Nice attempt at Chicago style deep dish, really fresh ingredients. The crust could use a little more flavor. New York style pizza seems to be their staple and looked delicious though I didn't try it. Service was fast and order was correct.

Overall, this is an upgrade from Papa John's. We were visiting relatives in Katy, and we wanted to enjoy some pizza from Grimaldi's. We love Grimaldi's in Pensacola. Unfortunately, they were stoking the ovens and weren't serving pizza when we stopped by. Therefore, we tried the nearest pizzeria, which was Star. Service was excellent. The young man and young woman who assisted us were great; friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. We were told that it would be 25 minutes, but it didn't take that long for our medium pepperoni pizza. The pizza was hot and tasted fresh. It was definitely in the Papa John's ballpark, but better. The mozzarella, tomato sauce and crust were tasty. The chocolate cake, however, was just ok. The interior was quaint and clean. A nice, no frills restaurant with great service and good food. It checks most, if not all, of the boxes.

We went on a Sunday so it wasn't busy at all. Personally I wasn't a fan of their deep dish (but also it was my 1st time trying deep dish pizza). However I did like the actual toppings on the pizza. Their ranch is pretty good too. It's like a buttery ranch type of consistency.

Not sure this would be my first place to head back to for a dine-in experience. The dining room is fairly lackluster, and despite menu photos they are not currently offering a lunchtime buffet, just lunch specials. But Star Pizza is always fantastic, right?!?! I had been excited to visit what had always been "an inside the loop experience" out in the 'burbs.I was the only customer for a 12:30 PM dine-in weekday lunch. So it was very quiet. The service was friendly. But for some reason my server opted for awkward whispering?!?!I selected the $12 Salad & Personal-size Pizza special. Customers can choose between white or wheat crust, and either NY or Chicago style, plus up to 3-toppings.The portions were reasonable. and I felt the pizza was the perfect size for lunch. Next time I'll probably just order takeout, because that handcrafted pizza is really tasty! Dining with friends or family in the evening? There is a very good selection of wine and craft beers available too.

Really good pizza! Came here for heart shaped pizza on valentines day. It was the perfect family date experience. The location wasn't busy, but they really took their time and made some amazing pies. I've been to the location on Washington many many times and haven't had an experience as good as this one. Crazy because that other location is always packed...Will definitely recommend the Katy location. Great pizza, quiet ambiance, amazing service.

My husband is on a mission to find his favorite deep dish pizza. One of our Chicago friends who now resides in Houston recommended this place as one of his favorites. Going off of his recommendation, we tried the Hank. It has Italian sausage, mushrooms, and olives. My first impression - wow, this is a beautiful pizza! We called it in ahead of time to take it to-go. It usually takes 20 -25 minutes to prepare a deep dish. They have gluten free, New York style, and Chicago style deep dish. I'm excited to try a gluten free pie. They also have a variety of desserts at the counter. They occasionally have salad buffets but you'll have to ask for the dates, which varies.
