Our family is filled with adventurous eaters who love adventure, so we were excited to try Korean BBQ. Songsan is a small restaurant and with a relaxed vibe. The decor is fun, with a bit of a pig theme (check out the giant pig-shaped metal BBQ out front)! We decided to BYO since we weren't sure if we would like Korean Wine, which worked out perfectly for us. Our waitress was so great - we had a lot of questions about how things worked, how much food to order, and more, and she patiently answered each of them and walked us through everything. We ordered one of the combos and a bunch of apps. The Korean Wings were a definite fan favorite (part of our combo) and we really liked the dumplings and the tacos we got (starters). The meats were fun to grill - the pork belly was ok, the steak was good, and the chicken was great. All in all we had a really fun time combined with a really good meal.

I came here with a large group of friends, and the staff were generous and helpful in accommodating us. We all split between three tables. Unfortunately my table's grill was broken, so we were unable to use the grill for bbq.So I got a Bulgogi bowl with a side of rice instead. My beef tasted pretty good, but the bowl was pretty small for the price. Even with the rice I didn't feel like I ate enough. The sides that came with were pretty good.I also got to try the plum soju, which was really good!

From the outside of the restaurant you have no clue what's inside. Walking in I was very surprised by the modern casual decor of European- style wood panel and ceiling beams. The space is small but not crammed with tables. Each table had a modern radiant cooktop with touch screen controls- very cool! Bonus - beers on tap! And Kirin and Soporro but also had Troegs ( excellent PA microbrewery) . Dining for 2 my friend and I decided to go for entrees vs BBQ ( next time with a bigger group) I ordered Yukgaejang - my favorite Korean dish. The stew can out bubbling with steam in an iron pot .The broth was absolutely delicious. Shredded beef was tender, glass noodles and vegetable root and mushrooms all came together with egg. I had this dish else where and this the best tasting and quality. My friend got the spicy chicken stir fry - I took a bite and I loved it. The chicken was cooked perfectly - not grisly and great heat. The pickled and boiled side dishes were so yummy and fresh.Upper Darby and Blue Bell areas have dome great Korean food but I love the modern ambience, cleanliness , great service, the quality of the ingredients and of course the proximity to my house. I will be coming back and will be added to my weekend dinner place rotation. Yummy

Terrible service by waitresses who'd rather do something else. Rice, a staple, was hard and overcooked. Took 8 minutes after they "pointed" to a seat for us to go to and left us alone with no menus nor water. Thinly sliced belly was like thick style bacon. Definitely do not waste your money for lame service and subpar Asian food.

This place has pretty good food. My friend and I visited for a late lunch. The food is fresh and came out fairly quick. The highlight I'll say would be the wings. They pack a lot of flavor with that signature crunch. They're not freakishly BIG like Bonchon in Philadelphia. The tteokbokki and cold noodles were solid too. Come by during the night and I can definitely see this place pop. Bring your friends and enjoy.

Awesome spot!! Lots of seating and super friendly service. In a lovely area too. So many tasty menu options. All the bonchon is delicious and I would definitely go back for kimbap, bulgogi, bibimbap, etc. Love this place!

Came to the door 8:19. Door was maybe locked but sign said open. Guy came to door and told me they aren't seating. Asked when you're open to and he said "9:00" Whole thing was rather rude and off putting. If your last seating is 8 please post it and change your sign to closed and if you won't do that at least be nice about it. Meh.

When it comes to Korean BBQ, the meat is usually the star of the show, and this restaurant didn't disappoint. The meat was fresh, and the flavors were spot on. You will have to cook the meat yourself. The cooking services were not provided, which is a bit different from all the Korean BBQ restaurant I been. The accompanying side dishes were also delicious, with the standout being the kimchi, which was spicy and tangy. However, the seafood pancake didn't quite live up to my expectations. While it was certainly edible, it didn't have the same level of flavor and texture as the other dishes I tried. Additionally, the price point was a bit high for what you got.On the other hand, the kimchi fried rice was a real winner. It had just the right amount of spice and flavor, and the rice was perfectly cooked. This dish was definitely a highlight of the meal.Overall, despite the higher price point, I enjoyed my meal at the Korean BBQ restaurant. I would recommend it for the meat dishes and the kimchi fried rice, but suggest skipping the seafood pancake.

I was a little disappointed with the limited banchan, only 4. Wish the combos were meat combos they were more mixed items. I was very excited to have an egg soufflé since it had been a while. Sadly the soufflé was over cooked and dry. The waiter recommended the galbi and it did not disappoint, best part of the meal. I asked for brisket dipping sauce, I'm used to it in LA, and the waiter brought me gochujang. Overall it was not bad KBBQ but will be trying other places to see if they are better.
