My family and I ordered a large meal to find hair strands in my food. No apology was given just laughter from the staff. Would not recommend

Hmmm...ok ok...walk-in...has the smell and feel of a NY spot. Check. Actual Chinese people cooking. Check. Guy who took my order not too friendly...not mean. Check. So far so good. I mean the last Chinese spot I found in Atlanta that even slightly reminded me of either the hood spots in Queens (NYC) or the genuine spots in Chinatown was a spot in Roswell in a strip mall (since closed). So I never have highs hopes. All that being said, I ordered my Mongolian Chicken with vegetable fried rice combo. $9.50 not bad at all. Ran to the gas station to fill up and came back. When I got back a lady asked if I had ordered already. When she realized I was the "Mongolian Chicken" order she proceeded to explain the dish a bit and make sure I knew the chicken was sauteed and not fried. She was absolutely welcoming and I must say it didn't feel fake. Felt like an owner who truly appreciated my business. That's always a nice touch.Soooo...none of that matters if the food stinks. The food was very very good. Good flavor to the chicken. Not bland at all. Had a little kick but wouldn't quite call it spicy. The rice was good. Most people don't know fried rice isn't suppose to be dark brown. If it is, it means they don't change their oil as often as they should. Matter of fact most Mott St (Chinatown) spots the rice is more yellow than brown. All that to say, their rice was a light brown. Wasn't overly greasy and complimented the chicken well. Portion could be a lil bigger but I wouldn't call it skimpy. My skinny a** finished it in one sitting. You can find this place in the Publix plaza off of Rockbridge Rd. Quite the drive for me but if I'm craving Chinese food I'll be back.

Food is consistently good! I've been going here since they opened a few years back. The staff are very nice and they show that they appreciate your business. The house mei fun , BBQ spare ribs, egg rolls, and won ton soup are my favorites. I used to go here very frequently but I stopped for a year attempting to lose weight. When I went back recently the owner recognized that it had been a while and we chatted for a few. The price is moderate but the food is fresh and cooked when ordered. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

Pretty bland overall. The spring rolls were meh and the fried rice honestly tasted like spraining rice from a Mexican joint. The best thing I had was the egg drop soup but I won't be returning unfortunately. It's a shame because it's so close!

After I created my first review, I visited this place again for a relative. After making the order and getting my receipt and change, "Vicki," the cashier, went straight to the food. (REMEMBER: always get an itemized receipt and get your change; DO NOT ORDER BY PHONE because your total may be different when you come in person.) (*Count your change and add up your ordered items to be sure you are not cheated.) She did not wash her hands or wear gloves while re-frying the previously cooked fried chicken to reheat it and to add rice to the carry-out plates. There were two males already in the kitchen area, one named "Evan," and neither male had on gloves but "Evan" would socialize with "Vicki." If you were to come in and look past the register behind the counter, you will see this. While waiting for the food, a male customer entered complaining about his previous order and based his current order on how little "Vicki" or "Evan" can mess up his order. He evan spoke louder to make sure "vicki" heard him. No apology or credit was given to him. Sadly, he was right because all but one of the plates of my relative's order was incorrect. Garlic sauce is not braise sauce. ATTENTION ALL african-american or black males: strong chance of you not getting a greeting upon your entering and "Vicki" may not like you, especially if you complain or correct her. Bad patrons by the name of rhi wen zheng, inscribed on a walled frame under pictured food. Go somewhere for fresh and clean food and to receive better treatment.

Last time I submit anything about this place & last time I will ever step foot in their hole-in-the-wall establishment. Hopefully, a different place will be here when I decide to do so, or hopefully, Subway buys it and expands it and blocks them out.The Asian male & female (Vicki) who run this place are both familiar with me, by both physical appearance and voice. Since the 1st review I submitted few years back, they've been in their feelings with a grudge against me & my family, via profiling. Mostly when I would call; our numbers have been put under some call detection made to route us to their voicemail.Trying to be the nice guy here... I tried to call in an order today and patronize their business. I called around lunch time to place an order for pickup. Spoke to "Vicki" no more than a few seconds before being put on hold. I anticipated to be either a) left on the phone or b) the 'Oops! I hung up on you' routine and got b.I had to come to the plaza to do business today (05/25/2023) and got there around lunch time. Roughly 2 in the afternoon...Before I went in, I simultaneously called on both phones to their business and proceeded in, ONLY to hear the phone ringing and seeing them ignore it. When I walked in -- with a mask on, she still recognized me!! Sprung up from behind that dirty counter, said something in Chinese which prompted the guy with the hat to come out, only to tell me "We're not in business right now." I stood there like I didn't hear her only to hear the phone ringing, thinking she's gonna pick it up.Biden made them Protective Citizens & gave them Reparations, so if I acted up, I would've been contributing to the stereotype that Blacks "do" attack Asians or whatever lie they wanna spew. So I left without incident. That will be the last time I ever step foot in, or, call them. I made sure to remove their number from my cellphones before leaving the parking lot. Please stop supporting businesses like this, that invade our communities and mistreat us! I know it'll never happen, but some dreams do come true...Update:Decided to give these snooty-ass people a 2nd chance and patronize their business. Big mistake! Get this: They have an active New Year voicemail if you call and I thought it was strange to be still hearing it 7 days after the 1st, especially in the afternoon around lunch time. After numerous calls, I try a different number and they picked up!! "Vicky" puts me on hold, comes back to the phone, and hangs up. I called back and got the New Year's voicemail.

I have been a customer of this establishment for a long time. After today I will not be eating at this establishment ever again. Today, I ordered a large dinner to find hair strands in our meal. I called and they requested for me to bring in the hair to show the staff. I drove back and showed them the hair strands. Upon seeing the hair strands the staff laughed, did not issue an apology but insisted that I go back and get the food. Please bear in mind I did not want a refund I wanted them to be aware for the next time so they can wear hair nets while preparing customer's food. I am still terrified having to find their staff hair in my food. I have had to dump to the food. I would not recommend this place and suggest if you do not want to discover human follicles, you should not eat here neither.
