My husband and I went out to dinner at season to taste on Mass Avenue in Cambridge for our 19th anniversary in September. It is a beautiful and intimate space with an open kitchen. The service is casual and friendly, but very attentive. The food was phenomenal and fresh using local ingredients that are in season . There was so much on the menu we wanted to eat that we ended up ordering way too much and had to take some home. Oops! There are two ways to eat here. You can order a small plate as an appetizer and then an entrée. Or you can eat tapas style where you order two or three plates per person. The cocktail list was very inspired and had many interesting offerings. This is a great restaurant for a special occasion or just for a casual but higher end dinner. Be aware that parking is sparse and you should probably make a reservation, especially if you are going on a weekend.

Excellent spot near Porter Square. I must say the food options in this area has really taken off. As a native to NY, I have high expectations and Season to Taste delivered. Favorites included the fried oysters (4 each order), half chicken (the crisp and flavor were fantastic!), and the mushroom app.

Had the 5 course chef's table for $75. I found it to be worth it for sure. Nice view of the kitchen. Service was brisk. Good job at explaining Amouch boucheOysters with some foamed sauce. 4/5 simple and tasty. The oyster was fresh and had been cleaned properly1stAsparagus 4/5 blistered and seared asparagus with asparagus puree and bearnaise sauce. Again, Simple but fresh and tasty.2ndSpring dug parsnip bisque 5/5. Creamy and full of flavor. Came with lobster meat that was cooked perfectly and was very fresh tasting 3rdBenton's ham wrapped scallop 5/5 scallops were pretty cooked and seared and were fresh. Wrapped in a very tasty savory ham. More like prosciutto. A touch of molasses to add sweetness.4th Gas station quail. 4/5 Crispy skin. Awesome smokey spicy honey glaze. Yummy sweet potato puree. The meat was tender. 5thCream brule 4/5 - with maple and pear on top. Classic cream brule with a little twist. This was a nice way to end the eveningOverall very good. $75 to sit at a chef's table and a satisfying 5 course meal. Also for non drinkers pretty decent mocktail list. Highly recommend. Will return for the a la carte menu and when the tasting menu changes.

Great setting and service for a family dinner! Tried tennessee caviar (3/5 more focus was on the potato for sure), salmon belly poke (3/5 bit heavy on the sauce and not enough salmon), snap pea salad (5/5 yum), nettle gnocchi (5/5 so so good), fritto misto (4/5 pretty good and standard but small), crispy pork ribs (4/5 yummy but sauce is a tad too sweet and salty), halibut (3/5 pretty dry and overdone), fried half chicken (4/5 a touch too sweet on the sauce), cider glazed pork chop (4/5 a bit too acidic), ny strip steak (5/5 delicious), and maple crème brûlée (5/5 so good).Overall was a great menu, ingredients, and creativity, just was missing finesse in ingredient proportions (would give a 3.5/5 if I could). I would still definitely return to try this again because of the high quality potential!!

Visiting Boston in the Cambridge area n was Looking for a place for dinner on a Saturday evening n came upon seasons to taste w great reviews n thought we'd try the restaurant. Turned out to be a good pick. Clean chic restaurant. Friendly staff.Started off w the cheddar and thyme biscuits. Oh it was warm n so good n flavorful. The pimento cheese butter went well with it. We also shared the shredded kale salad and winter citrus salad. They both were so fresh.' The candied walnuts gave a nice twist to the citrus salad. The kale had squash croutons which were really good. Never had squash croutons before. For entrees we had the pan seared stripped bass , roasted wild salmon n lentil and butternut squash casserole. The salmon was delicious w the porcini stuffing n okra. Quite different The . Kohlrabe latke went well w striped bass n was v tasty. Lentil n butternut squash casserole was so good n filling . Something out of the ordinary n delicious. We topped it off w maple crème brûlée and house special bread pudding w ice cream. Oh they were heavenly.Thank you for a great meal. Will be back again when in the area. Also there was free street parking on Mass Ave. we were lucky.

I've had my eye on this place for a while and finally came in for dinner on the patio. The atmosphere was both upscale and relaxed, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Combined with lovely weather, it was a perfect dining experience. My favorite dish was either the nettle gnocchi with mushrooms or the shishito peppers with malt sauce. The flavors were very rich but also balanced - really delicious! We also ordered the bluefish with wax beans, deviled duck eggs, Season Spritz and a jasmine bourbon cocktail - all of which were good as well!

cheddar and thyme biscuit 4.2/5crispy pork ribs 4/5 parisian gnocchi 5/5 lentil and butternut squash casserole 5/5 pan seared striped bass 3.7/5 creme brulee 5/5 s'mores tart 5/5 - very surprised it wasn't overly sweetReally good, definitely want to come again in other seasons to try the new seasonal items they put on the menu. Aside from the crispy pork ribs (which had amazing bold flavors), all of the menu items we tried had very well-balanced, subtle flavor profiles. I'm curious to see if in other seasons, the flavors of dishes will be bolder or if they stay with the subtle flavors (amazing either way). Polite service. Our server gave us good recommendations on number of dishes for the size of our party and allowed us to add extra servings so each person would be able to try each dish. The interior of the place is not loud and well lit. Quite spacious between tables. There's no lot for parking. Street parking only, but we didn't have any issues finding a spot close to the restaurant.

Booked a counter spot, and they have 2 random high tables in the corner by the door. Clearly disappointing when their pictures have a counter at in the actual kitchen space. They even had space at the bar but chose to put us in this last thought spot. Obviously, it was a great view of there door, a guess better than the wall. Obviously, a lack luster experience. They had a good variety of food, each well seasoned and looked lovely on the plate. None of the plates were worth getting again. Would not recommend the bread pudding. The staff is friendly but sparse.Being placed in the corner was mood killing and made the experience pretty gloomy.

Easy 5 stars. Really cute decor inside, warm and attentive service, and the food and drinks were a delight! I think the fact that the only picture I snapped was my entree can be a testament to that. We got the fried oysters and salt cod fritters to start - both had fresh twists to classic preparations that really elevated the dishes to the next level. Would highly recommend either one. Cajun shrimp & grits were delicious - the grits were thick and creamy with chew and flavored well by the gumbo ladled over the middle. The shrimp were also seasoned well and were de-shelled for ease of inhaling. In terms of beverages, I had a sip of my companions drink, que será, Serrano, which was very tasty and not overly sweet. Since I was mostly abstaining from alcohol I had the Main Squeeze mocktail which had an impressively fresh and balanced flavor profile. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood for relaxed but slightly more upscale dining.
