Sushi Planet

I'm not sure how Sushi Planet doesn't have a solid 5 star here. It is absolutely the best sushi EVER. My boyfriend and I frequent Sushi Planet both for a casual night out and a weekend delivery! Going into the restaurant is always such a pleasant experience. It's BYOB, so that's a plus. The service is always friendly and attentive. The sushi is so fresh and YUM. I would most certainly recommend Sushi Planet to anyone looking for some yummy sushi :)!

This place was just okay. I'm confused by all of the folks saying it was the best sushi in Philly and worth driving for. When we walked in, there was a damp rice smell and we were the only people in the place. I normally order sushi or sashimi, but something told me to go with rolls, and I think that may have been the right choice because the tuna on one of my rolls seemed a bit off - clearly it had been frozen and was that sort of rosy color that tuna gets when it's been treated with carbon monoxide to prevent oxidation. Husband ordered better, picking shrimp tempura roll and a roll with fried sweet potato and topped with shrimp. My daughter got vegetarian rolls and said they were bland. Service was pleasant however.

First time ordering from Planet! Delivery was fast and the food was great. We got Scallion Pancakes and Gyoza. Crispy and tasty! Chicken and Shrimp entrees with Brown Rice... Yes they have Brown Rice! Came with Broccoli. Veggie Sushi. Salad. Miso soup. Yummy. We will be back.

Got the shrimp tempura, salmon tempura and spider roll combo. Pretty good. Will definitely be trying more soon.

Super small portion! I had the Spicy Tuna Tempura, 6 pieces total and $12.96 plus delivery. The tuna in the roll was chopped and super cooked. I thought it would be raw tuna, like in a chunk and then deep fried. Wouldn't recommend, for the price there is better.

Sushi Planet is overrated the sushi portions are quite small but not good enough for what they are charging. Staff should step up a bit when there is a table in the restaurant or in the least act like they care. The steamed pork gyoza were not bad could have used a litle mire meat though. for an early dinner 4 pm or so it should have been spot on but the service was lacking and the wait staff was too busy either eating or sweeping the floor instead of tending to the table. its an ok sushi place for south street but could be alot better if the staff tried a little harder.

First time checking out Sushi Planet so I checked out the lunch special and had chosen to get the three rolls for $12 which came to $16.20 with taxes my favorite nowadays is Salmon tempura rolls with brown rice so that's what I purchased they were delicious the only reason I didn't give the five stars is because I went to eat my ginger and it had hair on it but other then that it was all good.

Normally the food is great and i have no complaints but they've been randomly closed and not posting it on their website or anything, so if your gonna order even if you call ahead of time its not guaranteed
