My second time coming here and loved it both times.. the food is delish, very flavorful, and I love that it is not your typical breakfast or lunch. The dessert tray we devoured. It's such a cute place, with cute decor, knowledgeable staff, and you can tell the owner cares. After coming here twice, and all of us trying almost everything on the menu my favorites are 1. Croque Madam 2. Tefta Tangine 3. The "crookie" (cookie crossant)

Sofi is a pretty cosy and humble dining space. As many of the reviews have pointed out already, for brunch, there is no maître d' or service staff. You walk in and find a table, then walk to the front and place your order at the entrance. This is more of a casual cafe setting. Pretty limited seating (maybe 6-8 tables?) but tons of natural lighting and greenery from the outside garden. We got the classic brunch (eggs and a salad) and kefta targine (meatballs in tomato sauce, which was a tad pricey - $24). The targine was hefty and a bit salty. I was glad there was a side of bread to balance it out a little. I felt the classic wasn't a full brunch meal. A small salad with maybe 2 cooked eggs, nothing too outstanding. Overall, Sofi is a nice unique spot for a small bite. The owner is very friendly and mentioned the menu was inspired by his grandma. A very humble and genuine person~ I think the hype simmered down because I was able to get a table of 4 with ease at 10:45am on a Sunday. I can understand the comments of the food coming out slow or the tables not being cleaned quickly for more patrons. They seem to have limited staff. I would say go if you want to catch up with a friend for 45 minutes, stroll around, then find more food.

In visiting for the first time, I was greeted with a warm hello and welcoming smile. The dining room is very pretty. It's quaint and inviting. I had the Moroccan mint tea. It made me happy that it was served in a teapot. The Moroccan Chicken sandwich was delicious . I also had a chocolate croissant. Scrumptious. You'll see from my pics that it is a nice place to visit and try tea, pastry and/or a meal.I will return and bring more friends.

Cosy French and Moroccan blend cafe off Locust. Quick service for the small space. Classic french cuisine fused with Moroccan cooking. We opted for classic French items ordering croque madame and quiche Lorraine. Both came with a side salads and tangerine garnish. Food was flavorful however I'm not sure that my quiche was heated up. It was very cold. Despite this the food and espresso beverages were good.

food: 4/5 - the food we selected were great. Loved the morrocan egg; great texture and enough portion for sharable.- Croque Madame - can def taste the butteriness of the toast. The cheese and ham gave a perfect compliment. Just wished they gave more ham-moroccan mint tea - not cup of tea, no pun intended. It's a good experience to try tho. They have self serve honey/sugar for you to add on.Service: 5/5 - good. The front desk person were knowledgeable and able to provide a few recommendations.Ambiance: 6/5 - absolutely love it. The colors, decor, and furnitures all go together.

Oh boy! This was a great vacation treat! It is super cute and though it's small, it uses it's space well. Once you order there's a separate area to grab your drink and then you can head to a table. It has a cute back patio and some seats on the sidewalk but it was brutally hot out so we ate inside. The indoor tables looked out on their garden. We both got quiche which came with a fresh salad. The quiche was creamy and lovely. The people next to us got a tower of pastry and dessert. If we had more friends with us or if we were 10 years younger we would have gotten it too! You give your order at a counter by the door before going to sit and there is not much space there, but we were lucky that they moved people around pretty quick. They also sell French food imports which were fun to see.Really enjoyed our breakfast and highly recommend.

Looking to feel transported? Look no further than Sofi. I passed by this place on a long walk and, after taking a peek inside, knew I needed to get myself here for lunch ASAP. Cut to: me and Yelptern Emily F sitting in their cozy back garden, noshing on quiche, salad, eggs, and the wonderfully viral crookie AKA croissant cookie that more than lives up to the hype - especially when served with luscious whipped cream and edible flowers to boot. The staff here is so sweet and you really cannot beat the menu. Brunch and lunch options abound with influences from France and Morocco. The design is simple, colorful, and clean. You order at the counter, get a number, and then sit wherever you can find space. This isn't a great pick for larger parties - especially during peak hours. You'll find self serve coffer, iced coffee, and water at bus stations in two locations around the cafe.A lot of genuine care and heart went into the space and it is so refreshing. I will be back time and time again and am thankful to have this gem of a shop on Locust!

Food was INCREDIBLE. Loved the flavors, freshness, and portions. Have to say the crookie (cookie croissant) also lived up to the hype. Service was friendly but I will say the restaurant is set up in a bit of an awkward way. You order at the counter and some things are self-serve but the flow is slightly off. Tables go very quickly during brunch/lunch hour, and it seems like it's that way even on weekdays. They have some outdoor patio seating, indoor seating, and a couple of tables out on the sidewalk. Would be a great spot for Mothers Day, though I'm not sure I'd risk it since you can't make reservations. Very cute overall, and I am looking forward to returning and trying more of what's on the menu.

This place was an interesting concept (French and Moroccan theme). The place was pretty small but has some interesting character inside the building. We went for brunch and their line was so massive. You have to order at the front then they give you a number so they know where to deliver the food to. Since seating was so bad on this brunch weekend, we decided to sit on their small patio even though it was still slightly cold. The patio was very well decorated and faces a really pretty garden. The service here was super slow in my opinion. We had to wait a long time just to get our tea and cappuccinos. It was also weird how our food didn't come out at the same time. Usually it is proper restaurant etiquette to bring out dishes together. It felt a little weird to wait so long to dig in since we were waiting for everyone to get their dishes. The Moroccan tea came out in an interesting pot with interesting glasses. I also ordered Moroccan eggs for the brunch. The eggs came with a salad, some sourdough bread, and orange slices. I found the sourdough kind of hard. I really liked the salad (I loved the use of corn pieces in the salad). The Moroccan eggs were an ok portion size. I wish the tomato sauce added to the eggs had a bit more spice to it (they were pretty plain and weren't as Moroccan spicy as I felt like it should have been). The place also has an extensive dessert menu I didn't really get to try which included crookies (croissant/cookies) and macroons.

Cute spot on locust, loved their decor and vibe and the food matched! Tried their Moroccan eggs (flavorful) and date walnut cake (nice sweet bite but not too sweet). Would've loved to try their melouza, but they were out. Will be returning for more tea, sweets, and quiche!
