Scooped Ice Cream & Gelato

Get the black rasberry chip! NOTHING like it. You can reall taste the rasberry. They dont skimp on ingredients here like so many others do where you can only taste sugar.

What fun ... vinyl from the times of my life, an eclectic collection of ice cream flavors, and a serving staff that makes me smile just thinking about their smiles, their laughs, and their care for the customers who step in to get their scoops.And, no I did not choose the waffle cone but immediately after securing my order (And, after sampling about 5 flavors) I noticed the waffle maker against one wall. So, I smiled at the young lady with the graciously infectious smile and laugh and said, "So, I guess you make your own waffle cones." Her already awesome smile grew as she said "It's the first thing I do when I come in each day. I actually burn my fingers once in a while but it's worth it because people just love them!"WOW ... that's dedication to one's job.So the most important element of this review goes to the ice cream. And, I fully understand that we each have our own concept of delciousness in ice cream but we all know that ice cream is an essential item from the food group charts we have been shown through the years. It gives us calcium ... fruit is a possibility ... chocolate is a health food as is coffee. Nuts provide protein and I know you can find other health benefits.I happen to be an ice cream lover who enjoys rich creaminess in my ice cream. I am quick to not repeat eating ice cream that parallels the sugary sweet stuff Breyers packages in boxes for grocery stores so if you are seeking a sugar high you might not like the sensuously creamy, smooth and luscious, palette rewarding, and flavorful style of ice cream I savor. So back to the review ....I made my choice ... two flavors in a cup with a cone on top ... OH MY OH YES YES YES ... MORE MORE or would that be too much ... oh yea!!! So, in a short phrase YES I REALLY LIKED THEIR ICE CREAM!I didn't have time to check the records in their collection but I did notice a Billy Joel when I walked in.If you are in media and hungry for a dessert or just longing for some amazing ice cream (That is my everyday reality.) the solution is at SCOOPED!

I have been here many of times and everytime I leave I say the same things. 1. Best ice cream around 2. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you haven't been, I suggest you give it a try. You won't be disappointed. If you are a coffee fan the expresso chip will change your life.

Love the fresh smell of waffle cones. Ice cream good not great. Creamy but not hard packed like I would prefer. Cute to check out if in area but not go out of the way for.

I'm so happy I had the pleasure of visiting this gem while traveling to Swarthmore. My only regret was not getting the employees name! The employee was so warm, kind, and sweet. We learned about how the family makes the ice cream and had the opportunity to try so many flavors before selecting our choice.The shop has so many unique flavors! I really enjoyed the birthday cake, strawberry, lavender, and the raspberry chocolate chip. The ice cream was so rich, creamy, smooth and soft and most importantly not too sweet. If you're ever near Swarthmore College or in Media, PA please support this local family business.

Hands down the best waffle cone I've ever had. While there was a variety of delicious and creamy flavors including peanut butter Oreo and twix, the waffle cone is what really stood out funny enough. There was a wide variety of choices both in ice creams, gelato, and cups / cones, and we just really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and Scooped had a nice Americana ice cream shop vibe, 100% recommend!

Place was very busy on a Saturday night but the 3 young people worked very hard to get everyone their desserts. We had the blueberry, Cookie Monster, raspberry chip, and honey ice cream. Blueberry was incredible. The rest were also good. Even a small was too big for most of us (minus hubby)! Great discovery for us! We tried 4 different well known and reviewed ice cream places during Fall break and this is the kids' favorite.

Another small business trying to do the best with what they got. And what they got? Is really good. On the date of my visit I didn't get the name of the young man that was serving me but he was very pleasant and welcoming. I'm sure prior to Covid there were a lot more options however to make sure not to waste any products there were limited but enough choices. From the entrance throughout the store it's very neat and organized. The store is well lit and the freezer very clean. No splattered ice cream on the glass or outside of the containers. The look, the name and my imagination led me to choose the flavor.......,Lavender. It taste more like vanilla with a hint of something. I'm not quite sure it was lavender but I liked it and it satisfied my ice cream craving.Before I walked in I saw a sign that said, 'we buy, sell or trade'. This didn't register with me as I was on an ice cream mission. But to my delight and surprise vinyl records sitting by the doorway. JACKPOT! Packed in nice neat crates with clearly marked prices. There were a number of choices to satisfy most Opera, Country, Rock and Soul. A few Sound of Philadelphia 'albums' recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound Studio. Thanks for the flashback and ice cream!

I have tasted several flavors of gelato at Scooped, and it is always delicious! There is a real friendly vibe from the staff and patrons at this spot, and I also appreciate their creativity. I haven't tried Cookie Monster yet, but from the faces of the kids enjoying theirs, it's gotta be good!
