South Philly Ice

With Milk Jawn closed on the evening I was in the neighborhood, I ventured off to curb my sweet treat craving at the window business, South Philly Ice. What an AMAZING addition to the neighborhood this is. I opted for soft serve with cookie dough bits and was shocked by the sheer amount of ice cream they put on this cone? Like yes? Hello?Not many options for soft serve nearby and the staff here is super friendly and fast. I can imagine this will grow in popularity with time, and I like that you can order online ahead of time for pickup. They have a really large menu with water ice, ice cream, soft serve, sundaes, milkshakes, "avalanches" which are the equivalent of a DQ blizzard, and more. Highly recommend a stop by!

All is well in the world when you eat delicious Italian Ice on a hot, Summer Day. I eat far too much Italian Ice during summer months.Italian Ice aka "Water Ice" in Philadelphia at South Philly Ice - Cherry and Strawberry Lemonade Flavors - gave no fully fledged, intense flavors, whispers of cherry and strawberry lemonade, and overly sweet.

Damn great cup of soft serve! Summer in a cup!Skip desert when you go to dinner and walk up here for the best summer vibe, then chill on a stoop (or telephone pole).Pup cups too!

Was delicious, had the water ice and it was outstanding. Had great service and i would highly recommend!

Such a great spot! Customer service is excellent. Water ice is really yummy and they have milkshakes, cookie sandwiches, and soft serve too. Online times are not always correct. They are usually open afternoons into the night.

A great addition to the neighborhood! Big portions and one of the few places you can get soft serve nearby. We love the avalanches - their version of a blizzard. The waffle cone topping is so good!

Forget the nearby Philly steaks. 1 block south on 9th is the best soft serve ever. Good selection of other treats to kill the heat of summer. Prompt service at the walk up window and no hassle if you gotta decide on which item you want.
