Spitfire - Mediterranean Street Food

Wow, if you're looking for the authentic Turkish street food like gyros , this place is a gem. The owner is Turkish and he is very friendly, welcoming and kind man. The food is very fresh and the halal meat is very tasty ,tender and quality meat. We have tried their gyro and wrap and it was so delicious, and the portions are huge . Great value !We have also tried their home made desserts and honestly it was the best baklava that we have ever had in our lives. ( not too sweet at all, as they usually are ) . The staff is very nice and inviting. We have truly felt welcomed and appreciated. The service is just above and beyond . The place has an indoor seating and outdoor seating too. The owner is remodeling the place and he will turn it into very modern place serving the best Mediterranean Gyro in Miami Beach.We highly recommend this restaurant , it's a MUST VISIT when you are in Miami Beach!!!

I walked a few miles in 100 degree weather to get to this place. When I arrived, a young lady greeted me with a dessert called baklava. It was surprisingly good. Really sweet treat. I recommend trying it if you have a sweet tooth. The food was good. I took a doggy bag to eat the rest as a snack. #imgreedy

This was my second time eating Spitfire but first time going to the restaurant and I loved the food again! Their food is amazing and they have pretty quick service too. We ordered a bowl and chicken wrap. So far my favorite item is the authentic tasting Turkish meatball bowl with all the veggies and tzatziki sauce! It's the right mixture of their delicious and juicy meat with a tasty sauce. They have a nice casual seating area with cute decor. I'd highly recommend eating Spitfire (whether sit down or takeout)!

Went in for a gyro at lunch and came out satisfied. Neat hole-in-the-wall. Service was really good too. Will have lunch there more often.

We got 2 chicken dinner gyro with fries. The chicken was a bit bland and the tzatziki sauce tasted like a mayo base to me. Unfortunately, I was not a big fan of this meal. The price was good for 15.99 it came with the gyro, a drink and fries. The fries were fresh. The service was good but the indoor seating was really hot as it felt like the ac was not on.

Stumbled across this place while looking for another Mediterranean spot on Miami Beach, which was close but we noticed this place is open so we decided to give it a try. Saw a few people inside so realize maybe the place is pretty good. I ordered the kafta and chicken platter, which came with rice house salad which I asked to substitute for tabouli salad. The kafta was a bit dry. The chicken was pretty decent. I wasn't happy with the tabouli salad because it was missing some lemon! The place looks promising, but I don't think I'll be coming back here. When we got there, there was really nobody there so we thought our food would come out quick, but it actually took a long time to see the other tables looking anxious, wanting to know where their plate is as well

I was in the area and debating between two spots for lunch. Glad I had the opportunity to try this place! There are a few tables out front and a small barstool area inside. The service was so warm and friendly and the food was fresh, filling and delicious.I tried -The beef rocket wrap combo - Lavash bread comes rolled with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, red cabbage and your choice of sauce. This was very good. They were generous with the protein portion. Everything was fresh and tasty. It definitely hit the spot. Fries were good as well! 4.5/5 (17.99)If you're in the area and want a quick, light, fresh and healthy spot you can't go wrong with spitfire. I will definitely be going back to explore more of their menu next time I'm in South Beach.

I was pleasantly surprised coming here. The woman working was very sweet and so kind towards my toddler. The beef/lamb gyro was very good, the chicken was alright, and the spicy sauce I added to my meal was the perfect amount of heat that I wanted. Overall really enjoyed my dinner here

Passed by Spitfire while in a cab and it looked like a place worth trying. We were right. Super friendly owner, partner and staff. Their pita is made with homemade bread. We ordered the shepherd's salad. All ingredients were cut fresh and it was delicious. Kids devoured the spiced fries. Baklava on the counter looked appetizing and not too sweet but way too full to try. Definitely next time!
