Southern Maid Donuts

There is a good amount of Southern Maid Donuts in Houston but this location is the best one, it's definitely a gem for sure. The first time I came here I placed a big order because I wanted to do something for our local police department by my job. It was my way to say thank you for all they've done for the community & just keeping the area that I work at safe. The owner of this location is a hard worker & he made my order in a timely manner & I was able to deliver it to the station before the officers started their shift.Everything is hot, fresh and yummy. The Kolache's are huge, fluffy, soft, airy & even the sausage on the inside was better in quality than Shipleys & Kolache factory. The sausage/bacon egg & cheese croissant was fantastic. Their glazed donuts are soft & sweet, maybe a bit too sweet for me so I can only eat 1-2 of them. Overall, great experience each time I come here. What I like about this location is consistently, it's definitely never a disappointing one. From the outside & inside it doesn't look pleasing but their fresh products makes up for it. Will I come back? You bet I will.

Food...more like breakfast goodies. Always on point. Service is great. I don't know the Asian man's name but he's awesome. The shop is a cozy little spot. Plenty of donuts and breakfast sandwiches plus a cooler with drinks. If you're in the area. Stop on by! Kolaches are on point!

This store doesn't look like much on the outside but its donuts are really good! I really like it because it isn't too sweet. I usually just get a regular glazed donut and it was really good. It had a really good texture!The worker was also super nice and talked to me while I was waiting!

Got 4 Donuts and a jumbo sausage cheese kolache for 7 bucks and she threw in a dozen donut holes for my birthday. Excellent price and customer service

Small little shop but definitely great! I got an egg and cheese croissant and let me tell you, it was delicious. The croissant was fluffy, flaky and a lot bigger than expected. The amount of cheese and egg in there was perfect. I also had some donut holes which were soft and glazed just right. Not too much, not too little. I must note, I got my food at noon. Considering that it was so late in the day for breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised to bite into cloud-like donut holes. The man who welcomed me in and took my order was possibly the best part of my experience. He didn't say much, but was extremely kind and respectful. He genuinely seemed to appreciate my business. This place is a bit far out of my area, but I will make sure to stop by anytime I am around again.

Mann they have the biggest Kolaches I have ever seen. The weenie or sausage is just as big too its not just all bread. They are always so warm and soft. Get in early for the first pick. They can be a little snappy sometime but I think its just because its early. ;)

Service was great and the donuts were even better. Very glad we decided to try this spot. The best donut holes I've ever had so much better than shipleys donut holes. The guy taking our order was very sweet.

Stopped here for donuts and a kolache. It was amazing. Jalapeño cheese and sausage. They were freshly made. And some were still warm.It's clean and the people behind the counter were very nice.

It's in a ghetto looking shopping center attached to a gas station. The place just looked really dirty and like they have not done any repairs since the 1970's the kolaches were ok , the bread was nice but I got two jalapeño sausage in cheese n it just felt like I was eating a bread and a hot dog. No flavor not enough cheese and not enough jalapeño tbh. I got one blueberry cake donut and it wasn't good. Not coming back. I asked for some cream cheese on the side because the kolaches had no flavor maybe I can dip it in there but no they told me they don't have any lol even tho they had cream cheese donuts on display lol so the service gets a 4/10 the food 4/10 and the place environment ambiance gets a 1/10

Best kolaches anywhere!! Croissant breakfast sandwiches amazing and donuts are oh so delicious!! You definitely get your money's worth with anything you order from this Southern Maid Donuts!! They are awesome!!
