Shish Kabob & Grill

I tried Shish Kabob & Grill and it was pretty good.I tried the Falafel Wrap with a side of French Fries - they were pretty tasty. I wish they had pita bread sandwiches too though. Employees are friendly and they have a small dining area in the restaurant. It's a bit expensive compared to comparable restaurants in the area like Pita Pita/Pita Inn but it's still a decent spot to get some Mediterranean food from.

No pics because I scarfed down the food FAST! We got a to-go order so the dolma / stuffed grape leaves grabbed my attention (one of my favorites) and the shawarma is always a crowd pleaser. They were out of beef so settled for the chicken which had a good flavor. The entree dishes come with a sides - I thoroughly enjoyed the basmati rice and hummus. The dippy sauces were a hot sauce of some sort and a cooling yogurt dippy. Very pleased with the quality and portion.

The food is beyond delicious! It was our first time there. Despite it being the end of the day, the place was very tidy and clean. The food... Mama's lentil soup was fantastic, Burek was very good and we had the Kefta and Chicken combo. The best! And even in the unlikely event they would run out of meat, then the rice alone is worth the visit!! And nice aromatic tea as well. We had a wonderful chat with the owner and also met the parents. The only negative thing is that we can't afford to eat there every day!!

I started with the Baba Ganouj, simply delicious. The Pita was fresh and hot out of the oven. Saw they had a curry chicken special, so tried that based on Amanda's recommendation and I am so glad I did. The chicken was very tender and curry sauce it was cooked in is a melody of wonderful flavor. A light heat that was fantastic. The basmati rice was cooked with turmeric and tasty. A side salad accompanied the dish. More hot pita was brought out to eat with my main dish and remaining Baba Ganouj. Service was fantastic and helpful! I highly recommend Shish Kabob & Grill, family owned business. Very good ambiance and music. Far better than Pita Inn!

Highly recommended!!My wife had been craving a lamb dish for a while, we found shish kabob on yelp and drove 32 miles from Montgomery, IL to try the lamb shank and it was mouth watering, we also ordered the chicken shawarma platter which came with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread.I must say the food was worth every minute of our drive, everything was delicious,the service was super friendly and the restaurant was spotless.We will be back.

Excellent service, amazing food, cozy atmosphere, we will definitely return to try the other dishes, ahhh and the Turkish coffee with baklava you can leave without trying it.Thanks you for the great food.

The food has been consistently delicious. The service is warm, friendly, welcoming and attentive. I enjoy picking up dinner to go.

Delicious food!I had a red lentil soup and a kabob bowl. I had leftovers and brought them home, my son tried it for the first time and had the Pita bread and dipped it in the soup, he loved it! and loved the rice also.I will come back again. Service was great too! The place looked so clean I wished I had enough time to dine in. I wish I had photos but who has time when the food is so fresh and ready to devour. I was hungry :)

Had a falafel wrap and it was great. Comes with a lot of delicious toppings that really add to the flavor. The people in there were super friendly and helpful too. I'll definitely be back!
