I absolutely love this place. I try to eat here at least once every time I visit Denver. The taste is authentic.My only problem and seems to be the issue in all of these types of restaurants in the Denver area, no choice of sugar free drinks, I'm diabetic and should not be drinking the drinks that are offered. But I got the cantaloupe water, and OMG, it tasted like I was actually drinking a Cantaloupe.I had the Huevos Rancheros. Not only was it spot on, but it was so much food that I could finish it.I saw a post that was dated a month ago, I assure you that as of 2/16/22 they are open for business. It's definitely worth the stop!

I love this place, for no particular reason, but it's big, affordable, pleasant to hang out in, has outdoor seating to view Colfax, and the food is all right. Plus there's a salsa/chile serve yourself bar!

Great food and excellent service. New management has made a point to overhaul the experience. The salsa that comes with their chips is top tier. Fresh and flavorful. I've been very impressed and plan to keep going back.

There are very few things in this world more satisfying than Taco Tuesday. After working at a nearby coffee shop, a quick Yelp search determined I was in an area full of hidden gems off Colfax. With it being Tuesday, tacos were on the mind, hence a short walk over to TacoMex 1.$1.50 tacos, y'all. All day, every day. I went with the classics: Asada, Pastor, Carnitas, Pollo, and Chorizo. Served all the way with diced white onion and cilantro. Tacos are small, but the double-wrapped corn tortillas make for a substantial bite with excellent flavors.Amplifying the taco experience was the sauce bar filled with sauces and condiments. The sauces had a tingling burn. Limes, radishes and more were in full bounty.I love finding places like this. A prime example of a business you won't find on social media or the popular local magazines, but serves bomb food for under $10. Try 'em out!

I've been coming here since 2013 and it's been great. It hits the spot and is very affordable! I typically go here during the day and its pretty empty service is always good and food is fresh! Try it out tell me what you think!

The Pozole at this place is amazing a little hidden secret, only authentic Mexican Food.Pozole, a Mexican tradition the best hands down Taco Mex on Colfax; Bring your Mexican friends with you; you don't have Mexican friends, I don't know what you doing with your life. Love , Michael

I ate at TacoMex this evening and ordered 3 pastor tacos, chili cheese fries, and a horchata. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable, but after I got home, I noticed a charge on my receipt. The charge was "Camaron (5) $11.97". I did not order, nor consume, any shrimp on this trip to the restaurant. While I am 150% in favor of supporting our independently owned restaurants, I caution future customers to check their receipts before departing the restaurant.
