Shiki Sushi

So, I decided to treat myself to a birthday lunch at this lovely restaurant I found on the AA site, thinking, "Why not indulge in some culinary magic?" The place had a charming red and white ambiance that made me feel like I was dining in a fancy candy cane factory, and the staff were so friendly, I half expected them to bring me a birthday cake with a marching band.Now, picture this: right behind us was a family with a child who seemed to have mistaken the restaurant for a playground. This little tornado of chaos was causing more mischief than a cat in a room full of laser pointers! At one point, I thought I might have to hire a referee to restore peace at our lunch date. But fear not! The lemon drop drink was so good it felt like a party in my mouth, and the food? Amazing! I was practically doing a happy dance in my seat (which was a little awkward considering the child behind me was now trying to reenact a scene from a superhero movie).Hibachi has officially become my new favorite dish, and I can't wait to come back for more! Just maybe not on a day when the restaurant is hosting the next generation of Olympic gymnasts.

I placed an order to go and when I picked it up the price was much higher than I am used to.They no longer have the BOGO offer on select Sushi it is now BOGO 1/2 off. Since I have been coming here for over a year, I did not ask for the total of my order since it has always been the same.To my surprise, it was almost $20 more! That is not a little bit of money. I guess this place has become a splurge, not a weekday respite from cooking.The food is amazing but the price is rising just like every place else.

This is a huge restaurant. It seems fancy but it's really casual. My family of 4 with two kids dined in for dinner on a Friday night around 9pm. We were seated in the bar area. I thought it was weird but realized the bartender was running the bar and several tables including ours. I believe his name is Paul. He was a brunette Caucasian man with his hair pulled back in a pony tail. His service was phenomenal. He kept making sure to check on us, fill our waters and get our food out timely. Even though he had like 4 tables and the bar to run.This place has a lot of potential to be a 5 star restaurant. Food was ok not bad, but it could be better. They need more front of the house staff. There were three teens at the entrance as hostess and they were not friendly. They seem to have a ton of people in the back cooking. However, only one bartending manning the bar and serving.Our experience only went well because of Paul, our waiter/bartender.

Still a great place for groups, still casually elegant. I arrived around 5 on a rainy Tuesday, and set at the bar. Service is immediate and friendly, even after the velocity picked up. Silent TVs above the bar (not huge, but not tiny) had everything from sports news to a Bob Ross episode. The background music is not immediately slamming, but I didn't hear anything that wasn't released while I was in high school. Sly Stone, Temptations, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin - it was a Motown minute for sure!! Loved it all!There a section of the menu with 6- and 8- piece rolls that are BOGO if you buy a drink. That's my go-to, and it didn't disappoint. Rainbow roll and a Shiki Crunch (shrimp tempura, avocado, topped with eel sauce and crunchies - yum!!)The one thing missing from the cocktail menu is a gin-based drink. The Cucumber Mint Mojito was great, but subbing gin for the vodka would make it a better balance for those who don't want sweet drinks. If I didn't have to drive home, I'd try it!

Excellent food and service here. We went with a large group and the servers were very attentive. Also, the BOGO half off for 2 sushi rolls is an amazing deal!! We started with the spring rolls (yum) and finished with the Florida and San Francisco rolls. My partner said it was some of the best sushi he's ever had!

This place offers a lot of options of food but not really ones I'd consider traditional sushi options, offering stuff like General Tso's Chicken etc.I got the Buy One Get One roll package so tried the dynamite and the blue crab roll. I didn't really see or taste the blue crab and tasted mostly rice. The dynamite was okay but it was lacking any strong flavors.Also got the bento box with sesame chicken but it felt overly sauced and not really tasty. Not sure if I would come again.

I'd probably go back to Shiki Sushi! But I would NOT order the fried rice!The ambiance here is really good. The restaurant looks really clean to me. I doubt they'd ever run out of tables because the restaurant is huge. There are lots of booths! But they also have regular tables.The service was also pretty good.The food was good in general. I liked the sushi. I really liked the orange peel chicken. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and the vegetables seems fresh. However, I hated the fried rice. I couldn't really see any vegetables in the fried rice. But the bigger problem was that it tasted so strongly like bad fake butter. The butter flavor was all I could taste or smell. It was so strong! Truly the worst fried rice I've ever had. And that was strange because the other food was so good!

I like sushi an incredible dining experience from start to finish. fresh, beautifully crafted sushi that bursts with flavor. Each bite feels like a work of art, and the menu offers a wide variety, catering to both sushi aficionados and newcomers. The service is equally impressive--friendly, attentive, and fast, without ever feeling rushed. Despite the restaurant's popularity, wait times are consistently short, making it perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed evening. The combination of top-notch food, excellent service, and minimal wait time makes this sushi spot a true gem. It's easily one of the best places to satisfy my sushi cravings!

It's been a while since I've been here, after all these years this place it's still one of the best in town. Looks like they've done some updates to the inside. Everything here is good but they have some of the best sushi. Too many rolls to say which ones are the best but some great options to share with friends or a great date night. I and my family came in for dinner on last Saturday by 6pm and ask for table of six. The server asked us to wait and they would get a table for us. However, we've been waiting more than 15 minutes and still not have a table while the restaurant was quite slow and many empty spaces.Then, we ordered plenty of sushi and some Thai foods.The Thai's food was great, however, the sushi was really terrible. The salmon was super smells and stinky. The tuna was horrible. We've never been thru this terrible fish like this before. Our daughters are sushi lovers, they ordered a lot of sushi and they all gave up. We had complained and someone told us that's their best fish. I was " Oh Yeah ...". Their best fish was like that...garbage... which may cause people sick and/or hospitalized. We took some pictures and you can see how terrible their fish were...We had to paid more than $300 for the bills and mostly garbage. One of my daughter had vomited after got off the restaurant. This is a TERRIBLE RESTAURANT.REALLY REALLY BAD BAD FOODS, & SERVICES... HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED...!!!
