Tacos Estilo Hidalgo #2 y Pupuseria

Affordable Latin American eats.While not my favorite place to order tacos and pupusas, this joint won't rock the bank like some of the other places I ate. This place is frequented by construction and other blue color workers, so you know it's gotta be bussin for the value. I ordered a variety of different tacos; pollo, asada, Al pastor, lingua and loroco pupusa. The chicken is very bland, the safe option for people with low spice tolerance. The other meats have decent flavor but tend to be on the dry and chewy side. The pupusas are lovely and I always enjoy watching them assemble and fry on the griddle. The cortido is a nice crunch and if you want other options, they have a salsa bar to tack on more. The staff speak Spanish and will try to explain what an item is, but it's best to study before hand. They're really nice and patient and will try to describe something if you didn't prepare ;) Easy lunch and quick dinner option.

Cheese pupusas was great. Bean and cheese too dry.Chicken burrito was extremely dry. My company threw it out. Chicken quesadilla was great.Logistics: no paper menus on hand that day. The said they ordered them. Overhead menu very hard to read the red text on green background. I had to guess for my aging parents what they wanted to order.The salsa bar had zero labeling of the sauces offered. I choose one that was nuclear hot. I wanted mild stuff. Poor labeling prevented my dad from getting salsa for his dry burrito. You are only given one paper sauce cup to place your unknown sauce in. I think it would be better to have mini paper ketchup cups at the bar and clearly marked sauces.The music was overwhelmingly loud. Santitation grade was in the 90s so that was fine.Overall I think our dining experience could have been much better. Otherwise I will just return for takeout instead of eating in

Great food. Very authentic but a little hard to order because some of the menu is in all Spanish which is ok. I just googled some of it. Some of the best papuses I've ever had. The dining area is really cramped but the food makes this place a must try!

After scrolling on Facebook, I ran across a video tutorial of how to make pupusas. I've never had them before and was dying to try them!! I search and search and Yelp lead me to this Pupuseria . I ordered the bean/cheese, chicken/cheese, carne asada/cheese and barbacoa/cheese (my favorite). Yes, I treated myself ! If you're looking for something different and not trying to break the bank..check them out!

Avoid if you value your health. Staff do not wear mask, and had no care if their patrons had mask. Took no precaution to make me feel safe and was talking in my face with no mask. I had to leave while I waited for my food, because I didn't feel safe After signing my receipt, the hand sanitizer was simply water. I'm writing this now because since visiting their to pick up an order, I have a consistent dry cough and don't feel myself. I hope don't have Covid due to a foolish decision to order from there. But if I do, I hope this serves as a warning for individuals not to go. I had a mask and it made no difference due to their indifference.I've been goin there for years for their $1 tacos, and I'm now regretting it.

OMG no one had on gloves or masks! This place had COVID all over it! I asked about the mask and she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, I immediately left. As I sat in my car with discuss I counted 8 people walked in with no mask. The health department need to shut them down!!

Delicious Central American and tacos restaurant. Mom and pop style. Unmatched in Cary.

This restaurant has a mixed of Mexican and Salvadoran food. We decided to try the pupusas revueltas (cheese, beans and pork meat). They don't use real chicharrón, instead they use pork rinds, and no beans!!. Overall, they were ok, even without the substituted ingredients, but I don't see myself trying them again. Place is small and you do get to see them cooking for your food. Music is a little too loud.

This review is based only on pupusas for takeout. After putting an order in for 5 pupusas, the restaurant informed us the wait would be about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, we still didn't have our takeout order. It was about a 40 minute wait, which would have been fine, but why did they tell us to wait only 10 minutes?Taste wise, the pupusas taste very buttery and crispy. They lack filling (cheese/meat/beans), fall apart and crack very easily when you cut into them. I've had pupusas in the past from different restaurants before, and they didn't fall apart or crack like the ones here did. Previous pupusas I've devoured also had cheese oozing out when I cut them in half. I'm sad to have to tell you this, but the pupusas here were not cheesy either. Nonetheless I'm hoping I came on a bad night because The Triangle needs more pupusas. I'm was thinking I maybe should have tried something else like the tacos since they had signs up verifying their tortillas were fresh and made by hand.

Ricas pupusas de frijol y tacos de chicarrón. Sazón existió lo súper recomiendo y recomiendo que vayan con mucha hambre para que disfruten sus ricos platillos y su sazón tan exquisito! Mi lugar favorito pequeño pero me siento que ando en mi pueblito en Mexico amo este lugar todo esta rico
