If you come near Nash county you have to stop here. It's down home southern food (my favorite) the staff is always pleasant but be prepared to wait a few mins during lunch rush or for breakfast. Trust me....you want to wait. The HOBO biscuit for breakfast or the tenderloin and gravy with hoop cheese would be my recommendations if you stop for breakfast! And you can never go wrong with brightleaf hotdogs and fries for lunch Stop Nextdoor at the Smiths grocery store while you are there! They have a great variety of candies and jarred goods. Salsa, relish, pickled veggies......all of it.

Love this hot lunch restaurant. Closed on Sundays so plan accordingly--you don't want to miss it.

Friendliest folks you'd ever want to meet. Food was excellent..... especially those tenderloin biscuits. I bought 6 to take home to share with friends.

Everything is down home comfort food. Being from NYC it was so pleasant to not be rushed or feel pressured to order and eat. Everything was slow and pleasant. Food was absolutely amazing. Fresh home country cooked.

What a Southern Treasure we found ...Anyone traveling on 95 you owe it to yourself to Mapquest this Mom & Pop Restaurant....About a minute of the interstate and extremely easy to locate in a small little strip plaza.This place was packed and we know the reason why, outstanding southern hospitality and some amazing home cooked food !!The sweet tea was outstanding with someone always coming around asking if you need a refill.Our food was killer ..... full of flavor and the biscuits are some of the best ! The 2 sandwiches are amazing, simply dynamite!You have the ability to prefer from the menu or head down a line and select your choices, seems many locals know how to do it .... Our server was so nice, friendly and full of southern charm. Thank you for great service !Oh .... The home fries .... Very original and flavor packed !We highly recommend dining here.

What fun for a couple of folks from New England to enjoy Southern hospitality and good cooking! Wait staff was hustling! Acknowledged us right away, explained how buffet vs table service worked, and got us coffee in big styrofoam cups right away. It felt like The Place to Be!!

Oh my goodness!! This was sooo good! It was very busy, but it didn't take too long to be seated. Service was quick and the food was delicious! That was the best French toast I've had around here! Our waitress was Angela, and she was amazing! This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back!!
