Tacos Tapachula

These guys are fantastic and deserve way more publicity than they are getting. First off, their tortillas are made fresh and right there on site. You cannot go wrong with the corn or the flour tortillas. I have been a fan of Tacos Tierre Caliente for a very long time, and these guys in my opinion have taken the throne. The tacos are filled up robustly. Their bold flavors are intoxicating, especially with how they do their pastor and chicharron (sp?) tacos. The breakfast tacos with chorizo and egg is also delectable. The eggs are not plastic tasting and unseasoned like many a taco stop. They have two salsas available, their green and red. The red is pure heat. However, the green is so delicious and spicy that I cannot recommend any other salsa with their tacos.What a delight. Make sure you have cash, as they don't take card, and make sure you are able to at least order your food in spanish. Love these guys. Great work y'all, keep it up.

At first when I heard $8 for a torta cubana I was unsure if I was being charged the right price, since I know other food trucks which sell tortas for around $5. But once I got home and ate it, man oh man!! I'm a husky 6'1" and I couldn't even finish the torta due to being too full. This torta was filled with all the necessary parts of a true cubana torta, and was hot and fresh. They wrapped the torta in plastic wrap so your fingers could stay dry while the fixins moved around (I assume). The torta was really tasty and full of flavor. Looking back, the $8 price was justified, due to it being full of various ingredients, and not just the standard bread, meat, avocados, and various condiments. I'm glad I found this on Yelp and was glad I didn't judge this "food truck book" based on its "cover".

I posted this review a few months back and did not see it on Yelp. This place is a must. It is pretty busy during lunch time and they have frequent drive up customers. Just had the tacos de Buche and they are incredibly good. Also had a Cuban Torta and knows I should have quit with the tacos but could not resist. Very good!

So good and very fast service!! I had the beef fajita tacos. So delicious. Can't wait to come back to check out their breakfast tacos.

Now this is an update for the five star review I gave before and it was just as fantastic this time around. The tortilla was homemade and the potatoes were crispy, the salsa was spicy and flavorful, the bacon was just enough, and the cheese was stretchy. Winning.

This is a must if you're visiting best tortas in town!!!It kinda takes you to Mexico.. really authentic..I never really liked the idea of food trucks but this is an exception!!
