LOVED this place!!!! It's been a while since I tried a good sushi restaurant. Although fusion ( I like the more traditional places), this place beat my expectations. I even felt comfortable with trying the raw sushi (bc I'm pregnant). We had a soup that was also absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and the restaurant was very nice. Decorated very modern. I really liked this place and would def come back. Even my son who is 2 loved it!!

The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, each prepared with the finest ingredients and presented beautifully. Whether you're in the mood for classic favorites or something more daring, there's something for everyone, and the desserts are the perfect way to end your meal.

Discover this phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Coral Way in Coral Gables, the decoration is so vibrant displaying a unique decor in every corner. The wall art and the figurines in the wall are fantastic too. The chairs are all different and the ambiance is very welcoming as well as the lighting, the venue has a lot of space and also offers outdoors seating. I loved the menu because it features photos, description and an interactive menu presented in a tablet with many choices including Latin/fusion dishes, signature rolls, sushi for big groups hot/cold teas, desserts and much more...I ordered the Marlenita and Santori signature rolls and they didn't disappoint. The pieces had a generous amounts of salmon, avocado and it was were perfectly prepared and crafted. I really loved each piece and the presentation was on point.I appreciate Esteban exceptional customer service. He was hospitable, attentive, and very professional. I will definitely return to try the signature bowls and eat more edamame!! Ps. The ice cream was soft, the Nutella made every bite delightful

A little pricey but the food is great and delicious. We have fur babies and love that they have a doggie menu. Our fur babies get to enjoy a meal with us. We've been here several times and we've had good customer service each time. Sushi Kong has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a really cute small swing hanging from the ceiling that you can use as a photo op. Parking in the garage is limited but there is plenty of street parking within short walking distance.

Overhyped. Sushi was ok nothing special. Could use more flavor. Menu seemed limited because most of the rolls were all to similar. Was expecting more based off reviews.

We have been to Sushi Kong multiple times before 2020, and raved about it to friends as one of the best sushi places in Miami. Unfortunately, that is NO LONGER THE CASE. We went there tonight for dinner as we were in the area, and were looking forward to having some great sushi. My how things have changed! We went at 7:30 pm on a Friday and were shocked the restaurant was empty - only two tables with customers. The staff was friendly, but upon seating we noticed they handed us an iPad to view the menu (okay, odd - but we thought they must have never updated things from the pandemic). Then we ordered water and the waiter came with a bottle of Dasani water for both me and my date (no notice that we would be charged for this 16oz bottle). After ordering, we noticed the staff was distant and busy with the constant Uber pick-ups. *Note: there was a bunch of small flies that were hovering over the tables, including ours.We ordered the Bacon Boom (Dates & Chorizo) appetizer, and when the plate arrived and my BF took a bite it was FROZEN at the center. It appeared that it was microwaved and obvs never thrown in the fryer to cook properly. We immediately let the nearby waitress know, who apologized and offered another appetizer - we declined. At this point we were tempted to leave but wanted to give the place another chance. Regarding the Condiments: Eel sauce, ginger, etc. are presented in the takeout plastic cups with covers. *Classy* The wasabi was literally a 1/2 teaspoon. Sushi: When our sushi came to the table - we noticed our Hello Sushi Roll (one of the rolls with melted cheese) - we remembered the waiters in the past would melt the cheese at the table, now the cheese was already melted - and basically room temperature. Our 2nd roll, the Crunch - was warm, so it seems like our plates were just seating at the window. We honestly didn't finish our rolls. Between the flies, the rolls being mediocre, and our experience with the appetizer - we were turned off by the food. When we were done, the waitress came over to apologize, but also explain why the appetizer was frozen at the center, which sounded like she was making excuses. She then handed us the bill telling us that 18% gratuity was already included (!!) and had the nerve to say "you can leave additional tip" This use to be an awesome place to go and seat to have sushi, but it has gone downhill. From the looks of the amount of to-go orders the staff was preparing - this has become a takeout place. There doesn't seem to be any care for seating customers or the quality of food being served. End of story: Two sushi rolls + bottle of Dasani water + tip = $60 hard-earned money down the drain. My recommendation: Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else!

Pet Friendly Gem ! I've had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Kong multiple times, and each visit has been consistently delightful. Despite its distance from my house, the fresh sushi keeps drawing me back. The diverse menu offers a fantastic range, from tartare to perfectly executed tempura sushi , to fried rice. The outside dining area provides a pleasant atmosphere, and the fact that they have a dog menu for our furry friends is a delightful touch. The appetizers are all great , and ending the meal with the Cheesecake dessert is an absolute treat. The attentive and friendly service enhances the overall experience, with staff consistently checking in to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. They were very kind to offer us complimentary coffee, which was a nice surprise. I look forward to many more enjoyable visits. It truly deserves a solid 5-star rating.

Found this in my drafts. Me & the girls went out for sushi back when I was a pescatarian & they had a variety of rolls to choose from. It's a lowkey spot, but it was so bomb & the dessert was to die for!
