Spring Creek Barbeque

A friend recommended Spring Creek. Even though it's a chain which can reduce the quality of the food you get, she still suggested I try it. I brought my kids with me.This Spring Creek had a cabin type theme inside. Lots of wood walls and furniture. You immediately start in the line to order after entering. I ordered the St. Louis ribs, cracked black pepper sausage link and half lean, half marbled brisket, potato salad and Mac cheese. It came with a dinner roll. I also ordered a side of fries for my son. I got all that for $24. Not bad.The quality of this food was just not tasty at all, unfortunately. The ribs were fatty and seemed like just an overall bad cut. I had to snatch the meat from the bone with my teeth. Hard pass. The cracked pepper sausage link was really no better. It tasted like it was made with bottom of the barrel ingredients. Forgettable taste. I have definitely had better. The lean brisket was so dry that I had to suck down my drink just to get it out of my throat. I literally thought I was going to choke. Potato salad tasted overly tangy and the potatoes tasted like they could have been cooked a little longer. Mac n Cheese was horrible, the Kraft in the box brand is better. There was a lady walking around giving out fresh, hot bread. That was probably the only thing I liked here. It was super soft, moist and tasty.Overall, the restaurant was clean, the staff was helpful, parking was easy and ordering was super fast (especially for a Saturday). It's just a huge letdown to know that food that tastes like this ended up being part of a chain of restaurants. Maybe the others are different, but the food here was just simply put, not good.Go here at your own risk. If you are looking for recommendations on good bbq spots in Houston, I'd recommend Killen's, The Pit Room, or Pinkerton's.

Tom train his staff to believe that slice and chopped is the same. No sir. And even a team member tried to correct the error and Tom the manager told her it's the same. No no. Glad we check. They did get the lean texture correct. And Tom corrected it and threw the other two incorrect sandwiches in the trash. I shared the thoughts on throwing food out, and he proceeded to do so anyway.

Two stars because the bread is the most amazing bread you'll ever have. But that's it. The Turkey breast was okay but had no taste unless you dunked it in bbq sauce. The marbled brisket was full of fat, the Mac and cheese was worse than Kraft and the corn on the cob was over cooked and terrible. Not pictured was their vanilla ice cream, which was good but nothing I would make myself come back to this spot for.

I was craving bbq and found this spot since I was in the area. Very nice hospitality when I walked in and was offered a complimentary tea while I waited for my order to be prepared.Unfortunately, I was not a fan of my meal. I ordered the two meat, two sides (brisket and baby back ribs with corn and Mac and cheese) .I requested a marble blend brisket but didn't receive that. The brisket was VERY dry and had no fat. No tenderness, juiciness, flavor, nada the ribs were much better( wish I would've just gotten two of those instead)The corn had no flavor, like it was just boiled in plain water and the Mac and cheese was also pretty lackluster. I saw this place had pretty good reviews so I was excited to try the food but unfortunately I wasn't impressed at all but I wish them the best

A big fan of finding new barbecue places and this place gets the job done. The portions are respectable, but the sides could do with a smidge more salt and the meat in itself can be extremely good on one bite and a bit on the blander side the next. Nevertheless, the staff is courteous and you get fresh bread from someone walking around!The three meat plate (brisket, sausage, and ribs) are filling and the two sides (corn and Mac n cheese) is what I ordered and I'd probably get it again.I wish they still had the free ice cream, but this will do for now!TLDR: a bit on the pricier side, meat is good but sometimes a bit bland, and you get fresh bread if you wait long enough!Cheers!

First time here but had to try TX BBQ and it was highly recommended.On my meal plan I couldn't try most of the meats there so I settled on chicken. I know. Boring, right? Except it wasn't!My smoked 1/4 chicken was so flavorful and juicy. Quite possibly the best smoked chicken I've EVER had. This was a very happy surprise.The sides could use some help. The green beans were okay but they look sorry and soggy. The cole slaw was cool.They give you a roll with your food but... hold out for the fresh, hot rolls they walk around with and bring to your table. I mean- Damn!! My taste buds felt cozy and oh so happy. Definitely recommend. Hope to be able to try the brisket & ribs next time.WAIT!!!! I cannot forget the cobbler Ms the Blue Bell ice cream- HEAVEN ON A PLATE

What happened?? This place pre COVID was AWESOME.. now forget it!!' $19 plate... and TWO lousy sides!They use to give you seconds on sides.. well I drive 20 miles to come here.. but since covid not worth the drive. Sorry!!

Sat Oct 22, 2023 service date, 1 item to go. Few to no people in line for sit down service. Lots, lots of employees standing around talking and the restaurant service area was being neglected. Ordered 1 loaded bake potato to go, with tax was $15.10. Person taking the to go area was lacking skills to work that area. Received the "free" drink while I waited, and the mix blend for Dr. Pepper and Coke was flat, horrible.This use to be a fairly decent clean place to eat BBQ. The poor service and quality of food was not due to a lack of staff, because there were plenty of workers there. Finally my order would be brought to the to go table, appears they only make one trip from the food prep area with all to go orders and phone delivery order.Asked the person working if I could take mine, she said she needed to check it, I opened it and saw it was correct and I told her that it was and that I was taking it. SHE THEN ASKED me to pay for it AGAIN!Wake up manager(s)!

The food was on the cold ish side and the portion wouldn't have filled up a child. Waited 5 plus minutes to check out due to cashier busy chatting with to go employees. Three girls at the rolls counter and the 45 minutes I was there I was never offered one and I even asked the busboy about them. Terrible customer service and zero food quality. Not worth the $50 I spent. Will not be going back

Such a disappointment. Food tasted like a microwave. The kids working are nice but if you are looking for real bbq go elsewhere. This is the Taco Bell of bbq.
