I was really craving pizza. So I looked up places with had dairy-free cheese. I was excited to learn there were places that had dairy-free cheese. I had also been wanting the deep dish pizza so I decided to go with Star pizza. I tried to call and place and order. The first time I go put on hold then they came back and apparently could not hear me and hung-up. I called a second time and they acted like they still could not hear me. I called from a different number and finally I was heard. I placed my order... Ben's Large Deep Dish with dairy-free cheese. I told about 30mins for pickup. I arrived a minute or two past 30mins. But my order was not ready. I had to wait another 10mins. The pizza was very tasty and I was excited to be about to eat a pizza with cheese and not have to pick it apart. The bottom center crust was a little soggy. I think next time I will ask for light sauce.By the way, parking on a Friday night can be annoying... you might have to troll the parking lot.

Very hip, cute vibe! Love the atmosphere. Feels local. Perfect for late night pizza and beer. We had 6in chicago personal pizza (Starburst and chicken alfredo) and roasted garlic as a side. This was enough to make 2 people full. Ordering was easy online, and we picked it up. Food was delicious, and I liked how they mixed roasted garlic with tomatoes/cheese to put on the french bread. However, if you are expecting flaky and buttery original chicago style, this isn't your place. The dough felt more like soft and fluffy, which I personally liked, but I understand it's not for all.

Super yummy food. I had the Starburst Chicago deep dish pizza, meat lasagna, and the pasta with homemade meatballs. The deep dish pizza was so good. It was packed with ingredients and so flavorful. The meat lasagna had so much meat, cheese, and sauce in the piece. It was unbelievably delicious. The lasagna came with salad, and garlic bread. Both sides were yummy too. The pasta with homemade meatball was delicious. The meatball was huge, and burst with flavors. Two thumbs up! The restaurant has cool vibes. It has nice outdoor seating area, and interior looks chill. It is a good restaurant for families. Service staff were friendly and attentive. Thumbs up!

For starters what a disappointment they were today. We already had a similar issue two weeks ago but didn't make a deal o it of it however today, we waited for food that never came for 45 minutes. Not until we decided to ask what was the issue did we get an explanation. Then they tell us that our food was just now in the oven because they had an "issue". Everyone else was getting food but us. We were coming every two weeks this will not the the case anymore. Ridiculous service.

My favorite part of Star Pizza is how customizable everything is. Do you want NY style or Chicago deep dish? Do you want regular crust, wheat crust, or gluten-free crust? Large pie or personal size? Time to pile on the toppings! Overall, the pizza was pretty good. I had the Joe's (spinach and garlic) and the toppings were yummy. The whole wheat crust was tasty as well. I ordered NY style but I would have preferred the crust be thinner. I also would have liked the personal size to be a tad larger (was still pretty hungry afterward). It's not my favorite pizza in Houston (not going to compare it to pizza cities) however I really appreciate their menu (and their vibe). I intend to return and try a few of their other offerings (Cowbell and Chicken Alfredo sound intriguing) and maybe even a deep dish pie, if I'm in the right mood.
