If you're on the hunt for a laid-back spot with exceptional brews, Sneaky Penguin Brewing Company (7449 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC) is your go-to. We stumbled upon this hidden gem on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and it quickly became a favorite.Sneaky Penguin offers a great variety of beers, most brewed right on the spot. We kicked things off with their smooth, rich Stout--easily one of my Top 10 for local microbrews. The Cider, sourced from a visiting brewery, was a refreshing contrast, perfect for those who prefer a lighter option. And don't sleep on the Ranch-flavored Pretzels; they're seriously addictive. The atmosphere was relaxed, but what really stood out was the service. Chris, our bartender, was a pro. He guided us through their selection with genuine enthusiasm, making sure we found something we loved. As the place started filling up, Chris was attentive and friendly, ensuring everyone felt taken care of.Sneaky Penguin Brewing Company is a must-visit for any beer lover. We had a great time and can't wait to return.

Place is nice and open- plenty of tables inside and out.I tried the wine it was smoky (not a fan)I ended up with the lemon drop beer - no lemon flavor it was really lite.I also was able to bring our dog in and sit while we had a beer. Plenty of water bowls available. They have trivia and music nights- check out their website.

Located in a strip mall, this location not only has a cute name, but also great beer! We arrived on Wednesday evening and had no idea it was trivia night. The place was packed!! My husband got their brown ale which was really good and I got the Mr. Popper which is a light and crisp beer! We really enjoyed the beer!

Quite a few things to like about this place. Recommended.Service was casual and friendly. The beer selection likely provides an option for any taste. The Wing it Again Hazy was barely hazy, but all tasty. It's a light version of a hazy imo. The Empty Office NE IPA was stellar. It looked like a hazy and bit like a West Coast IPA. The Adelie Porter was basically what you'd want from that style. The Southern Rockhooper Brown Ale was ok. A little thin and light for my taste but not bad.I love the spacious interior and "patio" area. This translates to plenty of seats inside and out. Granted, you are looking at a shopping center parking lot, but that's not uncommon.Extra points for how pet-friendly they are. My little pup was welcome inside and out. Free homemade dog biscuits were available in a jar on the day I was there, and the water bowls were both full. Well done! The music was to my liking on this Thursday day-drinking experience. And ESPN was on the big screen, so you can expect a low-key sporting event vibe in here too.Lots of parking, and plenty of restaurants in the same shopping center for takeout grub.On a personal note, I used to live down the road a bit, in the 1980's. Boondini's (RIP) was in this shopping center. There was a touch of nostalgia and sadness over how things change. I'm glad this kind of place is keeping the vibe in this area alive. If I still lived here, they'd know my name

4.5 - The most important stuff first; well chosen selection of styles and very balanced, drinkable brews. I tried four half pours of completely different styles and would order all again. Although I live hours away I've been watching their tap lineup anticipating a visit and it does seem to adjust seasonly, very smart.Clean and comfortable environment. I don't mind TV's in breweries long as the volume is low and mgmt./owners don't allow it to become a Sports Bar. Plenty of seating inside or out and the staff was friendly and gladly offering help to those who needed it. FWIW I think they're in a fantastic location and will do quite well as long as they maintain what they have going. I'm pulling for 'em because I love good beer and could walk to this strip center from my first home many, many years ago. It had my favorite Mexican restaurant and a T.J. Cinnamons then. I'd do bad things for one of those Pecan Sticky Buns now!

First off I love the name of this brewery. I tried two flights and my husband ordered two pints. His favorite was the brown ale and my favorite was the Juicy Time IPA. I can't wait to try more beers once they have been open a little bit longer.

I'm pretty stoked about a new brewery opening up in this part of town. The place is fixed up nice with a decent amount of seating inside, a few tables outside with a wide sidewalk/patio separating it from the parking lot- many littles were using this to get out their energy while mom and dad had liquid refreshment. The garage door style front is real nice for more of an open air frel. The high ceilings inside did make for a loud atmosphere that could use some sound dampening apparatus. Another bonus on location is the proximity to a number of good food options! Now the brews. I only had one, a pumpkin stout, that I found quite enjoyable. My friend said his iPad was decent but I can't vouch for that first hand. They have a nice handful+ of options for just starting and see good potential here. There weren't any sours, which I get are somewhat niche, but I had to mention regardless. They have growler cans you can have filled up on order and taken to go. Pretty nifty (I don't get out too much these days). Other offerings include bull city cider and some wines. I'll definitely be hitting this place up again soon.

First time trying this new brewery and we loved it! They only have three of their own beers right now. I ordered the cream ale and husband the IPA and we were both really impressed. Bartender was friendly and let me taste the cream ale first. Great ambiance -- open and laidback. Love the cute penguin logo. I look forward to trying their future beers!

This is a brand new local brewery. I found out from a bartender that the owner actually brewed beers for about 15 years at his house and then decided to expand and buy a space to share his craft. We actually went there for a trivia night which they do every Wednesday. The DJ did a great job of announcing the questions and having lots of different rounds with lots of different content. I tried multiple different beers and they were all delicious. I liked that they also had unique cups and glasses and decor. I love the fact that all their beers are named after penguins because they are the sneaky penguin. They also had an outdoor area that I am excited to try when it warms up. I would recommend this any day of the week.
