Shan Chuan is a solid lunch option in this area of East falls, offering both Chinese and Japanese food. I've gotten the sushi and chicken/eggplant special in the past, generally doing take out. The order is always ready when I arrive, and the food is standard and solid for what you'd expect. The fish is fresh, especially for this type of 3 roll special and these days $17 is pretty much one of the better prices you can find these days, and they are made well (ie the sushi/rice doesn't fall apart - see pics) Service is friendly, and I've always called in my orders due to the service charge for online orders. Also $15 minimum for credit card fyiSolid neighborhood spot, would recommend this local restaurant for anyone craving Americanized Chinese food and simple sushi cravings.

Our team ordered from them for lunch delivery during the Independence Dragon Boat Festival. Delivery was on time, and handled the special instructions, and took care of everything we asked for. Food was excellent.

This place in the neighborhood is solid for sushi. Staff friendly. I always get take out, so I'm not sure what the dining experience is like but all the rolls are tasty and I also get the vegetable gyoza regularly. Will continue to return as it is close to home. The food also always is ready in a timely manner for us.

The food was delicious. The cost was very reasonable. We didn't have to wait long for our order. Our only complaint was that the delivery person left it on a very cold front doorstep without knocking, calling, or texting.

I have ordered sushi for delivery from this restaurant many times now. Their Sushi and Rolls are always fresh and well put together, very visually appealing, and very delicious. The delivery service is awesome. You don't have to pay extra for it, but it is nice to add a tip. The delivery gentleman is very friendly and very fast. I added this picture because I keep forgetting to take pictures, but will try to do so in the future. You won't go wrong ordering delivery here. I will be ordering many more times in the future! That should tell you what you need to know!

This is solid Chinese food in the heart of East Falls. I've lived in East Falls for about a year now and finally caved and chose proximity over authenticity. This place was better than expected, and excellent takeout when you have a craving for good old greasy semi-Americanized Chinese cuisine.Prices were lower than other spots nearby (think DJ Kitchen, New Leaf). I believe they're only offering takeout for now, even though most other restaurants have started dine-in again. The lady told us no one wanted to work the waiter jobs, sadly!Will return for more takeout!

Egg rolls are still BANGING!! Top notch shrimp fried rice.I recently tried the Thai Chicken salad and it was really nice. May I suggest you add more veggies and fill it out as a dinner salad. Light but filling.

We ordered chicken curry and general tsao's chicken. Halfway through the chicken curry I decided to inspect what I thought was black pepper. Nope, it was a bug. Gross...but ok, we thought- this stuff happens in restaurants whatever. Through further investigation of the chicken curry we found 2 MORE BUGS. 3 bugs total in one dish. And we probably ate a bunch more considering this was after we finished more than half the plate. Pretty grossed out and Still waiting on our refund, would not recommend. TIP: DONT ASSUME BLACK SPECKS ARE PEPPER!!!
