Probably the best catfish I've ever had. Clean, fresh taste and the breading was crisp and not overdone. Their collard greens were very good - better than Mary Mac's.

My family and I were sampling eateries in krog street market on a Saturday afternoon after walking the beltline and this was one of the places we ordered from. I'm pretty disappointed in our food. It just wasn't good and for the name of the restaurant to be called "soul" it was the worst "soul food" I'd ever had in my life. I ordered the turkey wings and the mac&cheese and yams as my sides. The turkey wings were under seasoned (although my 7 year old nephew loved it and he doesn't eat anything so we were all surprised about that!). The mac&cheese was HORRIBLE. The yams weren't really sweet and were undercooked. The cornbread was the best thing on the plate and it was actually good. My mom ordered the whiting with collard greens and mac&cheese for her sides. The whiting was good and crispy. She said the greens were ok. We ordered a variety of the juices that I wasn't really feeling either. The sweet tea isn't sweet and neither are the juices (watermelon and peach). I really wanted to like this place but it was a no for me. But if people aren't accustomed to real soul food then I guess they could enjoy it.

The fried green tomatoes wipers crunchy with cornmeal crusted and topped with pimento cheese. Delicious! All fried green tomatoes should be flash fried with a cornmeal batter, so that the tomato remains firm and the breading adheres.

I happened to be in Krog st market on a weekday and it finally was not crowded here. I have a chance to try it! I'd heard pretty good things about the food. I was the only customer and was easily able to place my order. I ordered wings and fried green tomatoes. The wings were OK. They weren't bad, but I wouldn't seek them out necessarily. They were cooked well, but the flavor was not a stand out. The tomatoes were a bit disappointing. The ratio of tomatoes to toppings was off to me. It was an overwhelming amount of remoulade and pimento cheese spread. So much so that it started to make the crisp fried tomato soggy. So if you didn't immediately scarf them all down, half of them will be soggy and lose some of that great crispy texture before you get a chance to eat them. Next time I'll know to ask for the tomatoes plain and get the toppings on the side.

I like this addition to Krog street market. With that being said, I would return to really test the menu out, as other stuff looks good. This is in the Krog street market, but they have a small space for service at the countertop. You order your food and can take it to sit in the rest of the food hall or if there's space dine in front. The young lady taking orders seemed nice. I ordered the sampler. That consisted of deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. The eggs were my favorite! Other stuff was okay. I also got the lemon pepper wings. I don't know if they know that their menu reads differently on the site versus the location. The lemon pepper sauce was not it. This ATL and I get that you would to try something different, but that's not it. Like I said so would try them out one more time and I'll update this review then.

How great to find fried chicken and fish at Krog aside a lot of vegan options in the other vendor spaces. Delicious lemon pepper sauce too and pineapple soda. Refreshing! Service is smiling and there are 4/5 stools if you feel like more of a dine in. Great place to get a hearty lunch!

The service was quick and the food was delicious! We got the catfish sandwich and appetizer platter to go. The stall was located inside Krog street food hall. Overall, the ambiance was casual. They provide around 4 stool seats that you can eat at, but the food court also provides larger benches open to anyone eating at the food hall. I especially enjoyed the catfish sandwich and the fried green tomatoes!

Loved this place. Let me start by stating that it is located inside Krog St. Market. So it's not the easiest to find. However, definitely worth the trip. I love finding the best local food when traveling and this restaurant had some unique items but still had some traditional soul food. Chef was awesome as waitress was very friendly. We decided to sit at the bar stools at the restaurant vs grabbing a table in the Krog St dining area. Didn't regret anything we ordered. If you're in the area, stop on by and make sure to grab some cornbread and carrot cake.

One of the best Fried Chicken Sandwiches I've ever had. It's called CBB Chicken Sandwich, and it's totally worth trying. The lady that takes orders was super patient explaining all the menu options to me. Highly recommend stopping by if you are hangry and want something absolutely delicious.

Wowwwwww wow wow. Honestly some of the best food I had in ATL. I got trapped here after having samples of the mac & cheese and collard greens (I don't even like collard greens LOL). Food was so good so I ordered the fried catfish with Mac n cheese + hushpuppies. The ladies working the counter were soooo sweet, we were chatting it up and one even came to check on me after I ate. Seriously, what a sweetheart. I don't need to tell you how good the food was, but I will. The catfish was super flaky and crispy, the Mac and cheese was saucy and felt like it was melting in my mouth. The hush puppies have a little spice to them that tasted great. Definitely a must-try!
