Came here on a Saturday after been waiting to try this place since they opened. Sadly I will not return and I'm only giving it two stars for the parking and the huge building. Upon entering, no one directed us to where to sit, so we go out on the patio to sit and waited for service but was told we needed to be seated inside in order to get service. So we go inside, find a high top and sit. Finally, a server greets us, but no, not to take our order but to tell us that the people that were sitting here are returning, which they never did btw.She finds us a table at a huge booth (it was just us two) and walks off. Didn't take our order or nothing. So we're back to waiting... finally my boyfriend gets up to go to the bar to order two drinks which had a 20% gratuity. Meanwhile, while he's gone, a server finally comes to take my order. I opted for the seafood egg rolls, the description stated it was 4 egg rolls; however, once my meal came, I was so disappointed. It looked like two egg rolls cut in half for about $13-$15.I couldn't have been more anxious to finish my drink and leave. I came, and tried this establishment out and will pass on it in the future. Music was great (although there was no dj), the place is huge and can be such a good place and vibe if they can get their service together. There were so many servers standing in huddles not assisting tables. Oh, and parking was good.

It's sad that at least 3-4 reviews alone come after their FAT TUESDAY EVENT featuring Lil Nate! No lights doors open much later than stated so line had formed to get in and once in was utter chaos ! For the prime seats in front inside.. priority was giving to ONLY THOSE THAT MADE A prior RESERVATIONS! That wasn't stated any where on the promotion flyer for that event. They Ran out of a special advertised item within 1.5 hours of opening and I know that many people were not ordering oysters. Doors opened at about 510pm (typically at 4) ppl didn't start receiving their paid for crawfish until about nearly two hours later. Their idea of premium was Tito's patron Hennessy and one other drink I can't recall that was it no other brands or drinks Applied. Parking was free entry was free and plentiful if you arrived early . Now my food the lamb chops mac n cheese and collard greens I will give 10/10!! Absolutely scrumptious yall I won't even lie or cap! Absolutely worth going for in my eyes. Service they tried but it was way too many ppl for the workers and they should take note for next event! Yes the restroom lights were not on, but came back up two hours later , the computers to pay shut down at one point so they begin closing ppl tabs out at every charge which they on top was getting 20% on each time they closed it out for gratuity hmmm interesting right? . I'd go back but I'll definitely will lower my standards so I'm not disappointed.

Went here on a Sunday around 4pm. The service was great, but it did take a while for our bottle to come out. They also didn't have our first choice for bottle service but everyone was really nice. We preferred outdoor seating because the ambiance was definitely better out on the patio. It was a beautiful day and the patio was definitely lit, so if you make a reservation...make sure to get the patio. The inside was cool, very much laid back though, like a traditional restaurant. For food, I had the wings with Southside sauce, chef's kiss. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy! The server recommended this pineapple freeze drink and it was soooo good and beautiful. I had to get a pic of it, I was too hungry to get a pic of my food. Lol overall, I would definitely return. @MissMo2323

Stopped here with a small group to try the Houston Restaurant Weeks brunch menu. We were one of the first to check out their menu. The entrance has gotten a bit confusing since they switched over from the Redneck Country Club. The main door was locked, but we were able to get in from the patio, only to be told that the patio was closed. One of the employees redirected us through to the hostess stand, where we were promptly seated. The renovations to the building are interesting, completely changing some areas while preserving most of the wood aesthetic on the walls and patio. For the first course, I opted for the crawfish dip while my wife ordered the Buttermilk "Biscuits" (there was one large biscuit) which was made from scratch in house. The crawfish dip was solid, but the biscuit was dry and didn't have nearly enough honey butter. No one in our group bothered with the fruit plate. For the second course, I opted for the seafood egg rolls while my wife opted for the boudin balls. Both came served with a delicious chipotle ranch sauce that managed to work well with both items. A friend ordered the southwest salad, which came out without any dressing. We were a bit confused by that but they brought out additional chipotle ranch for him.For the third course, I went with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast while my wife opted for the Fried Salmon and Grits. This was probably the most disappointing course of the lot. The salmon lacked flavor, and the collard greens were just missing something. The French Toast had some kind of lemon glaze on it, which wasn't disclosed on the menu. My wife has a citrus allergy so she wasn't able to share it. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. Also, it was around this time that we realized that one of the items we'd ordered were missing, which should have come out with the second course. It came out much later, but that was okay.Service was a bit inconsistent-- we got a lot of attention at first, then it was pretty much nothing for 20+ minutes, and then each course of our meal started coming out back to back, not giving us enough time to finish one before starting the other. The food portions were good for the price, and across three courses I can say that we left very stuffed. They're clearly still getting the hang of things, but with so many other brunch options in the area at much lower price points, they're going to have to step up their game to justify people coming back.

