Venue Ballard

I love this shop! It's one of my favorite boutiques in Ballard. As a self-proclaimed stationery nerd, this store is basically heaven. They have a fantastic selection of beautiful, locally made cards, as well as other gift items like mugs, home decor, and art. They have several small rooms off to the right, where artists can showcase their work for a set period of time. As a customer, it's a fun way to discover fabulous local artists!

This store is so cute! One of my favorite boutique stores on Ballard Ave among the dozens of them. Love that they showcase local artists. This means there's always something new to look at which makes visiting fun. The interior feels like a gallery or museum, but with the whole place being the gift shop. LOL

I walked in today, being the only person that was in that shop I thought I would be greeted with at least a hello. This older women who was behind the counter looked at me and went back down to doing what she was doing. I do think it's because I am a women of color. Too bad I was ready to drop some cash. I won't support businesses with this type of attitude. Now if it was busy I could see how this would be different, but regardless your store was empty, at least say hello to someone who wants to support your store! Won't be coming back and won't recommend.
