Siu Kee Duck House

Love this place! This is our go-to spot for consistently good char siu (bbq pork). Very reminiscent of the char siu you'd find in chinatown in NYC. This is also the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch. You go in, order, they chop up the meat, and they'll have it ready for you in 5 minutes or less. The complimentary soup they serve with each combo is a nice touch.

Got 1 duck to take back with us. Price was $33. Duck was lean. Not busy. We were in and out in minutes

In Philly Chinatown, it seems that there's a Chinese BBQ place on every block. Although they all are tasty and priced similarly, we enjoyed this one particularly. It may be due to the BBQ marinate they use, or the cut of meat they use. But it just seems to be more flavorful, and tastier.It is a bit harder to find as it has a smaller store front. They do offer a full range of BBQ selection of duck, pork and pork belly, and chicken. I don't believe that they have a dine-in facility, since we always done take outs and did not observe any dining tables. They take either cash or credit cards.

This is a go-to pit stop to pick up a takeout lunch. The roast duck here is one of the best in the area! Have your $ ready and you'll be in and out with a lunch box to go in less than a minute.

One of my biggest food regrets is not getting the three meat combination platter here at Siu Kee Duck House! I was kicking myself after seeing all of the amazing platters filled with definitely meat, it I was super glad I got to try the roast duck! I got the roast duck platter that was served with rice, greens, and a miso soup for $11. Not a bad deal at all for a quick lunch in Chinatown! The duck was super tender and basically fell off of the bone when I tried to pick it up! The rice also soaked up all of the juices from the duck meat and made it super flavorful! The mid soup was surprisingly really tasty as well! I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! But definitely get the three meat combination platter when you go!Note: this place DOES take credit or debit cards

If you are just walking on 10th street in Chinatown, you will most likely easily pass by this place without a second thought if it were not for the roasted ducks hanging in full display in the windows. If you grew up around Chinatowns in the US, this is nothing surprising. It just lets me know that good Chinese style meats are generally available this shop.When you walk in there, you will definitely notice that is a small and somewhat cramped area. There is enough space for you to stand there and order which is exactly what I did. The first time I was there I had the rice plate with 2 meat combo. I chose the Chinese BBQ pork (Char Siu) along with the roasted duck. It also comes with some pieces of Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan). The pork was juicy and the duck was great as well. I appreciated the low price too as a California transplant, this exact same lunch plate would be at least 25% more expensive back home. The second time I went I decided to just get a 1 meat combo as I much prefer the BBQ pork over the duck at baseline. This ended up being just $7, which I considered a steal! Overall, I will recommend coming here if you are looking for something cheap/to go.They do not take card. Cash and Venmo!

Siu Kee Duck House was recommended by a friend so I had to try it, located in Chinatown near the gate. They only take cash. It is a very intimidate store with order only as they do not have any seats to dine in or dine out. I of course, ordered the 3 meat delight rice bowl with chinese broccoli. I chose the chicken, roast pork, and duck. I also order half a pound of pork belly. The chicken was flavored with ginger and green onion sauce. The roast pork was cooked perfectly and the duck was delicious with rice. Pork belly skin was crispy. Everyone was kind and got the food prepped very quickly. I would go back in a heartbeat.

On a recent trip from Miami, I was looking forward to visiting Philly Chinatown. This tiny place did not disappoint, the sound of the cook chopping the meat on the wooden block, seeing the array of cooked ducks hanging in the windows, and smelling the trifecta of cooked meat, duck, pork, and chicken.I definitely had the duck and roast pork combo sitting under a bed of perfectly cooked white rice and steamed veggies. It was delicious! Make sure you swing by there whenever you are in town.

The food was amazing. Coming from NYC, I'm actually surprised that it was soooooooooo good. Highly recommend. The Peking duck was so darn good- I'm still thinking about it. 5 fives +
