They have several $10 bar bites but my absolute favorite that I will sing from the rooftops about, is the Salmon Crispy Rice. It is SO good! And honestly, it's quite filling. Because I'm a glutton for it, I could seriously eat two plates but one plate alone does the job. They also have a selection of $10 wines on their happy hour menu and they're all from the PNW which is a nice touch. The overall vibe here is sleek, sexy, and perfect for a date night or gathering with friends! They have several other menu items that are tasty but if you're pressed for time and looking for a solid HH, look no further."

In fact, we were happy it was open because many restaurants or eateries on Orcas Island are not open seven days a week. New Leaf seems to be one of the only restaurants that is open the majority of the time. which is lucky because the food is also really fresh and delicious. We had breakfast and dinner here two separate days while visiting the island, both times it was delish! Staff is super friendly And accommodating! Next time we're on the island will definitely stop by again. They are attached to The Outlook Hotel which looks Idealic as well!"

He even moved the umbrella so the sun wasn't in my eyes then kept checking and moving it further out almost into the Sound lol. We brought my kids here who had just flown in from NY and what a glorious evening it was with perfect weather and a perfect waiter! We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which we all shared. We also had some appetizers. The octopus was tender. The strawberry salad was tasty Oysters were the best out of that group Bf and my daughter had the king salmon and my son had the cod which I tried and likedI was full so I had a bite of theirs and loved the salmon! They had bread pudding and said it was awesome! We had a very enjoyable evening here and would definitely return!! Thanks Aqua!!"

This last one was the biggest pleasant surprise with a strong salted egg flavor and tender fish inside. Everything was cooked / fried fresh to order! The owner is really nice as well :)"

The tacos were realllly good and juicy. I also tried their shrimp tacos and they were great as well. I think their drinks (agua frescas) are made from scratch and not the usual powder that you get at most places. And they have a great green sauce! My boyfriend and I have been on the prowl for a good taco place in Kent and I think we found it. They have so many different kinds of tacos here that other restaurants in Kent don't usually offer. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family - even a stranger! Side note: this isn't broadcasted on their yelp page or Facebook page but they have a drive through apparently as well."

These greek brothers refuse to upgrade their credit card dial up service, so if you're paying by card, wait for that 26k modem to activate, make the phone call to the bank and after like 2 minutes, your payment will go through. This can be painful because a line can form easily because of this. Why is this the best fish n chips around? Particularly the Cod? (Not a fan of Halibut). Its breaded perfectly, no oil and PIPING HOT!!! and Juicy!!! If you got a sensitive mouth, better wait a minute or two before taking that first bite, massive warnings to ya!!! How can it be so hot, yet so juicy and still tender at same time? What type of voodoo is this? Just remember, order the Cod n Chips, we actually always skip the fries, you also get charged less if you say no fries. We only have time for the good stuff, the Cod, the Prawns, Oysters, Chowder etc. We keep meaning to try the skewers, soon, one day.Additionally, the famously sometimes temperamental brothers that own the place seem to have softened up a bit. I never had a problem with them, but I am sure their temperament in the past could have garnered some bad reviews.I'm so glad they survived Covid and the bridge closure. A true GEM!!!Get the Cod!!!"

We chose our seats & shortly after, we were served cups and a jug of water. We were quite happy about the jug since we drink a ton of water! Then came the Japche (noodles). It was still steaming from the wok. The tofu soup was bubbling all the way to our table. The first sip I took, I was in love. The kalbi was next! "If you're looking for a place that offers a nice view, huge portions of food and is by the beach area, Bay Breeze is a solid stop.Came here with a big group and overall, had a nice dining experience here. Things to note: - View: If you want a nice view of the sea, do recommend putting in a reservation and requesting this in advance. Totally worth the extra effort. - Service: Friendly staff! Our server definitely did a great job with accommodating my group as we had a couple of small kids. - Cocktails: Wowzer, these drinks pack a nice kick. Definitely recommend ordering one of the many yummy drinks on the menu. Well crafted and worth the taste.- Food: Overall, generous portion for the dishes and quality was excellent. The menu is quite extensive ranging from typical seafood to some Asian fusion style ones. So definitely take a look at all of the options. For me, had the pleasure to try: - Calamari: Sauce had a nice spicy kick to it surprisingly... pretty good overall - Sriracha Shrimp: Not too spicy but I love the broth! Very hearty and dipping the crispy calamari with this was a pretty good combo- Surf & Turf Salad: This thing was huge!!!! Loaded with super fresh veggies, juicy steak and plump shrimp, I was stuffed by the time I finished this dish. Definitely a shareable dish for those who aren't as hungry. Plus, the sesame sauce = sooo good. - Price: Very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you order."

I had never been before, but have been dying to try them since they opened.I arrived a little early, so of course had to try one of their holiday-themed cocktails. My eggnog espresso martini was fabulously delicious. (In fact, when my friend arrived, I might have actually ordered another!)We skipped appies and went right to the main course. I'm a big jambalaya fan and couldn't resist trying theirs. I was a little surprised when I ordered it and the server mentioned it takes half an hour to make - I wish they made note of that in the menu. I probably would have ordered something else had I known; but by now I was craving jambalaya so I was willing to wait!We enjoyed our cocktails while we waited for my jambalaya. When it arrived it was so delicious - hot and spicy and full of yumminess, including jumbo shrimp, sausage, and all the jambalaya goodness. My friend enjoyed her meal, too, and we ended the evening by sharing a bread pudding for dessert. Folks, this was an amazing dish - sweet, creamy, festive, hot, cold, topped with caramel, allllll the good things in one fantastic dessert.Service was great, too! This is a family-friendly spot so it was a bit loud (thanks to a nearby toddler) in our area; if I went back I might sit in the bar to cut down on any potential kiddo interruptions. I hope they bring back their low country boil menu again this summer as I'm dying to try it!"

