My first time dining here! Food was okay, service was a little spotty. I am gonna give them five stars tho because we weren't ideal patrons. I got the Plov, which was hearty but a little too simple for my tastes. It was literally beef and carrots and rice. The menu said that, but I guess I had been hoping for more vegetables. It was good overall though!Ambiance was nice, kind of a family style restaurant.

This family-run store in Cary was a nice surprise to my Saturday lunch. A very well-decorated interior and a pretty decent menu offering for such a small store. The food was great and came out very quickly. To be honest, everything that I ordered I thought tasted great. Each dish was unique in packed with flavor, as well as a solid portion size and very reasonable prices. Great job from a small family-owned business, would come again!

Outstanding traditional Uzbek food. Dumplings were tasty and big, and dishes came out nice and hot and relatively quickly. Taste was wonderful. Service was very prompt and attentive. Will definitely come again soon to try out other dishes.

Checked out this family run business on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint. Silkroad is a charming establishment offering Uzbek dishes served by the family that owns it. Our waitress was welcoming and ensured we enjoyed our experience from the time we sat down to the moment we left.Every dish we tried was amazing. We started with side salads and beef samsa. Then decided to split spicy fried lagman and lamb plov. The portions were generous and flavors excitably savourable. We couldn't help but watch as the tables around us food was coming out and notated dishes we would be trying next time. The presentation was also nice and the dishware was quite beautiful. They had deserts, which looked amazing, but weWere too full from the generous portioned main course and apps. Will definitely be leaving room next time. Bonus is there's a la farm next door to grab a coffee after this savory meal.

My first time trying Uzbek cuisine did not disappoint. Silk Road is a small, family-run restaurant whose cuisine comes from tradition. Our server took good care of my group. One of us wasn't sure if he could handle the spice level of the Lagman, so she noted to the chefs to cook it with less spice.I ordered my Plov pilaf with lamb meat. My two friends each got the Borscht Soup and the Lagman. All three dishes were prepared and presented well. The eggplant salads were delicious.Overall satisfied with my experience here.Be aware that the dining room is small and there may be a wait during peak hours.

Family had an amazing experience here! The staff was very friendly, and accommodating. The sitting area is small, so we had a bit of a wait. But nice decor, and serving ware. We tried a few things and it was all excellent. The Manti dumplings are huge! But very soft and the beef filling tender. Noodles tasted fresh in the Lagman soup. The mixed kabab platter had a little bit of everything, lamb, beef and chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and juicy. The grilled veg and potatoes were good accompaniments to the meat. Overall it was all flavorful, not spicy. The rice was nice as well, not too sweet. The honey cake was a good end to the meal, light and delicious. Definitely will be going there regularly

A small local shop that offers uzbek cuisine. It was my first time trying uzbek food and it was amazing. We got samsa and fried lagman and everything was so tasty. The fried lagman was well season w a good amount of veggies. Samsas were outstanding, very flaky and juicy inside. We left full and satisfied.

Wow. I wasn't expecting to be blown away. This place was highly recommended by my friends at LaParfumerie. I asked what is good and they told me everything. And so I got just about that. I ordered the Plov, Manti, and spicy lagman noodles. Generous portions and the food is so flavorful and surprisingly delicious. There's a strong clove taste in the lagman noodles. It's perfectly spicy and the noodles were perfection. The plov was also nice. The meat was so tender and full of amazing spices. I don't know how they prepare the carrots in the plov but wow! The manti was out of this world good. Tender bites of beef inside and the sour cream was a nice touch. I had to take some home and will gladly enjoy this for the coming days. I think this is my new favorite restaurant. Friendly service albeit a tiny language gap. Ample parking and even outdoor seating.

Bottom line: Note, this review is on delivery only. Silk Road Uzbek Cuisine gave some hearty and delicious selections for delivery meals. The Manti as well as both beef and lamb Plov were hot, fresh, and satisfying with good portions. The Deets:I had been wanting to change up what I order through delivery, and also saw Silk Road Uzbek Cuisine coming up on my Yelp feed lately. I merged these two into getting some hearty home meal delivery lately a couple times recently from Silk Road. I had no prior experience with Uzbek cuisine so I was eager to try this place out. I have to say...you want a good solid meal for your home delivery then Silk Road definitely has that covered. I have tried the Manti (steamed dumplings with diced beef and onions) and this selection is among my faves...I love dumplings and the filling of beef/onions flavor hit just right. The portion is pretty large in the 4 pieces served, it is definitely enough for an entree. Another good selection I have tried from there is their Plov (Uzbek pilaf) which can be either beef or lamb, the latter for a dollar more at the time of this writing. The menu describes it as "Uzbek pilaf National Uzbek food, layered rice, carrots and meat" and this description drew my attention as having ingredients I love. The beef Plov was very good, the beef itself was very tender but I have to favor the lamb Plov as the flavor profile agreed with me just a bit more satisfying. There is a plentiful amount of rice and carrots in both types I tried. All meals have been delivered hot and fresh. I am glad I ventured out from the norm and tried this newly opened Uzbek cuisine restaurant even if it is through delivery...very hearty, delicious, and satisfying meals. I hopefully will get to try their restaurant location in the future!
