Tiny- they have inside seating for less than 10 people, but have a patio with 6 or 7 additional tables. We had Panzanella, which is tasty but had no Pan, the soup was delicious. We also had a Muffaletta, which they will warm for you on request. Also tried the Classico and Porcini Arancinis, both of which were excellent, as was the marinara served on the side.

Such a cute place! I ordered the garlic arancini, the panino, pistachio cupcake, iced coffee, and limonata. My favorite thing was the Arancini; so crispy and flavorful, especially with the dipping sauce (marinara?). The panino was good, a bit heavy/greasy but I loved the cheese and pesto. The iced latte was also good, while the limonata was a bit to strong for me (I like watered down drinks). Lastly, I felt like the pistachio cupcake was a bit flavorless. The interior is really cute, I liked the patio although it just looks out onto the busy street.

I've been to Sfera a few times and have reviewed this place before (attached below my original review from a few months ago). I came for dinner the other night and ordered the Pane e Panelle. (My photo has a salad but to avoid confusion, I made this at my house). It's a vegan sandwich that consist of house made chickpea fritters, a vegan lemon-caper aioli and roasted red peppers on a sesame bun. It comes with multiple chickpea fritter patties- they are thin, crispy, flavorful and wide. I was surprised how big the sandwich was. The salty-acidic sauce mixed with the hot peppers made for a bright, unique flavor each for each bite. I'm not sure if the bread is made in house but it was still very good, and the sesame flavor complimented the dish. The service was quick like always however, this sandwich does take a bit longer since it is made to serve. i'm going to continue to support this place and am checking off the variety of options they have. ***prior reviewThis place had no right to be this delicious. a charming corner café, that has a wide range of sicilian street food. the place is quite small but has some indoor, and a good amount of outdoor seating if you wish to eat there. I ordered a sicilian tea, roasted chicken and red pepper relish sandwich and an order of mixed arancini. the tea was good but it wasn't anything special to me. the food on the otherhand...wow. the roasted chicken sandwich toasted on house made foccacia blew me away. the bread nearly melted in my mouse and the red pepper relish / basil pesto combo was brilliant. then we get to the arancini. I got arancini classico and san guiseppe. the classico taste like a high quality fried meatball, and I mean this in the best way. the san guiseppe was really well seasoned. both were so good i was licking my fingers and debating on getting more. I will most definitely be back to try more stuff at this place, as it is wonderful and brings a unique cuisine to the area.

Sfera is fantastic. We got the classico and the porcini arancini, and they were super flavorful. Perfectly fried with creamy risotto and rich, authentic flavors. The tomato salsa that accompanied was the kind of thing that makes you lick the plate. We also split a panino. Equally delicious. I don't know where they are sourcing their ingredients, but I suspect it involved selling souls to the devil.Cappuccino was excellent. Good to know there's such a good cappuccino available in this neighborhood. And don't miss the handpressed limonata.Super friendly and fast counter service.Don't plan to eat there in the winter. You'll be lucky to find a seat in this phone-booth sized space. Just take your stuff and run home. Where you can lick all the plates you want.

Oh wow this is a hidden gem! Sfera blew me away with the freshness and flavor of all their ingredients. The muffuletta sandwich was on fresh, flavorful focaccia, make sure you ask for it pressed! The real star of the show is the Arancini though - WOW I have never had anything like it! So crunchy on the outside and so much flavor. The staff was very kind and I loved the cute decor in the shop and nice outdoor seating. This was definitely worth going out of my way for!

WOW. FANTASTIC. Cute little spot with a menu full of items that really hit and are packed with flavor. There's limited seating inside but a good number of tables outside. Staff is pleasant. I've been twice now and have enjoyed all the items. The arancini are some of the best I've ever had, probably the best. They're large, wonderfully crispy on the outside and chewy creamy splendor on the inside. My favorite is the wild garlic, but you can't really go wrong with any of them. The pistachio-cherry cassata cupcake was dense and slightly chilled, with a bit of cherries on the inside and a slightly sweet whipped ricotta on the top. It was excellent. Great dessert option! The cannoli are perfect! Excellent flavor and size. The fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing and flavorful--exactly what one might expect here. I've tried the Alla Norma pizza, which I enjoyed, but not as much as all the other items. The pizza is a style I've never had before, but I recommend trying. It's kind of like Detroit style pizza, where the sauce is mostly added on top/in a side cup and the dough is thicker and bready. There's breadcrumbs on top, and I particularly enjoyed the creaminess of the ricotta throughout. I'd probably split this with someone next time if I were to get one again, it was a lot combined with a cannoli and two arancini lol. Lastly, the orange pistachio torta had a great flavor. It's quite dense and I think maybe the right moistness, though I love any cake very moist. I was worried it would be too dry for me, but it was ok.

Transport me to Sicily @sferachicago Edgewater, Chicago This is such a cute spot that had the best arancinis, muffuletta sandwich, and uncut sicilian rectangular pizza I've had in Chicago. We got the porcini+ local mushroom arancinis (served with truffle aioli). They also have a classic one with ragu, roasted garlic, or red pepper spinach with cheese. They are HUGE the size of your handThe muffuletta has an amazing olive relish. Must-order if you love olivesBest part yet? Walking 5 mins to the beach and enjoying them at a picnic with my bathing suit ____________________________________ : Danielle (in video) opened Sfera a little over a year ago in the farmers market at Andersonville. She hasn't been back in 15 years and will be back in August, so wish her the best time!. I've heard nothing but good things about this place, so I was pretty stoked to finally try it. I have heard from multiple sources that it's best to order delivery since the seating is very limited. We ordered the roasted chicken and red pepper sandwich, a slice of mozzarella pizza, an arugula salad, a pasta salad, and the aracini San Giuseppe. First of all, I had no idea the sandwich would be delivered cold and wrapped. I wouldn't have gotten it if I knew that and it wasn't that great either. Everything else was alright, but our order along with tip and delivery amounted to over 60 bucks. Not worth the price as far as the amount of food we ordered and the quality of it. I wasn't a fan and will not be ordering from this place again. Very disappointing.

I saw this on Tiktok and was a bit nervous to try it because usually aesthetic places don't taste the best but I can guarantee to you that this place is amazing! I got the chicago pizza and a mix and match arancini (wild garlic and porcini). Everything was so good. I recommend getting the hot chili oil with the pizza as well as it really hit the spot. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was having trouble deciding what to order and they were super patient and kind. I could not have asked for a better experience. They have won me over and I am a super fan now! I mean just look at the pics!

This is the perfect definition of a neighborhood gem. Places like this need to be protected and promoted. The food is delicious. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is cute and comfy. Start with an order of Arancini balls since they are perfect! The Sicilian slice was simple elegance. The Chicago Muffuletta offered a wonderful twist on the classic sandwich with the giardiniera relish. Everything was great and very reasonably priced. Go here! You'll love it!
