Slick Willie's Family Pool Halls

This is my go to place to play pool. I feel its a bit expensive on the weekend. 1 hr at this place and you can end up spending $30-$50. Staff is polite. Vibe is good.

If you don't do hole in the wall spots. This spot is everything. Ike is the bartender and he is EVERYTHING! Great personality and all. He recommends the best drinks and very personable. This place is not upscale but great music and drinks. Awesome hole in the wall bar. If you love poke this is a POOL HALL with great drinks and music. If in the neighborhood it's a great meetup spot with good service and good drinks. The location is great with plenty of ‍ drinks. Met all kinds of people. They have plenty of parking and very easy to locate. I will definitely be back. Try a OMG shot it's awesome.

Nothing has changed over the years with the Slick Willie's franchise. Except the fact that now pool halls are becoming less frequented because of the old taboo that it was a dangerous place to venture. Well, it may have been true 15 years ago, but now, the crowd has gotten more young, chill and just out to have a good time. The decor remains the same but the equipment is much more dated. The craft beer selections is a breath of fresh air catering to the young and hipster crowd both alike! There's plenty of billiard tables that you can play for free as long as you're drinking which is an added bonus since that's what we came to do! The same vibe today is not that of back then. It seems drama free, care free and a cool place to get your game in and have a few drinks with some friends or family!

I have to admit that I like this place. I had just come from dinner, so I was neither hungry nor thirsty. No foods were offered to me, so I like that they allowed me to dictate my pace. For the staff not to offer may be an irritant to some, but since it is a pool hall, I like that they put that mentality first. I do know that they charge by the minute. I would be comfortable giving them a 4 star rating except one thing happened...they forgot to give me all the pool balls on the initial handing out of supplies!That would not be an issue, but if you are charged per minute, and you have to wait several minutes for the one guy handing out supplies to get back to your area, then that is kind of unfair to the customer to have dead time waiting on your to do your initial task properly and charge me for your mess up. Screw your 4th star!!!I like that they have a great deal before the night time hours kicks in with regards to pricing. You were charged about $7 an hour ($0.11 a minute) for pool on my particular Sunday. It goes to $14 ($0.22 a minute) an hour for the nighttime play. I was not told if the night time was something based on a set time, or if it was when you looked outside and saw it was dark.I noticed a full bar, darts, a game to test how hard you can punch, a basketball shooting machine, and a menu with light eats...with no prices...I hate no prices. I should take away another star for not allowing my frugal meter to activate and scope accordingly!All in all, a good experience. They truly earned that 4th star on the strength of them not allowing smoking inside of the building! That's a huge plus for me. So, you do get the 4th star. If I order food next time, you just may lose that forth star, so be ready!

Chill for a date night or family fun. Definitely gotta come on Wednesday for the $5 all day special.. Good after work release

I really wanted to give it only 1 to 2 stars but Damien and another bartender saved the day.Emily, our waitress, very pretty lady came and took our orders. When bringing the drinks back, she presented the drinks to my guy friend and his father and placed my drink on the table (opposite of the one I was sitting at). Unlike the others, I wasn't handed my drink nor was I greeted when I first came in. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I started going to the bar for my drinks and the bartenders were so friendly and approachable. Emily only paid attention to the men in my party. The bartenders made sure to focus on EVERYONE at the bar. Thanks Damien! Definitely gave them a big tip for that!

My brother went to slick Willie's last night to play pool and enjoy. He ordered a drink from his waitress while he played pool. Seemed like a slow night only two people at the bar. The drink took over twenty minutes to come out. He (Michael) asked the waitress to cancel it due to the wait and he was done and leaving soon. The waitress said "ok" and acknowledged to cancel the drink. The waitress advised stated," sorry the bar is backed up."The waitress brought out his check as well as the drink and then notified him she could not cancel it due to the liquor being already poured even though she acknowledged to cancel the drink initially and advised his drinking was taking long due to the bar being backed up. He advised he did not want the drink and did not drink the drink. He asked for a manager hoping for a better outcome and it only got worse. He gave his card to pay for the pool table he utilized how ever they charged him for the drink as well that he didn't drink and canceled. If there was an issue canceling , it should have been stated when he advised. Why would you acknowledge me canceling if that's not possible. The manager on duty, ELVIS, White male maybe early-mid 40's long black hair, long sleeve black shirt & black pants, was the bartender/ the manager on 3/28 approximately around 11pm to Close asked me for my Driver License. He WITHHELD MY LICENSE and tried to force me to sign it because I refused to sign because they charged me for the drink after it was acknowledged I could cancel. He would not give me my license. I told I have to drive home and needed my license. After 15 min he released my license. I asked for a refund since I didn't not AUTHORIZE him to charge me for that drink that I did not consume and was told "ok" acknowledging I wanted to cancel it. Elvis was unprofessional and lacks knowledge of the law. You cannot keep anyone's license and FORE them to sign. I am disgusted because I did not drink the drink and also would have understood had I been told when I asked about canceling the drink. Instead, I feel deceived. HOLDING my license was UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE. Elvis and the waitress who did not give quality service gives this place a ZERO RATING. Customer service and communication goes a long way.

Tables are okay they definitely show some wear. Only one bartender that has no personality at all. 5.68 for a glass of soda.definitely will not be back to this establishment. Been to several pool halls all over the eastern states. This ranks at the bottom of my list.

They have great tables and fresh new Simonis cloth on the pool tables and very reasonable hourly rates. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

I visited the Katy, Texas location on May 21, 2022, and the staff was awesome! It was my first time playing pool in real life, and invited my family! Great place, especially in the weekends in the afternoon!
