Food was good and view was nice. I added some of my croutons from my salad to my soup and it was better than the crackers they give you. Thought it would be a nice touch if they gave you a side of croutons for the soup.Service was not much. Just order at counter, sit, and they bring your food.

Don't waste your money here. Al thought the cashier is very friendly and the view is nice the food is horrible My bf got a burger very poor quality I ordered a chicken bowl with pineapple ...ugh total $50 worst spend ever Pineapple never seen a tree, chicken has never seen the sun, flavorless expensive. Poor poor quality and excessive price it is not worth $20 bowl

My dad had some business downtown so we decided to stop for food at pike market. I wanted breakfast and he wanted lunch, this place serves both all day so that was definitely a perk. I ordered the crab omelette & he ordered the chicken quesadilla. Both very delicious! We were served by andy (forgive the spelling if i'm wrong) and she was just incredible. So kind and welcoming. Super accommodating as well. The view was an added bonus. Will definitely come back.

This is where we started our tour of Pikes Market. There is always a line and the seating is tight,so order food then find a table-"Trust the Process" The Chowder is Excellent! And the Shrimp Cocktails are humongous! But The Irish Coffee is where it's at! This place is rich with history, been here forever and the Port views are stunning!

A hassle free and tasty breakfast with a lovely view of Elliott Bay. We were looking for a quick fuel up before a day of exploration, starting at Pike Place. We all had pretty basic breakfast items: loco moco, breakfast sandwiches , eggs, bacon and toast. Self-serve coffee. All was no-frills and just what we needed. Friendly staff and helpful to boot.

Mmm...such great food at awesome prices. Water views at the back of Pike's Place Market make this a truly hidden gem. They have an excellent kids menu that is not listed, but our server offered it when I asked; both my kids loved and finished their butter pasta and Mac n cheese. I had this amazing blackened salmon, omg, it was so good!! And the service- impeccable. Thank-you Aundie for taking care of us. Such a great experience in Seattle! Great food at great prices, and the kids loved it

Oh boy, where do I even start with this place? One star feels generous after the food fiasco I encountered! I mean, who messes up bacon? The potatoes were like something from a horror movie, and my husband's salmon hash? Let's just say, if the salmon was playing hide and seek, it won. And can we talk about the bread? It was like a relic from ancient times - smelled and tasted like it too! The coffee was no better, like they brewed it with water from a shoe. The only thing that didn't disappoint was the view, which was just okay. But seriously, don't even think about stepping into this joint unless you want to burn a hole in your wallet. And as for the service, well, if you're a fan of waiting around forever, this is your spot! Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this culinary catastrophe. ‍

I really don't recommend this place unless you want bland and overpriced food. The clam chowder was okay but the seafood bowl is a whole another story. It was straight up white rice with a few pieces of what seems like boiled salmon and prawns, and two eggs on top. There was no effort put into that dish. It looked like something a 10 year old could make in the kitchen. All this for almost $60. Absolutely insane.

Every time I am in Seattle, I always stop here for lunch. First of all, it has amazing views of Puget Sound. I enjoy eating lunch here. The classic burger is perfect. The meaty patty is juicy with the slices of tomatoes, lettuce and red onions. The wedge fries are equally delicious. I've tried other items on the menu such as the clam chowder in a bread bowl. The bread is huge and fun to eat. The chowder is delicious and filling, especially on rainy days. Total comfort food. The slice of cake with fresh blueberries was excellent. The frosting was not too sweet at all. The ambience is clean and typical of a cafe except for the amazing views. The service is friendly and accommodating. We want to thank Aundrea for her hospitality and letting us know Madonna was in town! We quickly bought tickets and will be seeing her tonight. Thank you Aundrea! My friend is definitely coming back with her husband this time.

A quick trip to Pikes and I needed some chowder!! My first restaurant I attempted had a long wait as it was happy hour, so I walked a bit further down the hall. I stumbled upon the Sound View Cafe and I'm glad I did. It's not fancy or overly special, but a cozy, and comfortable cafe with a gorgeous view and friendly staff. It's reminiscent of an old childhood haunt as it's low key and old school. I got the clam chowder which was delicious and saw other orders that looked good too. And it was so affordable!! It felt festive for the holiday on a rainy afternoon- and I was in heaven. The staff was so wonderful and guided me to find the light rail station to get back to the airport. It completed my journey and I was HAPPY! I have to say some of the comments on here are so snobby and it's a bummer. If you look for the simple pleasures and smile and be nice to others, It comes right back to you in full return. My experience here. I will be back here!!
