The atmosphere is just what I imagined this place always feeling like and had hoped for in the old Atlantic Lounge. There is a certain allure and clandestine feel that makes it the right place before or after dinner at the many restaurants in the Mordecai area. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that the price value isn't here though. I didn't expect such a drastic change in per-cocktail prices that feel more in line with New York when new ownership took over. The Manhattan I had was well overpriced for what I could have made at home and there was not much originality in the build that you might find in classic cocktails at Kingfishers (Durham) or even at Crawford's own Brodeto. If every cocktail was just $2.50 cheaper I'd feel a little bit better about visiting this spot more often.

Sous Terre is Scott Crawford's new cocktail bar located in the space previously occupied by the Atlantic Lounge. There are a few ways that you can visit, you can dine in at Crawford and Sons or Jolie, purchase a key for $50 or use your key if you were a previous key holder. When you enter it will take a bit for your eyes to adjust because it is so dark. The classic cocktail menu is on average $18 a drink but ranges from $14 to $20. I tried the Cobra's Fang and my friend had the Paloma. Both were good but overpriced. We had one then went over to William & Company. I'd like to see more creative cocktails for that price if I were to visit again.

I really loved the drinks and the staff here. As well as the ambiance! You have to have purchased a key to get in which means you have to know someone in the first place but that's part of the fun! The drinks are very spendy if you want a curated cocktail but don't worry they're are super inexpensive beers if you don't want something that fancy. My man stuck with a $3 yingling lmao. Great place great staff.

This bar is darker than a cave on a cloudt night. Drinks are meh and at times seemed like mocktails. Bartenders are rude and inconsiderate. The key that you have is meaningless. Patrons from the restaurant upstairs get unrestricted access. Skip it.
