this place is a new favorite and most likely our go-to spot for Japanese cuisine now. Cozy, warm lighting, several TVs if you're a single diner looking to tune out to whatever's on, and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!

We've been living in the area for some time now and always wanted to try Taizzi. Finally stopped by and glad we did! Cannot complain for an AYCE sushi restaurant. This is a solid establishment where the dishes were all tasty. They have an expansive AYCE menu and the portions are reasonable so you don't end up ordering too much (they will charge if you have excessive food leftover). The one thing I didn't care for was the wine glasses... highly recommend to swap out for standard glasses. The metal ones they use look worn out and have a metallic taste to them. Will definitely be back to test out the lunch AYCE menu.