Emily S. "There's a reason this place is so highly rated. We tried the barramundi both ways (battered and grilled). The fish tacos were delicious-- fried to perfection with a crisp and light crust. You get your money's worth with big portions of fish that are larger than the tortillas and it feels light even though it's fried. The grilled barramundi was also tasty and a great option if you're trying to feel a little healthy. They make good tartar sauce and the fries were done well. We called in our order as we were heading up to Vancouver right after work and were trying to make it before they closed at 7pm. They were gracious to let us stay a little past closing while they cleaned up the kitchen, so our friend who was driving us up was able to eat which was much appreciated. Kyle W. "Very fresh seafood and the quintessential restaurant resembling Pacific Northwestern cooking. We originally made reservations (day of, but still have spots) for 4:30pm but realize that happy hour pricing is ONLY at the bar so we moved to bar seating which still had comparable vibes with the rest of the restaurant, just a bit less intimate. If you want a dinner at a more affordable price, happy hour is the way to go as the items are half off but the portions look to be the same as those at regular pricing. We shared a total of 9 dishes - 5 from happy hour, 2 from regular menu, and 2 from dessert menu. From the happy hour, we got Hawaiian hamachi crudo, Totten Inlet mussels bruschetta, oysters 'brock-a'fella', crispy fried calamari, and Barron Point Manila clams. From the regular menu, we got the barbecued Spanish octopus and heirloom cauliflower. From the dessert menu, we got the key lime pie and ricotta apple beignets. Appetizers: my favorite is the hamachi crudo as it had a nice sesame oil / soy sauce and the cuts are high quality. The mussels bruschetta had a nice sourdough that reminds me of Sea Wolf Baker's sourdough, and the sauce had a light mustard flavor that was not overbearing. The sourdough lended more of the acidity than the sauce itself. The oysters 'brock-a'fella' were good, but they were larger oysters which were not really my preference as I liked the smaller, sweeter kinds. However, the preparation method is excellent and the oysters and the bacon bits on top were flavorful. The manila clams were also fairly fresh; there was less additional flavor as I tasted mostly clam flavor but the soup had a hint of white wine. Regular menu: one of the more popular dishes is the heirloom cauliflower which is like a salad. It is shaved cauliflower and a great starter. The barbecued Spanish octopus is nicely grilled with lots of beans. Compared to the other items we got, this was fairly weak as it is the priciest ($29) and tasted about as good as the food we got at happy hour ($9-12 range). Dessert: key lime pie is nicely tangy with a sweet pie crumb underneath, served in a jar. The ricotta apple beignets were quite sweet with the caramel, but they are still excellent without dipping into the sweeter caramel sauce.Service is good as dishes are served at the appropriate pace without feeling rushed. Water is a bottle, self-serve, but the waiter / bartender still proactively filled water for us occasionally, like between the dinner and the dessert courses. Overall, this place is worth a try, especially during happy hour which you can just pop in anytime 4-5:30pm, but if you want a fancier, more formal dining experience, opt for reservations (which can be tougher for prime 5:30-7:30pm dinner times) and they will seat you at one of many tables spread across the two-story establishment."

"After enjoying a stroll through the botanical gardens and watching the ships go through the locks, the Lockspot Cafe was conveniently located nearby, just in time for a mid afternoon snack of clam chowder and a cold beer on a beautiful sunny day, plenty of seating outside to soak up the sun and enjoy the chowder and brew. The chowder wasn't the best I've ever had, but neither was it definitely not the worst. It could have been a little creamer and buttery tasting, but the amount of clams and over all flavor was good enough, worth the price, and the Maritime IPA went well with it. Maritime being another local brewery to check out later. Service was quick and friendly, a walk up window, place your order, and enjoy the sun for a few minutes. The chowder and beer was perfect to keep me going for the rest of the adventures for the day. Definitely will be back to try their fish n chips. Cheers!"

We got there around 5:15 and were seated immediately. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you don't get here early because the place got really busy as the night went on. They have a great deal for early dinner with 3 courses for $28. I got this along with my parents while my husband ordered from the regular menu. We got bread to start which was a tasty sourdough and a delicious garlic oil to dip it in to. I got the shrimp cocktail and the Caesar salad to start (it was $5 extra for an additional appetizer). The Caesar was tasty and a good size. The shrimp cocktail wasn't my favorite as the shrimp was just lightly tossed in cocktail sauce and I prefer it on the side to dip the shrimp in to. For my entree I got the garlic crab which came with a cluster of crab legs, potatoes and corn. The crab and potatoes didn't have much flavor but the crab seemed fresh. I ended up dipping it in the garlic oil from the bread which made it delicious. The corn was too greasy so I didn't eat much of it. For dessert I got the chocolate mousse which was tasty. My parents got the cod and shrimp scampi which they both enjoyed. My husband got the duck which he really liked and the apple pie for dessert which was delicious. Service was quick and friendly."

Service was so quick and friendly, my friend comes here often so the girl working already knew her order. I decided to order a combo with crawfish and mussels. I think they made some update to the sauce but it was definitely a lot less sweeter than I remember, A+. The mussels and crawfish they had were gigantic. The whole boom bang use to be sickenly sweet that I almost always had take home because I'd get sick of eating it. I did notice the consistency in the sauce has change, it's thicken with corn starch from what I can tell because it's very gravy like. Still delicious. The salad was very good, and had a great balance of flavors. We enjoyed the entrees, but the entrees had a few minor issues. The linguini was covered in a lemon sauce. The lemon was a little overpowering in the sauce, that it took away from the other ingredients in the dish. I added black pepper to the dish which neutralized the flavor and balanced the dish.
