Skallywag Suds N Grub

Came in here for a few drinks and decided to try the barbacoa tacos. These were very tasty but I would have preferred double tortillas like at a Mexican restaurant. They were very good and filled perfectly. The sauce was good as well. The service is by placing your order at the bar. Nothing special. The bartender is just there.The ambiance is casual and they had nice music playing. There were about 8 people inside and some were seated outdoors. I like this place it's my second time visiting here even though the first time was during peak season and you could hardly find a seat.Definitely recommend and will be back during peak season.

Ordered the Buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan. They were good but I prefer fried wings rather than oven baked wings. Just my preference but the sauces were good.

If you need a after-hour hang-out spot when in the area, with an older crowd this is a good spot. The Fish and Shrimp Baskets were good. I was told they serve the Best wings around. There are some very friendly regulars, the Bartender promised to keep us safe from them if needed and tho the food was being cut off in 4 minutes, he still filled our food order a 12:56 am.

Great service, awesome food, unique & fun spot! Should always be your first stop in Kemah!

Been coming here on & off for many years and enjoy the food and beer selection. But, today I don't appreciate the bartender Devin not giving me my change back. She took it upon herself to keep my cash at the register and I had to request for it.

The name brought me in honestly. No acknowledgement upon entry, and that's ok cause they were fairly busy. But you can tell when places take pride in their service and this didn't feel like one of those spots.The atmosphere seems fun and gives that grimey looking for trouble vibe that intrigues me. But sadly that was the end of the intrigue. The red headed bartender looked annoyed the whole time , and apparently they don't do the "Bitchin Bulldog" anymore. So that was a let down.The drink I ordered was watered down and just average like the service. Ended up going elsewhere for food.Their outside patio was nice and you can get a great view of the action on Kemah boardwalk/light house area. Parking is very hard to find and get in and out of. So probably best to come earlier or Uber it. Overall, just nothing memorable and not really worth a return visit for me since I look for adventure/inviting atmosphere and excellent drinks or food.

If you want an ice cold beer and service with a friendly smile or you're hungry and want something a lil different this is the place. The truffle tots are killer and all the burgers have a unique spin. There's always a great selection of local Texas microbrew available

Husband and I went to Skallywag for lunch to try out some of their food because well, we have never tried it! We are so glad that we gave their food a try! The 1955 burger was amazing, cooked to perfection, and juicy! Fries had the right amount of crunch too! Their wings, holy smokes, deliciousness! We did their dry rub and they did not miss! Lots of choices of craft beer, mix drinks, and some of the best service! Haley was our bartender, sure you have to order at the bar, but our food was delivered to us. Tons of TV's, so many different kinds of things hanging from the ground up, might take you a few visits to really enjoy everything. Music was great, not too loud, so we could have a conversation without having to yell.

Both the food and drinks were fresh, delicious and a reasonable price. Definitely will go again!! The happy face was a great addition!
