Nine years ago, my (now) wife and I were staying in an airbnb in the neighborhood and had a great idea: it was the night before our wedding and we finally turned our phones off and walked to dinner up the road at Sotto Sotto for just the two of us. We were seated at a quiet table on the patio where we went over our vows one more time, escaped from the welcome but constant pre wedding attention of family and friends and had the best dinner date ever.We come back every year, the night before our wedding anniversary. We've had specials, huge meals, lighter affairs and lots of old favorites. The constant theme here is consistent, attentive excellent service and great food. The charcuterie boards have never disappointed us, with different selections every time. The bread is always fresh, warm and perfect for dipping in the balsamic and olive oil. Last night I had the scallop appetizer which is worth the price. Perfectly prepared. The bufala mozzarellas have always been great, especially at the end of summer with the tomato. My wife loves to make risotto but comes here for "brushing up." Either the mushroom or balsamic selections are very rich and seasoned very well. I suggest sharing an order between two people because these are big portions. Get the Michelangelo ravioli and be transported to the simplicity of a perfect sage butter blended with savory fillings. I could order two of these and still want more. All of the pastas are very good, especially the priest stranglers, tagliatelle and pappardelle, but I always come back to the old master. I've had both of the veal chops and the ribeye as well, and those are always prepared perfectly. But by that time I'm also usually stuffed silly and you MUST get a dessert here. They make gelato in house and my wife is a junky for any of them. Order a frangelico on the side and pour it over for a boozy, creamy treat. The Belgian chocolate soup is always a winner but I cannot pass up the Mascarpone. There are some restaurants in your life that take on special significance because of the memories you have there. We've been to Sotto Sotto on other occasions but I always look forward to our yearly date night. It's become a very special place for us and the memories only get deeper and fonder with every year.

I came here for my birthday dinner. Out of the lists of Italian restaurants, I landed on Sotto Sotto because of one specific dish. The Costoletta arlla Parmagiana. Yes, sign me up!Getting here wasn't too bad, but the parking was kind of confusing. If you're looking to park for yourself, there's a parking lot that you can park by yourself and the restaurant is right across the street. The street is off of Elizabeth St NE. So, I would definitely recommend to just park in that parking lot as it's easier than driving around and finding street parking. The restaurant doesn't validate parking, so keep that in mind. You will pay on the way out. The other option is parking valet, which is personal preference. The amount of walking in comparison is really not a huge distance.Walking in, it's a very cozy type of experience and atmosphere. The kitchen is small, they have a patio seating and also inside. There was a lot of staff when I visited. We ordered the charcuterie for starters. It was alright, I don't think it was worth the price as I think you could make a better charcuterie by buying meats and cheeses from Costco. It was just 3 tiny pieces of cheese, some mushrooms (which were the most flavorful), and a few meats. Also, the bread was limited as well, I didn't ask for more because I felt as if it would have been extra charge. For my main, as I said before, I got the Costoletta arlla Parmagiana. It's a breaded pan fried veal and then on top a tomato sauce along with some mozzarella. Yeah, if you can picture it, then you can taste it. It was good. It had flavor every bite, and it was filling. I would definitely recommend this dish if you're not looking to eat pasta. For dessert, we ordered their version of Tiramisu, the Dolce Al Mascarpone. It was alright. I think it was a bit small, and it was mostly all cream. Again, it doesn't beat a good tiramisu, but it wasn't bad. Overall, Sotto Sotto wasn't a bad experience. I enjoyed my main dish, however I think they fell flat for me when it came to the appetizer and the dessert. I did also get to try the clams that my wife was, and that was alright. I didn't have any of her pasta though so I can't say anything to that.

The charcuterie board we got was not really worth it, especially the cheese portions and we got like 3 slices of bread to share. For my main, I had the linguine alle vongole (clams). I was a little bit disappointed in the dish, the pasta was a bit chewy and dry but the clams were good and not sandy. I got to try the veal parmigiana which was definitely the better dish of the night. We shared the dolce al mascarpone. We assumed that it would be similar to a tiramisu. However, the spices amaretti cookies layers were minimal (vs the typical ladyfingers in a tiramisu). It was a definitely a lighter dessert option.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta! I came back on a Saturday for my anniversary and they made it a special night. All of the food was cooked to perfection and the drinks were strong and tasty. I didn't expect them to even acknowledge that we were there for our anniversary and then they brought out a dessert for us! The staff is great and really made this a memorable experience.

