I recently came here to celebrate my 62nd birthday with several of my family members, and it was truly an unforgettable evening! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service. They even managed to split our bill into eight separate ones without any issue--such a smooth process! To top it all off, they gave me a thoughtful little gift to take back to New York, which made the night even more special. I can't express how much I appreciated their kindness and attention to detail. When I return to Atlanta, this will definitely be my go-to spot. They helped make my trip one to remember, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Came here on a Friday evening with a friend and was seated quickly. We both got Diet Cokes which were quite flat. We never got refills despite our cups being empty. The service was intermittent and just okay.We shared the three meat plate (ribs, wutang wings, and the brisket) and the burger with fries. The plate sides were mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts. Let me just say that all the food came out lukewarm besides the wings and the fries. Everything felt like it had been sitting out for a while. Now let's get into the food. I wish we had the option to choose what kind of brisket we were getting such as lean/fatty or sliced/chopped like Fox Bros. If they do have such an option, we were not asked about it. We got the chopped brisket which was the driest and hardest piece of meat I've had the displeasure of putting in my mouth in 2024. Even with the copious amount of BBQ sauce I put on the brisket could not revive it. The wutang wings were quite yummy and were cooked well. The wutang sauce is tangy and a bit spicy which was lovely. The brussel sprouts were also quite yummy. The mac and cheese was bland and boring. The ribs did not fall apart per se but more split apart from how dry it was. The burger came with a generous amount of meat but absolutely no flavor. They need to be introduced to some seasoning back in that kitchen. There were lots of dirty tables around us and the staff just seemed kinda disjointed all around. Not the best ambiance. Definitely would steer clear of this place.

It has been a minute since I've been to sweet auburn bbq, I don't know why since it's so good, but it is as good as ever. The jalapeno cornbread basket is still amazing, the fatty brisket is still divine, but I have some new favorites, too. -The smoked wings...these are JUICY, the perfect amount of smokiness, and they do not skimp. These are big healthy wings, about 50/50 flats/drums. My dinner buddy and I split a dozen wings, half wu-tang and half buffalo. The buffalo is awesome, as is the wu tang but I am a sucker for OG buffalo wing flavor. Wings from a bbq joint just are on another tier because of the smokiness. Get these!!!-Char siu ribs--a relatively new addition to the menu. Incredible flavor, so moist, can't sing their praises enough. You literally don't need to add sauce, it's so flavorful on its own.-The green bean side--I would have never thought to get green beans here, it seems really random, but these are some of the best green beans I have ever had in my entire life. I really don't know what they're doing to make them so flavorful. I am not going to let as much time pass next time before a return visit.

I was excited to try this place and thought that the concept was exciting, but the food didn't do much for me. When I first went, I had a takeout order that was missing an item. They offered a refund, but it didn't process, so then they offered two free baos. I took them up on that offer, and the whole family decided to get something. We got two baos, a brisket plate, wings, and some fries, and we weren't that impressed. The baos were dry and should have come with a sauce. They are big and a good size but not the best thing I've ever had. The brisket and the wings were good, but we had some confusion about the wings. We didn't realize they were in half-dozen portions, so we ordered 10; nobody asked us to clarify because they don't serve that size, so we thought we ordered 10 and only got 6. Definitely an error on our part, but I definitely think that they should have said that they don't do that size. The entrees are definitely a little pricier for what you get. It also isn't the best bbq I've had and there are a lot of bbq options in ATL so I doubt I'll go back.

I came here between 7:30-8:00pm with 3 friends after a long volleyball tournament day. There was no indoor seating available since they were accommodating a wedding party, but they were able to seat us outside within 15 minutes. Although we got seated quickly, it took ages to receive our food. We believe this might be to recovering from the wedding party as they left shortly after we were seated. One of my friends that has frequented this restaurant also stated that this was not the norm. Now here is what I ordered:Red wine Sangria: This had a nice balance so it was not overly sweet. I do wish that the pulp was strained as I'm not the biggest fan of it, and there was a lot.Smoked brisket egg rolls: These are a must-get!! The flavors from the smoked brisket was amazing and paired well with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. It also came with some pickled red onions!BBQ plate of smoked brisket with a side of Mac & cheese and Thai chili brussel sprouts: The smoked brisket comes either lean, fatty, or mixed. I ended up choosing the mixed, which was great! The downside was that it was cold, but the flavors still powered through. The BBQ sauce they brought out to the table enhanced it even more. The Mac & cheese was deliciously creamy and had a nice crust at the top. The Thai brussel sprouts was definitely my favorite out of the two sides. They were slightly crispy and that sauce sealed it!I recommend trying out this place if you enjoy some good ole BBQ/comfort food!

I find occasions to come here. Service good and food always wonderful. Never short on flavor or imagination. As they straddle a line between bbq and Asian that always seem to work. Love the pimento cheese wantons before a fat pork sandwich. Wish i was there now.

Had a delicious meal at Sweet Auburn!! The food was sooo good and the flavors were insane. I have been wanting to go there for so long! The wagyu burger was soooo good. It had brisket, wagyu patties, and bacon. I will definitely be going again!! The service was amazing, and the spot itself was very chill. You can come very casually on a Friday night!!

Sweet auburn is a decent bbq spot near ponce! Parking is pretty rough and there is a parking deck somewhere that they validate, but I couldn't find it so I just street parked.Between the bartenders to waiters and waitresses, the staff there was awesome! Everything was quick and everyone was super nice! The table shared cornbread while I had the brisket platter as my entree with Mac n cheese and slaw. The brisket itself was just ok, but the Mac n cheese was the star of the show so I'd definitely come back just to get that!Overall, sweet auburn is fine if you're looking for a bbq spot in the city, but I do think fox bros down the road is a lot better!

For a bbq place there are shockingly few gluten free foods to eat. It's a tiny change to switch from soy sauce to tamari and you have a whole new audience. It was the only place open, and I got to eat a salad. Everyone else said their food was good, so that's cool. I'll rate them three stars for hearsay and remove two for missing a business opportunity.

I have been coming here for years . I actually remember 10 years ago when they put mint in their ice tea (which I miss).Usually, the food and drinks are amazing (even though the menu has too many changes for my liking ).However, the last time I came in was terrible. I came in for a Georgia game because of the beer specials. The bar was crowded and prior bartenders have left, so I asked for a table. The host offered me a small table in the middle of the room, which I liked. Then the same host asked me to move to another table (and I really didn't want to move, but I just complied so that i wouldn't be difficult). Minutes later, that same host put a family of 4 with 3 very small kids right next to me, which was Very irritating. The tables were way too close together and I could barely hear the tv.Now to the food. I ordered tacos, but the brisket on 1 taco was so hard and overcooked it was not edible. The pork on another taco had way too many blobs of fat, as opposed to meat.Instead of staying for the game, ordering alcohol and desert, I left early and watched the game at Manuals Tavern. I will not be back to this restaurant anytime soon.