Visited Southside Sporting Club last night for the first time for a friend's birthday. It was easy to find. There is plenty of parking (and it was free). The outside is unassuming but you walk in and there are hostesses waiting to seat you. This place is HUGE! The pictures I've shared probably won't do it justice. It is huge! It is an indoor/outdoor-patio concept. My friend was located in the patio area. They had hookahs in this area. The outdoor space is a bit bigger than the indoor side. There are many tables and booths. There is even a stage. The best way to describe this place is The Rustic meets Kamp/Lost and Found. They also have games! Some of the games take Apple Pay! There was a popular DJ playing hip-hop and R&B.I visited on a Friday and they had extended happy hour until 10pm. The wings were also 50 cents. Yes, on a Friday! I ordered the wings (hot lemon pepper) and some fries. They came out timely in my perspective. It's a new establishment so give some grace as they figure out their flow. Again, the place is HUGE and in the patio area there were two bartenders, my opinion is they were working fast for the amount of people ordering drinks. Dez was our server and she was cool. I'd definitely return. I had a great time and experience.

I think what kills this place is the logistics and waitress training. I'll explain that in full detail. First, logistics. Like getting inside was confusing. We were trying to figure it out with another group, all of us just like huh...how do you get in. I just went for the bold method and began to pull every door open until I found something like an entrance. We get inside and the head chef is like whoa...this is the back entry, but let me give you a tour. Chef is super nice and attentive. My waitress was friendly, but when we would need extra time, she'd disappear forever. Like, not out of neglect, more like she thought...okay give them 15+ minutes to think about it. Another thing to note, our waitress was hands down the prettiest girl in the room. Hands down no questions. However, you could tell she was super uncomfortable with her waitress outfit. It was super short shorts, low cut cleaveage shirt for no good reason other than to have her stuff hang out, so maybe possibly drunk dudes in the evening will give her a larger tip. Her tugging at it uncomfortably made me sad for her. Like, give her a freaking kimono, she doesn't like the outfit! She was legit pretty enough, she could pull in tons of tips, even with a robe on. My only other real knock on her, aside from leaving a long time in the beginning, is she wouldn't check on us for refills. Food wise, I think everything was delicious, but it wasn't what I imagined. I ordered the salmon and grits. I didn't picture it to be fried though. My husband ordered cinamon toast crunch french toast stuff. It was smaller than we thought. However, with the Houston Restuarants menu, it was a lot of food when you consider the other courses. The chef kept coming out and asking about the food. I wish I told him, I think the salmon and grits would have tasted better if it wasn't fried, but I also didn't want to hurt his feelings. Everything else on the menu was super tasty and delicious. I really liked how excited the chef was and how he wanted feedback. And honestly, I loved that and didn't want to crush his spirit. Like, maybe I'm the only chick that thinks the salmon and grits doesn't need to be fried, you know? I need more food from this place.I definitely wouldn't come here later in the evening, but if they take care of the waitress training, logistical issues, and maybe reconsider if the waitresses really need tiny outfits - maybe they have shy girls you know an alternate modest waitress outfit then this place would be so good. I think it's a good brunch spot. I don't think I'd come here to party, because people lately are disrespectful and I don't think I'd keep my mouth shut if I saw some gross guy being inappropriate with the waitress. And I'd end up on Grizzy's Hood News for fighting someone, and no one has time for that. Try it out. Use the Houston Restaurant Weeks Menu when it becomes available and visit at brunch.Oh and Chef if you're reading this, the only other thing I'd suggest is having non pork alternatives. We had a couple eating with us that couldn't eat pork, so they ordered french fries. I never thought about their dietary restrictions, because I'm use to other brunch places having more variety, I suppose.Good job chef.
