Stella's Carry Out

This place is absolutely bangin. Stella ( I assume) runs the place by herself and her food is delicious. Limey and bright chicken shawarma plate left me full and very satisfied. The falafel wrap is also very good. I wish it was a little cheaper but I get that inflation is hitting small businesses too. I tipped of course which is why my plate was $15. Price before tax was $12.49

I was on Yelp finding a place that serves Mediterrean nearby and the search lead me to this establishment. Across the street from St. Benedict Church and school, parking along the streets and no parking lot. My only complaint was why advertise the place is open at 10am when it isnt. I ended up doing another errand and went back there at a later time that day.I read reviews that there was a discount business special; apparently those were old reviews because it was around $12 and not around $6 or $7. Regardless, food portion left me satisfied with the right amount of seasonings and meat was tender. There were other food specials there, but not enough for me to come back again.Cook was also cashier and she was friendly. I was the only customer there at the time and had a great conversation.

My s/o would give it five stars, because in her opinion, this is some if the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food she's had in the North Side.Everything is made by Stella's hand, her own recipes, and I have to admit that it's quite flavorful and worth the wait (which, if your getting more than just burgers or a hot dogs, is going to be a 15 minute wait like a sit-down restaurant.)Honestly, pretty much everything on the menu I've ordered has been a delight to eat, and I'm glad to have a Middle Eastern option where I can order from the counter and not have to do the drawn out sit down, table-side service experience. Recommended.

Absolutely delicious, a bit pricey but it's completely worth it for your portion. I got the chicken shawarma, and I could barely finish it haha. Thanks for the wonderful meal!!!

Great always good for some Mediterranean food. Gyro is great. Always a good place to stop in and grab a bite

I've had several things off the menu, all were very good. The lady is the sweetest and makes good food for the go. Love it! Glad it's in the neighborhood for a quick bite!

Service can take some time as this is a family place, but the quality of the Mediterranean food is terrific. The burgers aren't bad either. Always seating and quiet.

Is this place fancy pants? No. Did I wait a bit? Yes. Did I get a cheap, filling, freshly made meal? Yes indeed.Though my falafel urge was calling me, I ended up with a chicken shish tawook plate. Boyfriend got a falafel sandwich. We needed something quick, cheap, and tasty before hitting up a show at Martyr's where I spent way too much money on drinks. Damn me. Anyway... my chicken plate was good, freshly grilled, and more than enough to eat, with chicken, rice, salad, pita, and tahini. Boyfriend really likes their falafel.We waited a bit, even though it wasn't busy b/c they made the food to order, but luckily we had Pat Sajak's right wing, plastic faced self to entertain us. Gotta love Wheel.

I haven't been here in quite a while so I'm not sure if the quality of the food has changed. When I went I ordered a veggie burger and my friend got the hotdogs. I absolutely loved my veggie burger, it was not a Boca or Morningstar party they just threw in the microwave and served. Nope, it was homemade and tasted amazing. Too bad I'm no longer in the area, but if I get a carving for a veggie burger, I'll definitely head here.

Terrific and friend service and delicious food made to order. You won't regret getting the cheesy fries!
