This is a cool little spot to shop for prints you won't find anywhere else. A nice selection of art supplies and zines make it a unique place! The staff are always friendly and helpful.

I'm a non artist who wanted to try an art class, and I'm now enrolled in my 3rd class at push/pull and loving all the classes. They are non-intimidating for beginners like me, but also great for talented artists like some of the classmates I've had. The store is small but has a great selection of art supplies that are well priced. I am so glad that I found this local business to support!

As from my Collection "Comics Across the Continent" https://www.yelp.com/collection/oiPXY8eQDI2TJGIJhlvu3A, I am a frequent visitor of comic book shops. That said, I'm generally into the more standard LCS kinda shop. But one of the best things about the the PNW is their options for indie/underground comic shops featuring local artists, zines, and more. When my friend invited me up to dinner in Ballard, I didn't realize what kind of geek mecca this neighborhood was - Mox Boarding House, a LCS which sadly closes early, and Push/Pull. So after grabbing a drink, I dragged him to Push/Pull.This place is rad. Bluntly, this isn't your LCS. You are not going to find anything by DC, Marvel, or even Dark Horse comics here. Instead you are going to find local zines and art from the local artist collective here. I got to see some examples of Exquisite Corpse they had on the wall, along with more detailed art pieces across every room (including the bathroom!). There was a lot of Queer material, and I got a Trans comic for my friend. Not exactly comics, but their patches and pins selection is fantastic. I ended up getting some subversive pins for me and my friends - I had to get the Silver Sprocket "Please Kill My Enemies" pin, though I will be jealous when my friend wears his "Nap All Day Sleep All Night Party Never" one.Maxx, the Director, was a treat to speak with. Friendly, knowledgeable, and a solid salesperson. So if looking for something you can't find anywhere else, zines, or even looking to get a bit underground, this is a great shop and gallery. I will be back!

One of the essential art/comics/comix shops in the city. This space for the Push/Pull collective, which hosts all sorts of awesome events around the city, features a lounge area to hang out and read, a generous retail and gallery space jam-packed with awesome art on the walls and the most extensive selection of indie comics and self-published titles for sale in Seattle, plus stickers and zines. If you love the Short Run indie comix festival, check this place out. If you missed buying something from one of Short Run's indie artists, there's a chance that you'll find it here.Great art, unique voices, and lots of stuff to tickle your inner anti-authoritarian weirdo. Push/Pull exemplifies everything that makes Seattle great.

Had a great time browsing and picking out unique Seattle souvenirs for my friends and family. I loved that there were so many zines by local artists. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Seattle!

Interesting little studio and independent comics. I was there for their Nerd Grinder event which was really small but has promise as geek swap meet. I was surprised by the quality of some of the drawings on the wall; not your traditional stuff but someone would like it. I wish them future successes.

Push/Pull is an "underground art and comix" shop that sells and promotes 'Art, Supplies, Classes, and Community.' Came here for the community aspect as they hosted one of many locations for a town wide community cocktail walk was going on. We sipped cardamom-lemon vodka here as featured by a local restaurant. While there we chatted with the shop employees who were very nice. While sipping we browsed the studio looking at are pieces by local artists which can be purchased. A perfect example of supporting small business and local art. Push/Pull lives up to their statement being a part of and promoting the community. There is a fair amount art supplies here - including but of course not limited to Sketch books, brushes, glazes, paints, easels and more. They offer classes and have info about events going, so if you're an artist and want to be in more 'in the know' it may be worth checking out Push/Pull simply for that.I hope Push/Pull continues to be a part of the neighborhood!
