We went for Sunday brunch around 11am. We actually called that same morning for a reservation on a very busy weekend and we were surprisingly able to get a table for 8. If you didn't know, this restaurant is attached to a really stylish boutique hotel. It doesn't have its own bathroom. Instead, you have to go to the second floor of the hotel for the restroom which is accessible via elevator or stairs. The host at Square 1682 was extremely friendly as was our waiter. Our party maybe waited 10 mins to sit. I ordered the Wings and Waffles with a side of eggs and Turkey bacon. Those wings?? So good. Crispy and moist with a nice little zing and spice but not overwhelming. You only get 4 wings, but there should be more! And those waffles. Amazing!! They have little sugar crystals inside so each bite is crispy, but soft, warm, and deliciously Sweet. I didn't need to douse it with syrup. I as able to just dip eat bite and have enough flavor and sweetness. Im not from the area but when I return for a visit, ill definitely be coming back for brunch.

Square 1682 is the restaurant inside the Kimpton Palomar Philadelphia hotel. New American food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. There's also a bar. The hotel's breakfast (included when booking) is here. They do honor the breakfast vouchers and the daily food & beverage credit. If you're staying at the hotel, this restaurant is a pretty good option: it's a convenient and decent experience that won't cost much. If you're not staying at this hotel, it's still an OK restaurant, though I wouldn't go out of my way.

Walking aimlessly around Philly is amazing. The people watching is superb. Worked up an appetite laughing so I dipped into this spot! Omg it's restaurant week! Score! Open kitchen with all the smells. It was a solid find. Salad greens with shrimp was fresh and amazing! Loved the eggplant parmesan too! Diamond took great care of me! The combination of quality cuisine, inviting atmosphere, and perhaps a touch of serendipity made stumbling upon it a great dining experience.

For philly brunches this place is great. You won't have to wait and they have a very typical menu. They don't have an impressive view right now due to all the construction. Our food was good and the drinks came fast. The booths are beyond uncomfortable to sit in and very old. You sink probably to chest height while seated there. The food was good like I said before but nothing to write home about but still costs center city/ rittenhouse prices... This place left a little to be desired but I don't regret brunch.

Good food, convenient location to the hotel, and good wait staff with prompt service. The Rittenhouse Omlet I had the other day was tasty, and the potato leek soup special was tasty. Dark, but one open room with a bar and visible kitchen. Nice spot.

I was in Philadelphia on business and stayed atThe Palomar Kimpton. Friends were coming in to town to meet me for dinner and we decided to keep it simple and eat at the hotel's restaurant-- and we are so glad we did! Service was excellent, the food and drinks recommended were so delicious! I had the wedge salad with salmon added and it was amazing. Highly recommended.

Shoutout to waiter-in-training, Kaleif and his trainer Angela. They were very attentive and informative about menu items. Given their insights on menu favorites, it made making our decision easier. Our appetizers was the honey cornbread which was delicious. The Square 1682 burger was well prepared with truffle parm fries . The highlight was the garlic aioli, bacon jam and Brie. The pan seared salmon was cooked medium and lightly seasoned which complimented the peas and fingerling potatoes.

The place is clean and I like the ambiance. The bathroom is on the 2nd floor but it was clean and had nice body size mirrors which is great for selfies.I ordered a gingerale and I'm assuming it came from a juice gun/machine because it was kind of flat. There's a happy hour menu that ends at 7. From the happy hour menu, I ordered the duck wings and calamari. Both were tasty. There was a special for the surf and turf for $30 which was my entree. The lobster was a little mushy. The steak was tasty. They didn't have steak sauce but it did come with a side sauce that was a good substitute. I also substituted my fries for whipped potatoes which was good.I also ordered a side of the general tso broccoli which was breaded and tossed in the general tso sauce. It did exceed my expectation and was breaded perfectly.I ordered the peach cobbler for dessert. It was basically peach filling with oatmeal toasted on top. I was highly disappointed that it was called a "cobbler". The vanilla ice cream that came with it was good. The service was excellent! Waitress checked on us often and was quick to refill our drinks

Kinda funny I guess. The prices on the liquor list aren't the prices you pay if you'd enjoy a liquor in a glass with no ice. When you order a liquor "neat," you're charged more than the dollar amount on the cocktail and liquor list.Enjoyed the friendly service this evening,; however, found this pricing a bit unusual. Maybe add an asterisk or footnote or little blurb on the liquor list so customers are informed they'll pay more than the price that's listed and it's not a "computer glitch."

Some stand-outs for us included: - the crab dip appetizer - the cauliflower curry (just perfectly cooked!) We weren't blown away by the steak au poive (the jus was strangely sweet) and the brookie was too much overwhelmingly sweet brownie with very little cookie. Service at the bar was great, but table service was not friendly. We would return for the food though!
