Really really disappointed - worst BBQ I've ever had. No flavor, no seasoning . The BBQ sauce is good though and spicy. But if you can't eat the meat without the sauce the it's an epic fail because I like eating meat no sauce

Took my dad here when he came to visit me in Houston for his first time because you can't NOT try Texas BBQ! The night was getting pretty late though so I'm happy that this bbq spot stayed open later than most. Everything was pretty direct when you walked in--we were greeted by friendly faces and were asked what meats and sides we wanted right away. We went for the pork belly, sausage, and brisket duh! The sides we chose were the potato's, Mac and cheese, and Spanish rice. The inside gave a cabin, warm feeling and there were TVs with the game on. The food was Smokey and hefty! The potato side was a nice comfort food touch too. I'm happy that my dad and sister enjoyed :)

Best BBQ i've had in a whilllllllleeeeeee. I would say by far one of the best in south side. Service was fast and food was on point! The spicy bbq sauce is the best ever. The ribs are perfectly made. The cabbage is just the right amount of sweet. And they mac & cheese is besssssst! $5 happy hour margaritas and just one gets you right! The restaurant is well organized, clean & doesn't feel crowded.Total for Two people was $52. 2 meats, 2 sides for each.

First time coming and I'm glad I got to finally try this cool looking Bar-B-Q spot (always wondered what this old school saloon looking restaurant had in store).A little sad that there was no access to the balcony area and actually it was surprisingly small and limited in seating (I think maybe like 6-7 tables total?).FOOD:Husband got the Texas loaded spud which literally had all the protein you'd want and was as big as Texas. Pretty sure it was like 1500 calories just by looking at it but it was pretty tasty!I loooooove pickles and they had the ones that are perfect with Bar-B-Q so if you're a pickle connoisseur like I, you know how important these make or break a meal.I got the one meat (brisket of course) and two sides (Mac and cheese and veggie pinto beans). Veggie pinto beans pretty much means it didn't have any meat in it which was fine. I didn't realize I difference in the beans until my diabetic husband called out how sweet they were once he took a bite. Then my brother in law said the same thing sooo if you don't like sweet beans then, I'd skip on this.MAC AND CHEESE WAS AMAZING! Peppery, cheesyyyyy, and creamy. Just as good as Pappas.Service was super fast since there was no line. They also spoke Spanish which was nice for the in-laws.Cost for 9 people was under $200 (about $166) so not bad!

I ordered the Heart Attack potatoes and noticed that there was a lot of raw bacon in it. Th bacon should have been crispy. This was very disappointing.

I had stockyard tonight for the first time and it was boooomb! I got two, two meat, 2 side plates. One was sweet wet ribs and brisket with heart attack potatoes and Mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and flavorful, I asked for a more lean part of the brisket and that was no problem. Both sides were good but I'd switch out the potatoes for something else next time, mac and cheese was great. The second plate was smoked turkey and brisket with the HA potatoes and fried okra. The okra was friend to order and super crispy! The service was awesome as well, the employees were friendly and accommodating. Zero complaints, I will definitely be back!

Smells really good but bbq is dry. Would not use this to represent Texas bbq. Similar to Rudy's. Just okay, subpar at best.

Miguel and his are were very friendly and have extensive experience in what it takes to make a fine Texas Smokehouse. The tender sliced brisket with the right amount of smoke, then topping off with a touch of their spicy BBQ sauce and picked red onions hit the spot! I had the twice-baked Heart Attach Potato casserole side that has enough flavor to compliment their meats or stand alone as a premeal snack. But the unexpected kicker was their signature smoked pork belly! So rich in flavor with the outer layer perfectly caramelized. It was mouthwateringly juicy, tender, and just practically melted in mouth. The Stockyard Bar-BQ has definitely moved into my top 5 smokehouse restaurants in the Houston Metro area. Joel C. Katy, TX

We had a delivery from here. The pork ribs were pretty good to me. The moist end brisket was 3 stars, tender but lacked a lot of flavor, slight bark. We enjoyed a mild and a spicy sausage. We enjoyed the fried okra, the cabbage and the cucumber salad were subpar, the cuke salad was meh. We'll give them another try in person.

This place is legit. If you're choosing between Stockyard and anyone else, Stockyard every time. Beef ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, okra, cucumber and tomato salad, banana pudding, even the barbecue sauce... 10/10Thanks, Miguel and Nick!