Having frequented Fritti, Sotto Sotto's sister restaurant, countless times over the years, I finally tried Sotto Sotto for a friend's birthday on a slow Sunday night. The ambiance inside was great, with moody lighting and decor that would make for a romantic date night. They also have an outdoor patio filled with plants, which I'm excited to try as the weather cools down. Our server was friendly, providing recommendations and answering all our questions. To start our meal, we were given fresh bread and olive oil. For my entree, I ordered the Paccheri alla Calabrese, a pasta dish with a tomato Calabrian chili sauce and burrata, and it was really great. To top everything off, since we were celebrating a birthday, they brought us a complimentary cranberry cake.Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Sotto Sotto!

Nice Italian restaurant in the Inman Park area right off the Beltline. Tried this restaurant with a friend who has been coming here for over ten years. So I went with his recommendations and we ordered Vongole and Lasagnette alla Bolognese with a well made cocktail Aviation. The large plate of lasagnette was delicious. Service was pretty fair even though it wasn't too packed around 7 pm on a Thursday night.

I've heard great things about the French toast here, and they were telling the truth! Location and Parking Located in Inman Park, there is a free parking deck about a block away. Venue and Atmosphere True to it's name ("hush hush" in Italian) the door blends in with the facade and is framed by ivy crawling the walls. We booked a table on the patio, which I highly recommend. The patio is completely covered and the atmosphere is serene. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages The charcuterie board is delicious and surprisingly filling. The lasagnette was absolutely wonderful and flavorful: pasta cooked perfectly, good balance of meat and sauce, well seasoned. My partner had the branzino and reported it was seasoned and cooked well. I had a dessert which was layers of cookies and mousse (don't recall the name of it" but it was a light finish to a hearty meal. I had a rose wine, which was an excellent choice from their expansive, but not too overwhelming wine list. Verdict I'll be back!

A VERY good place to enjoy a terrific meal. I have been twice so far and both times were good to very good. We had a great server (Cannot remember her name, a lovely young lady from Maryland). I had the deconstructed lasagna and it was delicious. A bottle of wine and some great apps. We really enjoyed it very much.

super delicious italian food! definitely make a reservation before coming as they book up quickly for good reason. we sat outside on the courtyard which had fans to cool you down. we started with the tagliere di salumi (salami board) with foccacia and the bietole e rucola (beet & arugula salad). i loved the variety on the salami board and the foccacia was delicious. for mains we got the lasagnette alla bolognese and the branzino. we both lovedd our entrees. the pasta is made in house for the lasagnette. even though we were stuffed we managed to devour the zuppa di cioccolato (chocolate soup) for dessert with some pistachio gelato. the pistachio gelato wasnt our fav but the chocolate soup was very creative and hit the spot. our waiter richie was great we loved him.

A solid spot for Italian in Atlanta! I ordered the Tortelloni ai Carciofi which was good. Not too heavy of a pasta dish. Definitely tasty but not completely blown away. I adore Novo Cucina (the owner's other restaurant), and I wanted to love Sotto Sotto too as it is the closer location. However, I still think Novo is better. Other dishes I have tried at Sotto Sotto include: the Risotto Agli Asparagi, Fettuccine Alfredo, Tagliatelle alle Tre P (when it was at Novo), and the Strozzapreti alla Salsiccia (priest stranglers). I like the Tre P, and the Alfredo was also good. Nothing blew me away though quite like Novo's Tagliatelle ai Funghi.Service was good. Our waiter was knowledgable about the items and helped us decide what to order. Parking is a bit hard to find. We valeted but wanted to walk around the shops nearby before dinner. So, we got there a bit early, but though Sotto Sotto validates parking, it didn't cover the full duration we were there for.
