Sunright Tea Studio - Houston

It has been my favorite place to study! It usually is not too busy and there are some plugs on the wall. The lighting is bright and they play KPOP music inside usually. It can be a bit cold though so be sure to bring a jacket if you plan on being here a while. There are self serve kiosks and you can order with someone. They also have a point system you can join that's free. I loovvee the mango milk tea. It is super creamy and I get the sugar level adjusted to make sure it is not too sweet.

The boba shop is located in a small plaza off of a main plaza (H-Mart). It is accessible either through the H-Mart plaza or through Bellaire directly. I will caveat my review here with the fact that I had multiple people tell me that this brand was good, and that's the sort of expectation I had coming here.This location has a couple of tables inside which can seat approximately 2-4 people each. There's also ~4 raised barstools for a raised table by the windows immediately to the right of the entrance. I'd say max capacity of the shop is probably 30 people. Any more than that would likely feel stifling.The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints on that front. I went ahead and got the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. Something to note, this brand uses condense milk as their milk base for milk teas (just something to keep in mind for those that are lactose-intolerant). They offer almond and oat milk as substitutes (with a surcharge). I had the Jasmine milk tea and oat milk with low ice and low sweetness (I don't remember exactly what percentages I got). The drink came out a bit mid. I couldn't get much of the tea flavor; honestly, it tasted a bit watered-down. Overall, somewhat disappointing as I was expecting more. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing? I may come back to try one of their fruit-based drinks, but definitely won't be back to have anything "milk-tea" based.

Ambiance is simple and modern yet fits the "sun" vibe. Friendly service and you can order drinks at the self-order kiosk. Drink though is very... normal? Nothing bad but nothing extraordinary about it. Matcha isn't strong in flavor and with boba shops at every other business in this plaza and almost every plaza in Chinatown and Bellaire Blvd, I don't see myself coming back unless there's crazy lines elsewhere.

I got the Matcha Oolong Milk Tea (seen on the far right), which was delicious as a matcha lover. You could really taste the matcha and it was not watered down like at other places I've been to. There is a fair amount of seating available, good Wi-Fi, and overall a great study place for my friends and I. The only downside was it did get really cold even with my jacket so don't forget to bring one if you get cold easily!

Sunright tea studios is one of Bellaire's many boba tea options. I went here multiple times, mainly because my cousins wanted stickers and mini posters that they were giving away with certain drinks during an event. We tried the Oreo creme brûlée (very creamy, very sweet, didn't have much Oreos aside from the thin layer they spread around the cup edges), chocolate matcha (did not taste like matcha at all, was straight chocolate milk), blueberry drink (don't remember exact name, drink was okay but the tea jelly it came with was good, inconsistently made as you can see in pics the amount of blueberry varied in each drink), watermelon drink (watery, I think the watermelon wasn't sweet), fresh fruit tea (pretty refreshing), and strawberry milk (standard). The interior has one wall lined with tables, maybe less than 10. It's located in a plaza that has a shared parking lot in front that's free but busy. Service was fine. There's two electronic screens we placed our orders on, but I think you can also order at the counter.

Shop is really clean, decent availability of seatings. Service is friendly.Drinks are always on point.

Walking in the store, it is super bright and yellow!Lots of different drink options. It is very quick and the drinks are tasty. About $6 for each one. I got the matcha brûlée latte, it was pretty good. I got 50% and I still thought it was too sweet. i also FORGOT to shake my drink beforehand which was a mistake!

Heard great things about this boba tea shop so finally decided to give it a try. This Houston location was clean and efficient with a kiosk for ordering. We opted for a taro slush which came with real taro and a grapefruit jasmine tea from their top 5 drinks. Loved the taro slush! The grapefruit tea with 25% was the perfect amount of sweetness. Honestly the perfect little afternoon pick me up! Would recommend checking this spot out if you're in the neighborhood!

It's always a tradition that after a big meal I always have to get some boba. I participated in the yelp week for Sunright a couple months back at the Katy location & I thoroughly enjoyed it. This location opened a few weeks back & I'm happy to see another solid boba spot by my house. Was it the best? Nah, but it was good enough for me to come back the next day. On my return I brought Tiffany J. She's not really a boba connoisseur but when you're with me, you gotta get boba. She ordered the grapefruit Jasmine tea & she said it was good. I am not a fan of grapefruit because it has a bitter aftertaste but I need to try this drink next time. So far I was able to try 4 of their drinks. My favorite was their watermelon cooler, it was refreshing, sweetness was on point & tea flavor was present. There was nothing more I could've asked for & so satisfying that I ordered it the next day. My least favorite was their Sunright Milk tea; it just doesn't taste as good as the fruit version of it. Honestly it just tasted like milk & tea with no substance to it. The mango jasmine tea was text book good, perfect amount of tea flavor. The decor is bright & well decorated with instagram worthy type of layout. The service was decent but minimal, we stood in line but it seems like the cashier didn't want to take our order so we went to the kiosk. The kiosk is simple & user friendly but it's annoying that the system will ask for us to tip when the cashier didn't even take our order. Did I end up tipping? Of course, 2-3 dollars isn't going to hurt me but when you don't provide any service beside giving us our drinks, I shouldn't have to tip you. Overall, a solid boba spot in the Chinatown area, I DO RECOMMEND.

While others fell by the wayside, Sunright remains perfect.It's one of the best teas I've ever tasted. The two that we love the most are, as I said, Ceylon Milk Tea with Honey Boba, or Sunright Fruit Tea made with Black Tea and Honey Boba. But everything they serve is excellent, products are simply second to none.If you only get 3 milk teas in Houston I'd say Tea Top, Partea (an independent shop), and this one. But of the three, this is our fave now, and also has the best tapioca by miles and the best fruit tea by miles of the three. The other amazing fruit tea is at Mr Wish, but this one is wonderful too.I guess if there's one person I'd say has tried more boba and has more refined taste in boba than anyone, it's probably me, so when I tell you that Sunright Fruit Tea is the best there is, you should take it seriously. They also have locations in Cali which I haven't tried, Katy TX (same owner) which is great, and one in the St Louis suburbs which is good too.The problem is, most people have terrible taste in food and drinks, or at best, their tastes are different to mine, and different to yours, so recs are difficult. But I like fresh tasting stuff, not pre-made, that's delicious, with a strong tea flavour, a fine and excellent tea flavour at that. For my fruit teas I like delicious tropical citrusy fresh perfection that doesn't taste at all fake. For all of these categories, there is no Boba as good as Sunright.Come and see for yourself.
