Sushi Republic

If you are looking for quality food in a laid back environment, Sushi Republic is the place for you! I have been coming here for a few years now. I try other sushi places now and then but I keep coming back to Sushi Republic!! The main reason of course is the food! From the rolls to the poke bowl to even the hot dishes, Sushi Republic does not disappoint. In terms of service and ambiance, what I like about Sushi Republic is that it does not try to be a fancy upscale place even though it's located in Bal Harbor area. It is an everyday local neighborhood spot with delicious food. It feels like home! The service is always good. Some days slower than others but never too long. The wait staff is very attentive and kind. My favorite dishes are crispy rice, shown here in picture! This is an appetizer that can be shared but it's so good, I never do!! I also like their poke bowl. It has such a variety of ingredients that compliment which ever fish you choose! For hot dishes, the chicken katsu is so good as well as the chicken fried rice. There's really nothing bad here. Remember if you are looking for laid back casual dining with tasty food, this is the place for you!!

The seaweed salad was normal. The spinach was interesting. The miso was meh. I honestly didn't really prefer the crispy bok choy, but if you like crispy leaves you should try it. We liked the veggie roll. They only had two types of vegetarian sushi, kappa & veggie. I wouldn't come back just because I feel like I'd like a little more flair or spice on a night out.

This is a good sushi spot, but please don't order the beef scallion appetizer. First time I saw this one on the menu at a Japanese restaurant so decided to try it and omg I hated it haha, but it's not their fault, overall no frills sushi spot.

Good food and service! I went with my 10 year old son and we both had a very good time.

20 years I've been coming to this place I never had disappointment. We don't need to go to this extremely expensive sushi restaurant in Miami.

We got takeout so i can't speak to vibe and ambiance, but it looked cute in there when picking up food. Sushi was fantastic, apps were great as well, mainly seaweed salad and dumplings. Absolutely delish and great value for the price!

Always good food for a easy diner in a local restaurant. We come here for years with our family and we will keep coming for more.
