Chris Cho's recipe are homelike-- especially the 반찬. The pajeon is crispy and light, the soup is light (wish there was a thicker taste), the galbi is pretty standard and the prices are not terrible.Big fan of the chicken and bibimbap!Cheers!

I'm sorry but the prices are way too high and my jjangmyung did not taste anything like what it is supposed to. It was bitter and had beet (!?) in it and they threw in 2 pieces of beef. This was so bad that I took home leftovers and had to throw them away because the food didn't taste good. I can't speak for any other dishes but I wouldn't order this again. The server was kind though and side dishes were okay.

Finally made it here for a Pre-show dinner. Got there're early - 5ish.relatively empty but started to fill up while we rate. Our server was really good - explained that we were not versed in Korean food and he happily walked us through the right dishes and the right amounts. All in all, very enjoyable food with a good host...

Seorabol has delicious Korean food with large portions and reasonable prices, but I would honestly come back here for the banchan alone! I've found that some Korean restaurants in Philly charge for banchan (which is outrageous by the way!), but Seorabol provides complimentary banchan with pretty large portions and a huge variety of selections. My personal favorite was a fried tofu with a sweet chili sauce - I would've ordered a giant bowl of that and rice as a main!I came with a friend and we shared the Dolsot bibimbap, SRB galbi, and a dduk starter. All of the food was delicious and was more than enough for us both - I ended up taking home our leftovers and got another lunch out of it. Pro tip with the dolsot bibimbap - after you mix up the vegetables smoosh the rice back against the sides and don't touch the rice near the edges until the end, it'll get super crispy!I will absolutely be back here the next time I'm craving Korean!

I had to stop by check out Seorabol on my recent trip to Philly. Thankfully I was staying in the area and it was a short walk from my hotel. It was a slow Tuesday night and I was seated as soon as I walked in. I had the beef Dolsot Bibimbop. It was delicious. I finished the entire entre and all of the sides. I thought it was standard compared to most of the Korean food I've had over the years. Fast and friendly service. I would come back again.

Absolutely love Seorabol! This is the only traditional good Korean food in center city. I love southgate but most dishes are fusion there. Chinatown has a few places but Seorabol blows them out of the park. Excellent ban Chan! Authentic dduk gook, japchae, and pajun! Have liked everything I've ordered from the menu. (Service could be better but I come here for the food)Will be back often and soon!!

Had an appetite for some Korean food and this popped up on my search. We ordered the clay pot mixed rice with veggies (one with seafood which was spicy and the other with tofu with spicy sauce in the side) and I can't tell you how hot the pot was. The rice at the bottom when we eventually got to them made actual crunchy sounds- ahh music to my ears. The server was attentive and brought us extra side dishes (banchan). General Cho chicken was flavorful and made a great appetizer. This place is a winner!

I checked out this restaurant located near Broad Street in Center City. It's really cool that there is a good Korean restaurant located right near the theaters in Philadelphia. The waiter was super animated and nice. There is limited seating and the place got super busy. I suggest going during off hours. The place does have a small bar where you can get anything from wine to beer to soju. I ended up getting the ddukbokgi. The ddukbokgi was spicy and had a ton of fish and rice cakes. We couldn't even finish it between 2 people. The soju selection was pretty good as well. We ended up getting two bottles.

Went here during a weekday for lunch. Quick attentive service. Clean and comfortable seating. Had the short rib lunchbox special, tasty. I'd recommend it. Oh, and the Buddha beer.

Delicious! We were headed to the Kimmel to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra but grabbed food here first. We ordered the general Cho chicken for appetizer and it was so good! The chicken was so tender and the sauce was tangy and plentiful. We each ordered the bibimbap... mine with tofu, one friend with chicken and one friend with beef. We made the choice for the clay pot and this dish had all of the flavors, the sizzle and a perfectly runny egg. This place shouldn't be missed. The food here (as well as the service) was delightful.
