I hadn't been here since my initial visit 10+ years prior, but I gave it a try on a Friday evening for happy hour. I had two drinks--an old fashioned and the lychee martini. I think I preferred the lychee martini though. And I also had the soma shabu, creamy mermaid roll, and the petite crab cakes. Even with some happy hour prices, it really added up a lot, but it was probably too much food. My favorite item by far was the creamy mermaid roll--I devoured that. The soma shabu was basically hot pot, but it wasn't super easy for me to eat, so in hindsight, I should have done without that. The crab cakes were good, so I guess my taste hasn't changed too much over the years. We sat at the bar and they gave us a complimentary appetizer, which was nice. The server was really friendly and attentive. I will say the parking lot seems to be a little more complicated than I'd like, so I'd recommend watching out where you park. I would come back again but it's admittedly not a top sushi place for me.

What keeps bringing me back is the Hamachi Kama. It's always cooked perfectly, simply seasoned allowing the richness of the fish to shine. Tip, if there's a long wait for a table, try grabbing a spot at the bar. The bartenders are always so friendly and attentive yet, not overly intrusive. Perfect for weekday, solo dinner.

Not my favorite sushi experience. Went with a large party for a birthday and food came out randomly to different people at different times. Food overall was a bit pricey vs quality and taste in my opinion. Don't get me wrong - food was solid. Spicy tuna was definitely spicy. Got a wide range of food and rolls. I'd probably come back and try again with a smaller party - maybe a bit overwhelmed serving us!

My Original Lunch Buddy, Kinjo-san, already posted about our memorable epic Omakase dinner at Soma Sushi last night, but I want to make a post for my recollection in the future. As I get older, I'm able to see and appreciate valuable aspects of life. One of them is simply getting together with good friends, and a wonderful meal is always a good excuse. We don't do expensive meals anymore, and it's been years since we had one. It's all worth it for this special occasion, thankfully planned by Kinjo-san and beautifully executed with the thoughtful accommodation of Chef Omi Higa. Our waiter, Mr. P. Nguyen, took great care of us and paced our courses in a relaxed manner, while graciously tolerating my humor. We usually don't drink at all, but we were privileged to partake in a few sips of the celebratory Junmai Daijinjo sake which has rice polished to 23%, lusciously fragrant, layered with floral and fruity tastes, and goes down smoothly. The food is so thoughtfully designed and meticulously presented, a faithful representation of the caring and skillful chef. We were particularly impressed by the Fois Gras Chawanmushi. The two elements complement each other so well that each spoonful yields a rich yet delicate indulgence. I can't choose a favorite because I enjoy, respect, and appreciate each dish for its unique qualities and brilliance. To me, it's all about the people and the wonderful time we spent together. As we never know what tomorrow may bring, I appreciate all the beautiful memories we make together.

We enjoyed our early dinner at Soma. We had the best waitress Michelle! She was super friendly, attentive and goes above and beyond. We also enjoyed the sushi made by Chef Angel! Thank you y'all!

Good sushi good ambiance - went for a late lunch and it was pretty slow. Waitress took forever to bring my drink order but other than that a good experience!I like that they have some second wave type nigiri options in addition to the classic rolls and nigiri.

Haven't been here in years, but I'm glad I did. Sunday is all day happy hour!!!As usual I ordered too much. Edamame with spicy garlic sauce. This is not date night food! Very garlicky, but delicious. Next time I will order the sauce on the side though. Vegetable tempura was very good and a healthy portion. I especially liked that they included chili peppers (large Shoshito I think). Not too hot, and a nice change from the usual veggies. The Crazy Irishman was my favorite roll! Lightly fried, all the right flavors. This will be my go-to roll!Spicy Salmon roll was perfect. Simple, not too spicy. And it actually had texture which usually when they chop up the fish it just seems like a mushy mess to me. This one was spot on. I ate at the bar and the bartender was fast, attentive, and always checking on me to see if I needed anything. There were two bartenders on so the service was great.

The bar is amazing. Tory and Adrian are the best. They go above and beyond for EVERYONE who sits there. I've sat at tables in the restaurant, but nothing will compare to the experience you get while sitting at the bar. From comedy to hot towel service they do it all. They provide an atmosphere that makes you keep coming back. I created a yelp just compliment these young men on showing me what great service should be. The point you in the right direction with food too. Every recommendation was excellent. Especially the shumai. I will definitely be back!

The food is good and the restaurant is nice. Great ambiance/atmosphere. Service was sort of slow for a "not so busy" day but the sushi definitely made up for it! A good friend of mine had been recommending this place for a while now. The King of Kings Roll was nice, bit of spice and the salmon was delicious. The nigiri was great. I dont remember what pieces my friend ordered but they sure were tasty. The gyoza is a bit meatier than other dumplings ive had in the past.Japanese Wagyu Shumai was also very good! I'd definitely recommend this place to other people!-Santangelo Balli Gonzales

The food was good and the service was good! Obviously it's not knock your socks off good sushi but I would 100% go back again for a casual quick dinner or lunch. The happy hour thing pesce was my favorite and would get that again! Great happy hour prices too!! Also the drink I got had yogurt in it and I was intrigued by that. I dont know if that's like a normal cocktail ingredient but I liked it!
