Such a unique dining experience! You choose your soup base and protein, then you're given noodles, and 11 different toppings to put into your boiling stone pot of hot soup. I got my usual order - tomato soup with beef brisket. Such a hearty and rich bowl! They were quite generous with the amount of beef, and I was absolutely stuffed after the meal. The servers were so kind and friendly too, and had the nicest smiles. They also noticed that we were running low on napkins and gave us more! Our water was also constantly refilled. The store is in Chinatown at a street corner, with lots of dessert options nearby. Definitely a casual lunch/dinner option with quick service!

My go to place when Im hungry in Chinatown! The service is fast and the food is worth the price, which is rare in Chinatown recently. We always order R08 and R16. The soup comes out piping hot with the sides of the toppings. The hot soup is always perfect for the cold weather especially when you want to eat hot pot! The R08 which is a hot and spicy soup gives you the perfect spicy burn down the throat when you drink it. The chicken wings are also good and pairs well with the soups as a side. Theyre super crispy which goes well after eating the soft noodles. They accept cash or venmo.

great place, nice quick hot soup. i forget the specific name but i thibk it is the spicy hot sliced beef soup in the stone bowl. I preferred this style vs the many separated sides/topping because i was too lazy lol. It is typically busy at night but was able to still get seated within 15-20 minutesThe soup had an moderate amount of beef, lots of types of mushrooms, glass noodles. Medium spicy has a good amount of heat but not overbearing but I do enjoy spicy foods. They will caution you before getting a spicier level. The restaurant is p warm inside on a cold day. It also can feel a little. cramped but you can be in and out within an hour. The dishes come out pretty quick!

Authentic Yunnan style noodles soup located in Chinatown Philadelphia, It's a chain originally from New York I believe. The name Shi Miao Dao is a transliteration and the meaning of it is "arrived in 10 seconds" which doesn't mean the food arriving in 10 seconds after you ordered but you can feel like you have arrived to Yunnan after 10 seconds of tasting the food. The most popular dish is of course the rice noodles, there's are different type of soup bases and toppings. For beginner I would recommend the chicken or beef, I personally love the spicy hotpot broth or the Sichuan peppercorn broth with fish fillets. They do prefer cash as a result there's a surcharge for card like many other places.

This is a cute spot In Chinatown at the corner of race street. They serve yunnan noodles which are basically deconstructed noodles. The soup comes in a hot stone pot and all the toppings and noodles are on the side. Toppings include a mix of vegetables like corn, lettuce, pickled vegetables and wood ear mushrooms and a few slices of ham, a quail eggs and fish cake. The soup and stone bowl are super hot so the meal is still piping hot after all the cold stuff is out in. Overall the soup was flavorful. The only complaint is that noodles had a bleachy taste to it. Service was standard. Overall a nice warm meal on a cold day

First time coming here interesting concept of deconstructed noodle soup with various ingredients, very aesthetically pleasing and it's fun to put it all together yourself altho they would do it for you, the noodle is bouncy and chewy was perfectly cooked and the broth was very creamy I got the classic fish noodle soup, you can select from various soup bases, the cold side dishes were delicious and very flavorful, servers were helpful and nice and there was little wait for the noodle soup given it was a busy lunch hour on a weekend, no lines, ample space and great ambience for small or bigger group gatherings

Their food is still in high quality. Their service still great. One thing I wasn't too happy about is the fact that they are one of the restaurants that charge credit card service fees on their customers. If the restaurant doesn't want to cover this fee then maybe they should consider not accepting credit card payments. The customers is not the one signing the agreement with the credit card companies, it's the restaurant or business owner has a contract with the credit card company. But we the customers are being charge or responsible to pay for this fee that the restaurant is entitled to.They added a new item on their menu: Fish Maw and Chicken soup base. The soup base isn't bad, but definitely no fish maw inside. The chicken was very very soft and tender tho. On the other hand, the mushroom with beef soup base the mushroom isn't cook or soaked long enough. The mushroom isn't soft enough, still taste a bit hard to me. I might not go for the mushroom soup base again if i return.
