The service was amazing, they opened the door for us--very responsive. Asked us for feedback and it really shows their passion for service. The food was very flavorful, and of high quality as well as the juice and coffee. Comfy vibes, rolling chairs*** which are so nice and a switch up, scratched that itch. Good lighting and atmosphere. Clean environment and even the bathrooms are hygienic and well kept. Food:Potato pancake side: Flaky on the outside, super creamy on inside, good portion Dutch oven pancake: fluffy, fresh and warm, like a croissant with a buttery smooth inside. The caramelized bananas were sweet and topped it off Lamb wrap: crispy and juicy , explodes with flavor Lamb omelette: perfectly cooked eggs and came out with steaming, juicy lamb Coconut queen: a little light. Would've preferred more texture on the outside but nonetheless a tasty dessert. Def gonna eat here again and try the honey almond cake & dinner

I've been looking forward to trying this new place, in the location where Vero's Italian restaurant used to be. The restaurant has very different services for brunch and dinner--this review covers their dinner offering. We started off with drinks. It doesn't look like they are serving alcohol yet but they have some nice non-alcoholic drinks. Turkish coffee is advertised but they say it's still a couple of weeks away. We had the strawberry pineapple fresh juice mix, and the hibiscus compote. The strawberry pineapple mix was refreshing, not too sweet. The hibiscus compote will be familiar to those who like jamaica agua fresca, but this is an elevated version. The orange slice, mint leaf, and hint of carbonation really lift it. For starters we had the Spread Feast and a pear salad. The Spread Feast is a must-try. Five different spreads (babaganoush, avocado, bean, hummus, and shephard salad) served with fruit and vegetables, pita bread and seasonings. The presentation is gorgeous. The pita bread is especially delicious, I have not had better. The shephard salad needs explaining--it is a topping that looks just like pico de gallo, but it is seasoned quite differently in a very good way. We scraped it all up.The pear salad was also a treat, warm pears with arugula and one of the best balsamic vinegar dressings I've eaten. For the mains we had two pastas (veggie and turkey meatball) and Beef Shashlik. The pasta was homemade and had good flavor. The dishes ate very soft--the meatball quickly came apart and integrated with the sauce. There was plenty to take home, but we wondered what it would be like the next day given the softness. But it warmed up great, tasting even better than the first day (as often happens) and with the exact same texture. The Beef Shashlik is a deconstructed beef gyro. The tzatziki sauce is replaced with an aioli that tastes very similar, and there's more shephard salad. The beef was good, well seasoned with a good bite. Comes with more of that delicious pita bread. For dessert we finished with the honey almond cake. It was pretty good, layers of cake and sour sweet cream. For me the flavor was kind of one-note honey, and the cake was just slightly gluey--not bad at all, but I would get something else next time. The "Glocal" in the name means global dishes with local consideration. The cuisine is unique for this area, with a lot of Turkish and Azerbaijan influences. The decor and pricing is moderately upscale. The bathrooms were clean and ready. Service was very good. I want to go back for brunch, and to encourage their contribution to the local scene.

The restaurant is New to the neighborhood. The service was very friendly and kind. Lovely family! They have a Breakfast/Brunch menu from 10-3 and a Dinner menu from 3-closing. But they are willing to make anything you see at anytime. Vey ready to answer any questions as well. I ordered the Lamb Tacos. The presentation was beautiful but I thought they seemed a bit small. I was wrong! They are just the perfect size. And SO tasty!!! Very nice flavour. And not too messy! Loved the super fresh ingredients! I will be back with friends.

The food is 5 star but the prices are steep. It was $85 w/tip for 2 of their lesser expensive entrees, 2 drinks & dessert. We ordered the lamb tacos, pear salad, apple watermelon juice, Turkish coffee & coconut dessert. EVERYTHING we tasted was delicious non the less. The music playing was like belly dancing music which fit the theme however, the decor was eclectic which I like but it was alittle all over the place. This may be due to the "international" theme however, it could use some touch ups. I would visit again for brunch perhaps as I'm sure it would not disappoint my palate. Therefore, half a point off for steep pricing & half point off for scattered decor. Don't let this discourage you from visiting for your palate will thank you later, your wallet, not no much! Jalyn was our waitress & her service was impeccable!

Excellent local gem. This is a must try. Great flavorful food and the hibiscus drink is refreshing and not overly sweet. I had the lamb ravioli and my wife had the shrimp pasta. Both are outstanding. Service was very attentive and personable . Ambiance is warm and inviting for families. Let's support this local family owned place and keep them here!

On our second visit, we brought three other couples with us on Sunday about 12:30. Both brunch and dinner menus were available.A variety of items (eggplant sandwich, brisket omelette, turkey meatball spaghetti, chicken wrap, chicken pesto sandwich, Turkish coffee) were ordered by our diverse party, and everyone liked their food and said they will return. I will only detail the ones I ate.Lamb tacos were amazing. As everything I've had here, perfectly seasoned and perfect blend of flavors. They were a bit messy with thinner and less taco shell than I am used to, but the end result was actually perfect - satisfying and not overly heavy. The side salad had a fantastic balsamic vinaigrette. The watermelon apple drink was delicious and refreshing.

Me and my family had no idea what we would find at a place called Sona's Glocal food however we were not disappointed! Everything from our appetizer "the spread feast" to our desserts the baklava and honey cake had unique innovative twists to them. My family typically doesn't love standard Greek desserts but we were pleasantly surprised by all of Sona's offerings. The predominant cuisine in their food was Turkish but international experimentation really made all the dishes excellent. Our waitress was wonderful and offered great recommendations. The presentation on all the dishes was amazing and certainly Gram worthy. If you are in the area don't overlook this gem because of the few reviews, otherwise you will be missing out!

I have been looking forward to trying this place since they opened a few months ago and they did not disappoint.I stopped in around 11am on a Saturday, so I tried the lamb omelette and Turkish coffee from their brunch menu. The omelette was very flavorful and not one bit dried out from overcooking. The coffee was strong but delicious. I love beef tartare with a passion and couldn't help myself from ordering theirs to try before leaving. It was unlike most I've tried in terms of flavor but in a good way. Very refreshing and light feeling with a lovely cultural flair to the taste. My server was the sweetest young woman and I cannot wait to come back.

This was my first time at this restaurant and it was such a great experience. I loved the fact that it is only about 10 minutes from me. They have such a rich and diverse menu. Our server, Jaylynn (not sure I spelled her name right) was so accommodating, pleasant and kind. She provided my friends and I a beautiful description of each item we chose to order and made excellent suggestions. My sister and I had the shrimp omelette and I added feta and mushroom to mine. One of our other friends ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and a potato pancake, which I sampled that was delicious. Our other friend, who is vegetarian, had the veggie pasta which was also delicious! The ambiance was nice and just as the pictures described. It is a family owned business and I would highly recommend them! Thank you again for such a wonderful first experience!
